From what I understand, this is what was supposed to work, but never did.

Correct. Was a move in 000x Marksman that was to counter FD. I have been looking for this info since the whole FD issue began. Would it not have been great to have the counter move fixed instead of this so called fix?

The Rifle posture up attacks Flushing & Flushing2 will not break FD.
As a Rifleman, thebest hope I have of defending my bases, is to keep a mind bleed set on the smuggler and wait it out. If he does get up, he'll have so much blackbar that I can lay him right back down again.

It used to work but they said it was a bug and removed it. 2 weeks before this whole removal of FD thing the debs stated FD was working as intended, lol. Funny how things flip around so fast. Devs dont know how to fix problems, just nerf them. It takes intellegence to find a solution, ignorance to nerf it.

Apparently, he says that it was a very little known fact that most of them that knew it tried to hide.... a posture up attack could get them out of FD.Was this ever tried? If not... why? Knowing this, if it worked, could have saved a lot of people from failed Jedi missions and saved the Smugglers from a nerf.
Posture up used to, but it doesn't as the system currently stands. At the summit many things were discussed. One comment by the developers was that they believed posture up should bring a player out of feign death. That was their standpoint at the time and I certainly do not agree with it. Yet we also have the developers saying FD was never intended to be a move in PVP combat to begin with. That notion was only voiced in the undocumented fan fest of yore.
So as you can see it's quite a muddled situation of where exactly the developers ever intended to take the skill. Something had to be done regarding invulnerability of players (On success, yes FD can fail) and player bounties. Player bounties is something Smugglers look forward to in the future and in that eventuality I think all smugglers should agree that it was just as much a problem for the 'real' smugglers to have. Instead of blaming it entirely on the dabblers.
So the developers took, what I consider to be, the easy way out. Instead of working with the skill and the playerbase, they simply removed the PVP utility of the skill. Solving various problems in one swoop. Then called it a 'bug fix' to justify that action.
If you wanted to know a couple other counters, the Master Jedi Healer ability that Heals all will take a player out of feign death. As will Force Intimidate 2 if I remember right. Heal All was considered to be 'working as intended'. Never received word on Force intimidate 2... those are the current abilities that could counter feign death. Unless they have been changed again.

I was dancing in the Cantina in Mos Eisley (Wanderhome) and through my group I heard something VERY disturbing. Is it true that the gods of SWG are getting rid of Battle Fatigue? If so, what will be the point of the endless hours of dancing in the cantina?

There are entertainers on Wanderhome?
*Grin*
And yea, it's true. The point of endless hours of dancing will be to give inspiration buffs and chat with patrons and other entertainers.

My friend whom got me into the game has a 28k modem, obviously he needs a low populated server... And I had to join him... *sigh* In a way I like it better, all the Coronet dancers are, well, a group of 10, and the occasional newbie who comes in with a "watch me dance!" macro. They're almost alwase there, especially Hab, he's there almost all the time. Too bad it's afk music 75% of the time... They all AFK dance at night, ticks me off...
So, erh, FACT! There are dancers on Wanderhome, and one of 'em carries a flamethrower.
................. yes, 28k modem, that's fact too..........
......... no, he really does play SWG with a 28k modem...
No more questions.
