Easily said when you haven't been there yet, but soon, after the hum-drum boredom of the grind sets in, that view starts to change. I was the same way before I unlocked. I vowed that NOONE would ever know I played a jedi...but then after 7 months of solo grinding, I said screw it, it's time to finally ENJOY this game for a bit.

bounty hunter n.

  1. One who hunts predatory animals in order to collect a bounty.
  2. One who pursues a criminal or fugitive for whom a reward is offered.

No where in the definition does it say that the BH is a d*ck for grabbing a Bounty on someone because they fell on hard times.

All it takes is one jerk with cloak to put you on the terms without even knowing it.

Also good luck taking out a mission on someone who isn't a full template, i doubt many untemplated jedi will be playing anytime soon, no one wants to grind for days because of one mistake, that's not mean, that's insane.

If you think the posts about "i can't beat so-and-so" were bad before...wait until you have ONLY lvl 80 fully 'plated jedi to hunt...have fun

well first off, i've never actually took the effort to respond to people i consider, well, stupid, but since I'm sure not playin my jedi or grinding my alt anymore I'm somewhat bored and figured, wth.

Do you guys understand that patch 22 is going to, imo, kill the game and all your doing by going out of your way to upset other players is becoming a catalyst for the stagnation? Noobs can't enter the game anymore, who the hell would want to with this kinda crap grind and no content. Grinding jedi arn't gonna play anymore, who wants to get killed and lose a week or two worth of work, esp. since the reward or spending all this time grinding (which will be more than ever before) is payed off with a less than uber character. So now what you have left are full temp jedi and the full temp regular prof players. <.< >.> O.O I sure don't see any FRS, really all thats left for the full temps is the jedi civil war. Now I love pvp, but I do get bored doing it with the same ol' temp over and over again, plus its mostly all duels, any cool, big pvp event causes the server to lag :/ which obv. = not very fun. So here we have the full temp regular profs.....bh's will have only full temps to hunt (that if they already have negative exp will not care to much if they die... or will just run). So really all that will be left is teh GCW.....without jedi and if your server is unbalanced between rebs and imps....too bad, your mostly stuck with that (b/c more people will go to the larger side than will defect tot he smaller side to try to save the pvp, b/c most pppl suck and want an easy way to win). So now we are down to full temp reg. profs all of one faction....well that seems like a fun game w/o any content.

People who hunt jedi for the fun of pvp could easily go participate in the JCW...theres lots of jedi to kill there

People who are full temp jedi and don't want any other jedi.....well i hope you feel special.....b/c its not like your the only one who's already done, jedi are all ready way overpopulated, this isn't gonna change that.

And lastly to the bh who now want to hunt jedi b/c it will hurt them....well honeslty your fairly pitiful, and most likely you will get stomped by the full temps who you hunt, or won't be able to catch the running jedi b/c anyone that thinks like you do can't be to awefully intelligent

And now its time for bed, nighty night

You know? that may happen to be the most degrading flame, I believe, one would ever seen on the entire forums. I can not comprehend the acute though process that must have entailed you to create such a horrid response. Imust submit to you that you have the all feared gift of gab and for that inclusion onto the rest of us common folk, I must bow to your efforts.

Where else have I seen a syntactual delivery that compared to the one you have graced us with. You must be quick with the wit to have something like that posted. Again I would conclude that without your expertese in cutting down someone verbally, I believe ther would be nothing but sheer boredom in these forums.

Congratulate yourself for a job well done. I know you may have strained a few vessels in the process butwhat resulted is something I could never respond to in a manner that would equal you obviously superior intellect.

to itiwisteidi, your main toon is on starsider, enough said........

to dlek_krego, you do realize that was the idea behind the gcw, you'd finish grinding and then go out and pvp. unfortunately there is a tiny bit of skill involved in that so you probably tried it once and got mad because you had spent all your time killing mindless npcs instead of gaining skill playing against opponents who move and think. too many people knew that they would lose too often if they tried pvping without a major advantage over their opponents, thus everyone went jedi before pvping, then discovered pvped afterwards.

to romanbeef, nice job trying to use big words, we are all impressed except your grammar and misuse of some of the words would suggest you're either an idiot who uses a thesaurus or an idiot who uses thesaurus.com.

Yes but who does the exp nerf really benefit? Sure all people that are already master professions shouldn't care to much. Think about who in the game can solo most everything with relative ease. The exp nerf is meant to benefit the Jedi! Even with the exp loss, they will be able to get it back much easier than someone who is a novice marksman trying to grind out marksman, who also wants to group. I really think SOE is a group of guys running a company in their parent's basement. -Seriously.

Here is food for thought. Anything carrying the Star Wars name sells like mad. Books hit #1 in a day on the NY Times best seller list, music CD's, videos, etc. Star Wars is such a marketable franchise that in 1996 Lucas got us all to go see re-released versions of 20 year old films! Oh sorry, he changed 2 or 3 scenes. Think about that. Really give it some thought. Yet SOE can't turn the SWG MMO into even a top 20 MMO...interesting. No nothing is wrong with the Jedi issue in game. Keep telling yourselves that SOE. Before long, 250,000 subscribers will be your goal, not your current rate!?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

-Hey SOE, here's a novel idea. Instead of trying to get new customers to replace the lost ones. Try fixing the bugs so you get new customers and KEEP the old ones too! Next time you delete a post that puts SOE in a bad light, think about giving us reasons to put you in a good light instead. ...you see when someone buys the game it means they want to like it. When they cancel an account it means you made someone who liked the game dislike it. How's that good business again?
Where does a 90% drop is customer base equal good business? SOE

I am so glad that you have taken the time to actually get to know me in game before making such assumptions of me.

I have NEVER liked PvP in the game, as it is not my playstyle. I have been a finished temp for almost 2 months, and I have PvP'ed maybe twice in that whole time, and one of those times was to defend our city's bases.

so you don't like pvp andyou don't like grinding, yet you did nothing in game but grind for 7 months, then decided grinding was boring, so you ground out a jedi template, then did what exactly? fought some uber krayts and gorax? have you looked in to picking up maybe a console rpg(those at least have a story and most have a defined end point)?

Nope. Why? Because I for one feel it is still fun to ROLE-PLAY in a mmoRPg... Not everyone is in this game to be an "uber 1337 PvP pxnzor dood!"

Who are you to dicide how I play my game, or how my playstyle should be?

I dont understand all the nub bh that have posted in here w00t, now we can really keep the jedi population down!1!!!111!!!!. Why does making a person lose even more of their RL time grinding keep any jedi pop down. They lose xp, do they become any less jedi? erm, nope. Yeah, we can control the jedi population like bh are meant to!!1!!!111!. Idiots, no we cant, there is no perma death - jedi are jedi on -10 mill xp or plus 4 mill xp full temps. Besides, if we killed off all the jedi we would have nothing to hunt you morons, more jedi = more fun for bh.....

Really, the majority of my own profession disgust me, but then so did allowing most of you to respec into it. Grind investigation before there were player towns or speeders like I did, then have someone come along and kill you and make you lose 10k inv xp - then see how tough you sound on the forums about how wheeee - lets pwn 4ll teh jed'a1 to show them w3 i5 teh RoxXxoR.

but if you're roleplaying anyways why not just be a fencer? i mean why waste a couple weeks grinding a jedi template if you're just roleplaying anyways? i mean unless you were jealous of the people who could destroy you in pvp then why not just save the time you would have wasted grinding your jedi toon and spend it all pretending you are holding a lightsaber when really its just a stun baton. i always hear this excuse "i became a jedi to roleplay! omg i hate pvp why should i be forced to fight someone who i'm not guaranteed to beat?!" i've never understood why if you're pretending anyways, why not pretend you're holding a lightsaber and thus avoid pvp and being hunted altogether(by simply playing a fencer)?
