Ok, so if I give up master marksman but keep MBH and MP I'll have enough skill points for one branch of Medic(do to FS skills using skill points)...
What is the best branch to get? I was thinking 0400
I am using 0/0/2/0. I think this branch is better in terms of efficiency.

What works for me is getting close to them. Most if not all the marks will switch to mele. Composite armor can be found pretty easily with a vendor search and the kinetic def is usually between 6 and 7k allthough i have found better.Prices on Valcyn are fair, I hope they are on your server.

All of the suggestions people are giving you here are good ones, my friend...so I'll add mine and some opinions to the mix.
First off, like everyone has said, your armor seems to be your weakest link. If you're planning on going for NPC marks exclusively, 5000ish in both kinetic and energy should be ok. If you plan on hunting Jedi as well, you need to either a get a second suit with 7000+ energy, or if that is not an option make sure your energy resist on the suit you're getting is closer to 6000 ish (a PSG helps also).
I'm in the same boat as you with the FS skills; they really throw a wrench in the works for making a "proper" BH template because healing now is extremely important. Right now I'm 0040 medic with a +19 medical efficiency shirt and I do fine unless I'm in an extreme battle with a Jedi. I'd suggest either go up this branch of medic as far as possible, or go up the ranged healing branch and try to max out on medical efficiency either through clothes or tapes. There is a trade off here, though...if you go up the medical efficiency line you'll be able to heal more in one shot, but you'll have to wait longer between heals...if you go up the ranged line, you won't be able to heal for a much in one shot, but you'll have 2-3 different kinds of heals you can nail in a row...it's really more of personal preference IMHO.
Food...everyone has a different opinion on food, but from what I see there is a basic principal at work...you can have a "weak" buff to your stats that last roughly 45 mins to an hour, or a "strong" buff that lasts anywhere from 5-10 mins. Again, it comes down to personal preference and I'd trust the BH's communities' suggestions on them.
Your gun seems to be ok for now, you might think of upgrading to a double capped weapon, but I really think for now it'll be fine...main thing is to maximize your DPS, you can almost completely bypass special timers by alternating specials (legitimately) and although other BHs may have better ways to do it, I'll tell you want I normally do against NPC marks. First I open with Underhand, then advanced crit, body shot (which is a godsend against one with a high health regen), quickshot, back to adv crit, ect...I have a duelist stance macro so I always have it running, and I recently added a macro to let me know when my underhand can be fired again...the problem with pistols is that you're gonna burn your action fast no matter what, so keep an eye on it...ALWAYS keep enough action in case you get KDed...I have ranged shot set as default attack so while I'm regening action I'm still doing some damage.
If you're fighting a boss mark, sometimes they can be nasty critters...if I find one is doing more damage than I like, I’ll hit warning shot, and then intimidate shot (for me it seems like intimidate sticks more when warning shot is active, but it might just be me.) That, coupled with your armor and duelist stance should keep damage manageable even if the mark has some kind of uber weapon. remember that since you're pistols, you have to be close range, so you ARE going to take damage no matter what.
Since I stick almost exclusively to NPCs due to my FS skills (I can't get enough healing in my temp to be effective vs most Jedi IMHO), I also use a ranged arm that adds 10 m to my range...if you plan on doing Jedi as well I DON'T recommend this as it opens up an armor hole that could get you in trouble. Against NPC's I've noticed almost no difference, once in a great while I’ll get a hard hit that makes me go "**edit**", but always have been able to heal it off.
Anyway, sorry this went so long, so I'll recap:
Better armor: At least 5000 eng (at least 6000 if plan on Jedi, 7000 even better)
Healing: Almost required...due to FS skills you'll probably only be able to have a tree in medic.
Food management: personal preference can go for long "weak" buffs or short "strong" buffs.
DPS (Damage per Shot) management: cycle through your powerful attacks, but watch your action.
Using a ranged arm is viable if you only stick to NPCs.
These are just one person’s opinions, and I know there are people out there who know more than me. If anything I’ve said is in error, apologies in advance.
Good luck!

To the original poster, thanks for posting this. I came back to the game last night, took my BH out for a spin, and had a rather long fight with a 17k HAM mark. I won, but it was close, and was about to post this exact same thread..
On the plus side, I'll have plenty of storage space left once I delete all that pre-CU armor..

Thanks for all the help guys, I got new armor and a good scatter pistol, along with a heavy lightning rifle. Took out master marksman, went medic xx2x but kept rilfe IV for the speed and acc.
So far I've been able to take down guys with 18k without healing, and have taken down over 5 jedi's(in a guild war with some help of course)
Thanks again! ![]()

Sounds like you ran into a boss mark, did he have gold colored chevrons on either side of his health bar?? If so, then dont bother, they are extremely hard to kill, and the loot they drop is trash like jars of bugs and stupid cdef guns and such. Boss marks do not drop good loot like regular marks.
Balooney. I haven't come a cross a mark yet I can't pwn. I have also gotten good loot off of double gold chevrons. Bad loot as well but I have never had trouble pwning marks.
Yeah , I realise this now after trying on another server with my MBH MP. As a master Commando MBH, there was little hope of killing the 35k marks without a load of healing skill, I was getting hit for almost 600 points per hit, even with 7000+ armor on, and my hits where doing barely 500 with my flamethrower. I can actually outdamage my commando with my pistoleer, even though my flamethrower does 1200+ max damage before the powerup "over 350 points stronger than my pistol". Something is very wrong with this.
