PVP was never forced on you. You never had to get on the terms. I somehow remained off for the first six months of my grind, save one time, and they were much easier to get on then than they are now.

Yes, each and every instance of a BH attack constitutes forced pvp unless the Jedi has previously consented... forced pvp means that you don't get to choose the time, place, and circumstances of the pvp. And for the most part, Jedi did not get to choose the time, place, and circumstances of the BH attack. That's why it was forced pvp.
Just because the game mechanic was there, didn't FORCE bounty hunters to use it in a way that resulted in forced pvp.
As I've said before, in Test Center Prime, bounty hunters were decent players, they never hunted Jedi unless the Jedi had previously consented to being hunted.

yupp dont forget greivous, boba also dispatched a jedi in a EU book, he took his lightsaber and used it later on for some important reason.

I've played as both MBH and full-template Jedi, they are just two of the professions I mastered in the old SWG. I would have loved to play both of them exclusively and solely as PVE prefessions. This is what some of you simply don't get. This is not a flame, BUT, you took the freedom of choice away from us. There was no need for it. There was a substantial number of players who liked to pvp... you could have limited yourselves to those who were ok with it, those who liked to pvp.
By imposing PVP on those who didn't want it, you in the long run led to the current situation, where forced pvp has been absolutely and completely removed from the game. Don't say that it was OK to do because the game mechanics allowed it, that's just an easy cop-out. You knew that some players didn't like it, and yet some of you insisted on imposing pvp onto others against our wishes... some of you even admitted to flat out getting your kicks this way.
See what happens when you don't respect other players' wishes?? It took a while, but player bounties are now being eliminated. Just ask yourselves, why did you all let it get to this point? No other profession in the game was able to impose forced pvp onto another profession... if handled in a more mature way, maybe player bounties would never have involved forced pvp, and would not have needed to be removed.
You did this to yourselves -- you were the ones taking the missions. Nobody FORCED you to take Jedi missions, or to attack everyone whose mission you had.
All Jedi knew going into it that jedi was a PVP profession, and they CHOSE to go jedi, so there was absolutely no forced PvP, it was 100% by choice. If you go jedi, you will PvP at un-predictable times, it's the consequence of the choice EVERY Jedi made when going jedi.
Any Jedi who whined about "Forced" PvP needed to have their jedi killed off and gotten another regular toon to replace them. because they obviously didn't accept the terms of the agreement going into jedi.
Sorry if i sound harsh, but we all got the email, we all read the forums, we ALL knew what would happen if we got vis, and every Jedi CHOSE to become jedi, they could have quit at any time, they could have never gone it in the first place. Don't ever let anybody convince you that it was Forced on them, because it wasn't.
No. We knew that there was a game mechanic through which others could choose to hunt us... BH's were by no means FORCED TO HUNT JEDI, it's a game mechanic that could have been handled differently by the player base, but, as it turns out, it only happened in Test Center Prime -- this was the only server in which BH's had the decency not to hunt Jedi unless the Jedi consented to be hunted.
Just because the game mechanic existed doesn't mean that anybody was FORCED to use it, that anybody HAD to be subjected to FORCED PVP, that people had to disregard the wishes of other players simply because they could get away with it even in cases when it amounted to sanctioned griefing.
Don' ever let anybody convince you that it wasn't forced pvp, because it was...
Sorry but due to the timeline jedi are hunted. Bounty hunters, in a roleplay sense, are a lower class scum motivated by one thing. Money. In most cases if the price is right they will do the job, moral or not.
Bounty hunters were never depicted in the movies as hunting Jedi... never... Obi-Wan said it quite explicitly in Episode IV, "Darth Vader helped the Empire hunt and destroy the Jedi Knights". Bounty hunters were never shown as having anything to do with it.
Jedi were also said to all be wiped out... What do we have now because of the NGE ? 90% are jedi ?...Really star warsy yea......Plus.. .Jedi were hunted by BHs... Example Grievous wasn't a jedi he killed them for sport, im sure their were more characters to killed jedi
It was said that the Jedi were "all but extint", sure, but it doesn't meant that there couldn't have been a few survivors of Order 66.. Lucas quite wisely left the door open at the end of ROTS, the part with the homing beacon in the Jedi Temple.
Now, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that Grievous was a bounty hunter... he was not. He was a general in the Separatist Army. And the Jedi that he killed were acting officers in the Clone Wars -- Obi-Wan was himself a general. They were military targets, bounty hunting had absolutely nothing to do with it.
I repeat, bounty hunters were NEVER depicted in the movies as hunting Jedi... they were shown hunting and/or trying to kill smugglers, pilots and politicians...

That's expanded universe... if EU is your cup of tea, well, I respect that, but what I said specifically was that this was never shown in the movies... the vast majority of people who dig Star Wars came to like it because of the movies, not because of the EU. The raison d'etre for the EU is twofold, it exists partly for financial reasons and partly to please SW fans who wanted more than what was in the movies... but there have been many examples when something was portrayed a certain way in EU that was later contradicted in the movies... because it's Lucas' prerrogative to correct others on things that may have been inaccurate.

Wrong, All jedi are suppose to be extinct and in exile hiding, Example Yoda.. the jedi we have now are marching in the streets creating turmoil throughout...And also Greivous took up assination missions i.e BH type scenario and killed jedi targets...

The jedi consented by gaining visibility. Every time I was on the terms I knew what I was on for. I was expecting an attack because I did something stupid or was powerful enough I didnt care about it.
No, again you are confusing a game mechanism that allows for forced pvp with consent by a Jedi to engage in pvp at a particular time and place... they are two different things. Nobody forced the bounty hunter to attack the Jedi, regardless of any game mechanic that allowed it. It was still forced pvp.

As I said before, not everyone who likes SW will accept the stuff that got written in the EU, simply because it was done by authors other than Lucas. Jango did in fact kill a Jedi in the Geonosian arena, but it was by no means because he had a specific mission on any Jedi; he was acting more like a bodyguard in that particular instance.
Again, bounty hunters were NEVER shown in the MOVIES taking Jedi missions... it simply never happened.

Holy cow. I mean no offense by this, but you have got to be one of the more ignorant community members I have come across. Jedi are enemies of the empire. To be one means to expect to be attacked if exposed. Its simple logic. The empire feeds bounty hunters with lies such as them being murderers, rapists, etc, so from the bounty hunter's point of view, they are bringing a known criminal to justice.

OK, if you insist -- show me where in a SW movie you saw Aurra Sing take a Jedi mission... I said bounty hunters were never depicted in the movies taking Jedi missions... not everybody buys the EU stuff.

Episode 1 during the pod race. She is there and has lightsabers around her belt.

Grievous was a general in the Separtist army... he was taking out military targets... whether or not he used a lightsaber was beside the point... General Grievous was not a bounty hunter, he was the leader of an army which opposed the republic... it has NOTHING to do with bounty hunting.
