Then there is that other group of Master BH's that use skill, experience, preparation and strategy to take on single jedi, and win 50% of the time.

/whisper Jedi is not as powerful as it was once apon a time. Infact they are easily beaten by BHs all the time 1v1.

am i the only one who finds it funny how every jedi in here keeps defending themselves with "i used to be a BH" or "i have a BH alt"? oh yeah... and ArylosIntrepid...stop killing kittens!!!

We are not speaking of BHs my friend...


I am talking about the game as a whole. But, I do think that any player that can take 4 other players is simply too powerful. I want to know why everyone must take a backseat to Jedi?...Why cant the Jedi be balanced ? If doing this would bring back the GCW, then why not do what is needed so that all players can have fun and benifit from that aspect of the game?

as already mentioned, Jedi are no longer such a huge alpha class. Sure we have our strong points, but we also have major weak points that many BH's take advanatage of and come out victorious. There are NUMEROUS people on my server that could take 2 jedi on solo and win. jedi are not "overpowered" anymore. Putting all these skills into master boxes would only gimp Jedi to the point of oblivion. Why? because in order to have 2 of em, almost REQUIRED to survive, you have to waste 80% of your template. That is not right IMO.

oh wow, red i really dont think you understand how weak jedi currently are now. they are pathetic to what they once use to be. if a jedi fought 4 other BH players CL 80, there would absolutelybe no way the jedi would stand a chance against them unless they were complete morons and have never PVP and accidently dueled their teammate BH's somehow and started shooting them while they were fighting you.

I was overt in Theed last night as Master Rifles / Pistoleer 0034. I did not use my Jedi skills because I am still grinding my Jedi template and am a little concerned about visibility currently. I did not die, I got my fair share of PvP rating. Sure we had some Jedi in the group - which really is great, because Jedi tend to ignore non-glowstick wielders hitting them in the head for 800+ damage when they have an opposing Jedi in their face.
Before entering Theed I was at Rori Rebel Outpost and a player city on Rori fighting opposing faction SF players. Before that I was on base defense duty (with only coverts around who took down turrets ).
The night before yesterday I got called to help out bases under attack. Jedi have a mighty respect for turrets and riflemen around them - always stay at 80m as long as the turrets are standing. The defenders killed a few that wandered away from the main group, and just as the last turret went down and the attackers started their rush the next wave of reinforcements arrived. In those fights, the ratio of Jedi to Non-Jedi was about 1:4, if you want to stress it 1:2 at most. And I had a blast.
I did not die a single time - even though I have around 60 skill points I cannot use currently without gaining visibility, which I try to avoid.
I dont know about your server, but I think fighting as a non-Jedi is a blast. Key is to have a well-rounded group (which should include 1 or 2 Jedi) and not to take on 10 enemies alone.

As you appear to be a new-ish player, i'll tell you the story of the GCW and how it was killed.


Once upon a time....


Imps had pets called AT-ST's. They were way more powerful than they are today and would often 1 or 2 shot all opponents. Thesewere thedays before everyone had 85% composite armour and 3k ham buffs.Not only that, they could have *3* of these things out at once and gave theGCW horsea severe kicking.


AT-ST's got the first of their nerfs, rebels started picking up commando for the heavy weapons and started destroying these pets left and right (although people trying to converse with them also helped ) Realising the faction point cost was no longer worth the now higher risk of losing them.. the imps took their toys and went home. The balance of the gcw took another beating.


Then came the cm/riflemen. They would poison/disease you through walls. Apply poisions faster than a master doc could heal. The dot ticks were also not subject to the pvp damage reduction. The dot wars had begun.... and the gcw was down and not getting up.


But it wasn't over quite yet... along came the melee stackers. With defences stacked so high it was physically impossible to hit them. SO much so that soe had to patch in some code that there was always a chance to hit, even a tiny chance, no matter what the defences were. Unless you were in a gank squa..... eerr i mean group of 19 other similiar templates, you would get mown down regularly in theed and coronet. The dot wars were over.. now it was the gank wars.


But the leader of the dots had a plan. They would be rulers once more. People started farming nightsisters and similar mobs for the elite level lva's with god knows what dots on them. 200+ strength mind fire which would apply faster than you could heal it and once again people were still beating on the now rotting corpse of the gcw.



Then along came jedi.. and as we all know, it was they who actually killed the gcw.... yeah sure, and i've slept with more women than ron jeremy

/respec noob bh for the win I guess.

Ya know all this time he's spent on here preaching *his* version of the game, all the true skilled BH are killing jedi and getting rich.

You should try MBH/MRM 4000 CM its a nice jedi soloing temp......I heal just as much as my jedi, but *gasp* that cant be right, they should move that uber healing to Master CM, after all its better for the game.

I would pay to watch his guy take on a pre-pub jedi 4444 guardian decked out in full 90% comp armor with all the jedi skills and high dmg kinetic saber. *ahhh the days*

What people fail to realize is there is always something better, as soon as the crying starts, and SOE hears it the nerfs start flying and something else takes over.


You forgot to add in when CHs were running around with 3 Graul maulers killing everyone in their paths.
