Thread: Killed a Knight

For the ZILLIONTH time, its a TAG WITHOUT the powers of a knight. A tag. No knight powers. thats what the jedi who were in the frs are trying to tell you. yes he was a knight, but hes no different now than (except the saber) someone who just unlocked and grinded after the knight trials. He is not equal to a real frs knight. in fact a ranked frs knight verses this jedi would probably tear him a apart. its just a tag that was left over from the frs.
Actually look up the frs. i know some of you are all "jedi suck" and blah blah but if you took the time to learn your enemy, youd know this. you want to know why dominant mbhs are so good? they study the jedi and dont post all that jedi suck crap. they are busy while youre posting and they know all about the frs adn what it does, thus knowing how to attack a powerful jedi and suceeding. people who dont know the difference make me sleep better at night. its those who DO know that make me do my homework.
not to say you did bad, and as far as the exploit goes...i dont really care bout that. its the tag that many many new mbhs come across thinking theyre killing a full ranked frs knight and they are not.
QFE, friggin noobs dont know anything about this game. tags dont always auto drop. either accept it or quit the game if it bothers you that much

Ya, this "Jedi Knight" (it was the tag he had up, was Pre-CU I guess)I killed also was a 226K Jedi. Got a bundle of credits and all I was expecting was a trip to the cloner. =)He was in a cantina, had a dancer targetted, and apparently was going through his inventory (with no aura or valor up.) That's when I decided to hit him, even though he had stood behind me just outside of the starport while I pretended to not notice him. Didn't get a /duel message from him, but that doesn't mean he wasn't trying it. If he had done it, he either is really bad or just really didn't think I was a threat and when I didn't attack him right away he wrote me off and went about his business.I saw his toon clapping indicating watching an Entertainer (had him on /examine while I stood outside), and noticed he didn't have defenses up. Walked in, /underhand, /crit, /quick, /crit, /quick, /crit, /deathblow. He was trying to heal the entertainer at first because guess who he had targetted. =PHe was a good sport though. He just laughed and said congrats, apparently BHs had been trying him non-stop for the past two days and I was the first one to take him down.Message Edited by MohdriDarkstar on 10-12-2005 12:43 PM
Come on you're going to call that a bug exploit? It wasn't like it was the passthrough healing glitch. the Jedi simply didn't have a macro replacing his heal button for /forceheal self; It's just a tough break for the jedi.
If the jedi was not in a group and had someone else targeted and could NOT heal himself it is the bug, and this BH clearly rejoices in using bugs to take down his marks... when you use a bug to your advantage in a game its the defination of an exploit.
Pathetic
But the BH has ZERO control over whether or not the Jedi was targeting the Entertainer. Oh, and it isn't a bug that just because you got attacked, your target doesn't automatically shift to the target when you are targeting somebody else. This is because that person technically could be in combat(all be it in a different group) and you could be trying to heal him, but because the game keeps changing targets because you're getting shot you can't.
There was no bug/exploit used here. unless i missed something, which i don't think so
As a huntress for over 1.5 years, I applaud your actions. Finding your mark at the right time, the right place, and at the right moment to strike is the key to take any template down.
3 things matter in our bussiness. Position, position, position.
That is also coming from a pre cu former dark jedi enforceress rank 3 ![]()
Regarding the Knight title/benefits... You're all aware that the bonuses that Knight status gave (Rank 0 FRS) were 5% higher Force Cost (yes, higher) and 2-3% better Powers damage or Enhancer efficiency? The difference between full-template Padawan and Rank 0 Knight were practically meaningless, so your argument that he's not *really* a Knight is technically true, but as meaningless as the distinction between Paddy and Rank 0 Knight in the skill trees. As well, you don't take into account the fact that a player with the Knight title has been full-template since before the CU came out and has a ton of experience under his belt.
"Jedi Knight" can be more than a title, you know.

What he said.
Rank 0 knight got 90 extra force (whoopdedoo) and unnoticable mods to certain abilities. Knights were no better than full template paddy's pre CU the difference now is that a jedi knight is likely to have a decent saber and learned the new system due to the huge respec period everyone got to play with the new templates.
You beat a knight, how you did it is down to you but you walked away alive and 226k richer.

Y'all screaming at me are morons. Even the Jedi I killed was congratulating me.
He COULD heal himself. He got off at least one heal at the end. It was NOT an exploit.
He simply had targetted the Entertainer and had multiple inventory windows open (he admitted to me). As soon as he realized what was going on he had to close a mess of inventory windows and immediately started cliking Force Heal - forgetting he had targetted the Dancer.
He realized his mistake too late.
Not a freaking exploit. A lucky break, and I think I timed it right.
Um... For the Record i was defending you. not calling you an exploiter. So uh... yea. Happy Hunting

A knight was worth then 226k more wasn't it???
Nope.
Actually you could be a knight worth 225k or even less if you dabbled more but enough sp spent for trials.
Value only went up with ranks.

now i remember again thx, forgot about the ranks
ROFL man
you killed a guy who has now pretty much no def (unless he s Mdef) with a crappy weapon
compared to a nyenthi'oris blade a lightsaber is crap now(i can tell you i have a jedi and a fencer stacker) LS 700 max dmg
nyenthi'oris 1300 sliced puped with better speed
there s not reason to blow your horn man, jedi is a weak profession now because of all you BH complaining about a 3 days grinding proffession that you wanted better than a 6 month grind one
once again i congrats the lazzy complainers even if most of em had what they wanted and left the game now after destroyed it
go play CS if you want an easy game or play solo and use cheatcodes![]()
