You have a good point, though the system of finding marks is pretty complicated to begin with. I would go back to being a BH if there was a more immersive system like this.

i think something like what your proposing Wolfcould be done with npc marks. that would be one intresting thing to add to pve bounty hunter content.


as far as incentive for jedi/smugglers,if captured you can do the get out of jail mission and be off the bh terms for a week. during a 7day period from when you complete get out of jail missionyou cannot gain visibility. the other option is if you just pay a bribe to a guard or the warden you do not get 7 day of no vis. you just get your name cleared until you build vis like normal.


also you can make a case well i can see abuse in this jedi and or smugglerwanting to be capture for 7 day free reign no vis on terms. well the bh doesn't have to capture you he or she can still deathblow you take a normal payout and the jedi loses xp smuggler no clue what he lose, probly just his life. so i wouldn't trust the bounty hunter so best to fight and win.


i also would think that the jedi and or smuggler can also have a capture option if they incap the bh they can kill him or send him to prison or back to jabba where he has to bribe guard/warden or crimelordsto get out or do a mission for said guard/warden or crimelords to be free and gain good faction standing or put up as a bounty.


also maybe thepayout on the mark thatdefeats a bh on his mission should be raised. since jedi/smuggler beat the bh makes them more dangerous and troublesome so a bigger payout reward for each time they defeat a bh?


i am not 100% sure on this idea cuase of some pros and cons on it, but wanted to throw that out for ya


maybe these can be incentive to get jedi/smuggler to be a part of it as well as fun.

Well, no need to /bump it, at least not for me...I got it bookmarked.


Before we go on with this, I'd like to hear from a Dev how further we could develop a Capture missions. I can think of a lot of elements here, like:


- How exactly would the targeted player the transported? Would it become an item on theInventory? Or would it be insta-transported, like when you die and insta-re-appear on the Cloning Facility?

- And like I asked before, what happens to the player while he is being transported? Will they have to sit and watch? But what if the Bounty Hunter decides to logout, would the targeted Jedi or Smuggler be stuck?

- Were would the captured player stay? At a fixed place depending on faction, I suppose, like: Jabba's for Neutral Missions, Imperial Prison for Imp Missions and Dantooine Rebel Base for Rebel missions. Would the players really stay there? Could them free themselves or would they need friends to do it?

- And what about multiple players captures? Would we have room for all of them? Or would the prisions be instanced like places on Kashyyyk, the Corvette, or both?


And the list goes on...


So we really need to hear a Dev word on this: should we keep this path or maybe make ita little different?


Like...we incap the mark. Then a timer goes on, say, 2 minutes. In this time, we would have opposite faction NPCs spawning, trying to free the mark. Increasing difficulty during these 2 minutes...then, at the end, if the Bounty Hunter manages to hold his position, NPCs representing whoever placed the bounty show up and beat the mark to his death. Sort of a Vendetta Bounty Mission.
