Thread: Bounty Hunter Droids
Just a thought but would be nice if Master Bounty hunters could have a special Bounty Hunter Droid that is only usable by them to help them in marks, sort of like a pet with say lvl 25 or so.If a bounty hunter was of lower skill then it would be of lower lvl but would help them in taking out thier marks...
Just a thought
i did that at coronet starport- bria's main selling hub
I was trying to get rid of my stock... in the end I destroyed it
Most BHs want crates of those things, not individual items. It's an inventory thing. I remember that selling individual BH droids while learning the craft was much slower than selling the crates.
I sell the arakyd crates almost as fast as I can stock them. Seekers seem to sell a lot slower. The bounty droidsare so much of a pain in the arse on MEM's and GP's to make, that a rarely waste factory time making them anymore unless someone asks. I am only runnning 2 factories and between the demand for powerups and droid parts so I can actually make droids, it isn't really worth making the things for me.

Do you guys sell many of those to make it worthwhile, I've only made a few crates of the droids and they took over a month to sell... although as the one person said- location location location
I was surprised I couldnt give them away, but you guys made some valid points...
I keep upwards of 400 of each varietey of BH droids on my vendor. I recently spit them into 3 vendors 1 for seekers 1 for probes and 1 for other dorids.
I have had countless BH's tell me that they have been searching for days for a full BH vendor.
But the Arakyds definitely sell out quickly from my vendor.
The seeker droids never deplete once a BH has trained Investigation III. Instead of the ability "Find Bounty Target" that you have at earlier levels of investigation, you get a "Find and Track" ability. Using this ability never depletes your charges on your seeker droids, however. Probe droids don't have this bug, and are needed as the first step in finding a BH mark. That's why probes sell faster than seekers.
However, many people call this seeker bug an exploit, which is terminology I disagree with. It is a bug, but this bug cannot be avoided by a BH, so therefore I hesitate to call it an exploit, as there is no functional mechanic to work around this bug short of deleting your droids after you've used them 10 times.
As a former MBH, I agree that having crates is much more desirable to carrying around tons of individual droids. Probe droids come with 6 charges each (it reads five, but due to another bug, you actually get 6 uses per droid). To get 30 charges, a BH either has to use 5 inventory spots or 1 spot with a crate. I'll take the crate anytime! 30 charges doesn't last long, so I've always carried 2-3 crates on me, which is better than 10-15 probes!
