Just a thought but would be nice if Master Bounty hunters could have a special Bounty Hunter Droid that is only usable by them to help them in marks, sort of like a pet with say lvl 25 or so.If a bounty hunter was of lower skill then it would be of lower lvl but would help them in taking out thier marks...

Just a thought

In all honesty, If I was somebody saying:

Repairing droids for free. Selling bounter hunter droids for double the repairing fee!

I would ignore him and assume he didn't have anything to sell at all, and was just spamming. I know you say you weren't doing that, but what I am saying is that to say you are selling something for "double the cost of zero" is not a good way to get sales.

/shrug

Just my 2cr's

Also, I know a lot of people stand around spamming that they have stuff to sell at the Coronet starport, but I think the majority of those people don't actually sell anything anymore that way. There is too much spam nowadays at those hubs. It's nearly impossible to pick out something you are looking for from all the random nonsense that people are yelling.

You are right I think. That's probably more of an issue than anything I said. The coronet starport is like a flea market. Even in RL, some things just aren't going to sell well at a flea market.

Something to consider:

Most BHs want crates of those things, not individual items. It's an inventory thing. I remember that selling individual BH droids while learning the craft was much slower than selling the crates.

aye BH droids sell better in crates, but these were droids I had laying around the house for decoration.

I do see your point that most BH will go to other starports to get around the lag, I never thought about that.

But I dont do much selling at coronet, wouldnt want to stand around for that long everytime.

Do you guys sell many of those to make it worthwhile, I've only made a few crates of the droids and they took over a month to sell... although as the one person said- location location location

I was surprised I couldnt give them away, but you guys made some valid points...

I sell the arakyd crates almost as fast as I can stock them. Seekers seem to sell a lot slower. The bounty droidsare so much of a pain in the arse on MEM's and GP's to make, that a rarely waste factory time making them anymore unless someone asks. I am only runnning 2 factories and between the demand for powerups and droid parts so I can actually make droids, it isn't really worth making the things for me.

I keep upwards of 400 of each varietey of BH droids on my vendor. I recently spit them into 3 vendors 1 for seekers 1 for probes and 1 for other dorids.

I have had countless BH's tell me that they have been searching for days for a full BH vendor.

I ran a little experiment the other day in coronet (bria server)

I gathered up all my bounty hunter droids both types... and headed to coronet and yelled this message

"Repairing droids for free, selling seeker and probe droids for double repairing fee"

"giving away seeker and probe droids"

you want to know how many I managed to give away? not a single one in twenty minutes... MBH and NBH all over the place-

experiment completed BH dont need our droids- charge thousands of credits per droid from now on

okok, on a more serious note, I was surprised that no one took me up on the offer. Have I missed something in the last weeks or are these droids defective like most other things we make?

Well, I've found that the seekers sell slower than the arakyds, primarily due to the fact that one seeker will pretty much last a BH for all of Investigations 3 and 4.

But the Arakyds definitely sell out quickly from my vendor.

Rule #1: Location

Rule #2: Location

Rule #3: Location

It cannot be stressed enough - you need to have your vendor in a convenient place for your customers. I never used to sell Bounty Hunter droids at all because my shop is out in the middle of nowhere on Naboo. However, after adding a new vendor in a Merchant Tent outside Kaadara, I sell on average about 8-10 crates per day of each. Add to that the powerups, batteries, and Probots that I now sell out of that same vendor and I'm probably looking at an extra 50-60k per day in sales. And I suspect that my sales will only continue to go up as my new vendor becomes better known in the Bounty Hunter community.

Bounty Hunters are busy people. Spamvertising generally gets ignored - they're just trying to get in and out of the starport to get to their next mark.

The seeker droids never deplete once a BH has trained Investigation III. Instead of the ability "Find Bounty Target" that you have at earlier levels of investigation, you get a "Find and Track" ability. Using this ability never depletes your charges on your seeker droids, however. Probe droids don't have this bug, and are needed as the first step in finding a BH mark. That's why probes sell faster than seekers.

However, many people call this seeker bug an exploit, which is terminology I disagree with. It is a bug, but this bug cannot be avoided by a BH, so therefore I hesitate to call it an exploit, as there is no functional mechanic to work around this bug short of deleting your droids after you've used them 10 times.

As a former MBH, I agree that having crates is much more desirable to carrying around tons of individual droids. Probe droids come with 6 charges each (it reads five, but due to another bug, you actually get 6 uses per droid). To get 30 charges, a BH either has to use 5 inventory spots or 1 spot with a crate. I'll take the crate anytime! 30 charges doesn't last long, so I've always carried 2-3 crates on me, which is better than 10-15 probes!
