1. One exploit does not excuse another.

2. It's not against the rules to /duel someone, but using /duel for anything other than challenging someone to a duel is.

"Exploitable bugs include, but are not limited to bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits in-game."Using /duel to find out if a bounty hunter has your mission is an unintended benefit. If "you sense a disturbance in the force" were an intended part of the game, it would be in the game.

its really getting old, i know i know im beating a dead jedi/dead horse, but for gods sake, the dev's need to address this, people who use /duel /end duel are clearly using it in a manner not intended, they need to just remove the cannot duel message cause player can already attack you message., or start giving the people who use it a suspension or something, and maybe they would stop doing it.

just the other day i was going through dantooine, minding my own business, and out of no were i get the /duel /endduel message, so i /tell the guy "hey you know thats a exploit dont you, he /tells me back says you know now ones gives a $hit dont you.... its just prof that they know they can use exsploits and can get away with it.

Im really getting tired of you lame BH complaining about exploits when they are not to your advantage, but you clearly have ABSOLUTLY NO PROBLEM using exploits when it is to your advantage. You cant have it both ways. If you are so weak that you cant take out your target then you shouldnt be a BH. You choose to be a BH live with your choice or re-grind

what does not being able to take out a target have to do with using the /duel expliot, please stay on-topic or remove youself from the thead thank you, good buy.

I think what the poster is saying is that when /duel was an exploit used against Jedi keeping them from fighting back there was no huge outcry from the BH's about how wrong it was.

all you bounty hunters are the same, you just want an i win button. It is so hard to take any of you bounty hunters seriously. when you dont get your way all you do is cry. when you dont get your way in a fight all you do is cry. Bounty Hunter = cry. Is it an ability you get with Master BH? If not maybe the devs should add it for you. You could get Master Cry when you reach master BH. any time you use it on a jedi, it will immediatly drown the jedi in your tears and allow you to DB the jedi. Since its obviouse none of you that posted here can actually collect a bounty on your jedi. Why dont you people learn to hunt...you are bounty HUNTERS after all

the problem here is just walking around minding my own business and get spamed with /duel /enduel when i am not even hunting a jedi,....

basicly the jedi have a button that tells them if this BH is after them or not, and the fact of the matter is there not suposed to have that button.

If that's the case then I don't care because I don't use exploits and I don't care because I wasn't even playing the game when the last /duel exploit was around.

Ok, I hear you. Just don't expect anyone else to care about exploits because they personally don't use them.

Players onall sides are "punished" because of exploits that happened in the distant past.

Its pretty much canon that jedi can sense "disturbances" in the Force - so I veiw anyone who uses /duel as being in tune with the force. BH have ALL the advantages in BH v Jedi combat - yet we whine about petty things - you want total surprise - SPRINT up to your target from 500m away and start firing. Its unrealistic to think that a jedi would stand around wondering if I, the enemy, is going to attack him - they ought to get some kind of default "Force detection or something" We have nothing to lose if we lose - they lose xp if we win - this seems like a silly thing to whine about.

But we Jedi aren't the special Jedi (Luke, Anakin, Yoda, etc). We're the ones who got shot down in Geonosis. We're the ones who got shot in the back, at close range, by people we trusted. Disturbance in the force didn't help them.

And realistically as far as gameplay goes, it shouldn't help us either.

1. There is an unfair advantage in knowing whether or not someone has their mission. Yes, there is even an advantage in knowing that someone doesn't have your mission.

2. It's really, really annoying getting spammed with "(Insert exploiter's name here) challenges you to a duel." messagewhen (Insert exploiter's name here) immediately cancels the challenge, especially when it happens three or four times in ten seconds.

3. It's an exploit. Using an exploit is cheating. Using an exploit can get a player banned.

4. One exploit does not excuse another.

5. If the devs intended a disturbance in the force detection command, it would be in the game. /duel was not intended as that command.

Why is this an issue!?! This is only an issue when cruising around a starport/city. Any BH worth his salt isn't going to be detected. This "issue" comes from the people who feel disadvantaged because their either lack the skill or patience to sneak up/engineer a situation to catch a Jedi off guard.

Let it go..... it's so old, and tired at this point. Most of the poststhat bring it up, come at this like it'sa new issue.
