Thread: Do you DB Jedi's that do not fight back? that are LD and/or AFK?

There are a couple ways a person can be ejected from a house:
1- The house is public and the BH engages his mark in the house (while AFK or other)
2- You left a vehicle, mount or droid outside and the BH can attack that and boot you from the house (in the same mannor as if he attacked you while in it).
3- You get a "lag slide" all the way outside (I have been sitting in the circle of my medium naboo house for 5 minutes and then get slid completely outside the house).

Now, In your situation (original poster) you claim to have logged in a house. If you don't use the /logout command YES your character will dissappear in the house and thus NOT be targettable, however you are still "in the game" so to speak, and until the server flushes you -you are stillsubject to methods 2 and 3. If you are popped OUT of the house for any reason you once again become visible and attackable. Its sad this is the way it is. My advice would be to AFK standing,and/or sit and do the /logout command to avoid these situations (specifically number 3).
Yeah, I'd agree this is most likely what happened. Also, I've logged out normally and logged in later to find myself on the other side of the room. My guess issometimes there's some delay between logging and the removal of the character from the world. Perhaps during that time the power butt-slide can still happen, and even though you may have logged you could have slid out of the house while LD. Just another thought.
I think this may be why many many Jedi use large houses and guild halls as their homes, and try to log out in the center of them. Even if you do the but-slide you probably won't slide all the way out.
As for killing LD Jedi - hmm, I'm not sure, I've never been in that situation. I probably would though. I play my Bounty Hunter character to be pretty ruthless and kinda scummy and after money, notinterested in a fair and "honorable"fight. Wouldn't do it with any of my other characters, but yeah, I thik with her I wouldn't hesitate to blow 'em away. It's the nature of the profession, or my interpretation of it anyways. I've killed AFK Jedi in the past, and I have no problem with that.

Iinstantly knew I had LD'd so I quickly went disconnect got to load screen and it would'nt load up, doh! So I fully exited the game and reloaded it. Surprise surprise I loaded as a corpse, DOH!
But anyway I expected to die after I had my connection problem so wasn't madbut hoped the bh wouldn't. Just my typical bad luck to LD at the worst possible moment.
Thats another reason why im a bit reluctant to fight BH, due to the games total randomness, Im scared to ctd if i fight a bh or LD again. I've dueled guys to practise PvPand as soon as i accept I crash every now and again.
But as an LD jedi I would hope the bh would'nt kill me but would expect it so no point getting mad. The guy at the other end doesn't know if its by accident or if i've done it on purpose so fairs fair.

step 1: upgrade your comp, or better yet have a few less macros spamming
Step 2: deal with lag everyone gets it occasionally
My take on it is if I get caught ld or afk - oh well! The bh just got some easy money and gets to brag how he killed a full temp. The 2 that caught me afk even put it in their "bio kill list" lol Oh well. I have to go afk sometimes, sometimes RL takes precidence for 30 secs.
Just chalk it up to bad luck and remember their names, so when they come back, you can do as you please, drag them all over for 2 hours then turn and kill them in 1 min or any other inventive way to enjoy the content that bhs provide ![]()
Ivoiv, getting killed one jedi at a time ![]()

step 1: I don't even have 1 macro running! There was no lag in the fight until I warped away which was due to my LD, so lag, macros ormy comp spec are a none existent factor in the example I gave.step 2: As stated above lag was not a factor in the example i gave but as i've been playing swg since day 1 of euro launch I have come to terms with lag, or i am dealing with it as you say.
then dont /quit while bein hawked down by a BH. i think it even says in the game manual, when you /quit you exit the game immediately, but still remain in the world for a short amount of time and can be attacked

Every structure has a "load in point" if you didn't /logout correctly. So for example if you LD'd in a house due to an internet hiccup, when you come back in you will rpolly be in a side room or bedroom, but what you prolly didn't realize is if it happened again you would once again be loaded in there.... so now you know and knowing is half the battle..... GI JOE~!

cause you can warp outside
and was your house private?
When a Jedi is AFK and killable, Kill him!
Next time, they wont go AFK. A good lesson to learn.
When you not kill them while AFK, then its gonna be a social acceptation, and in that line, people will abuse that social acceptation.
"Ohhh a BH! What shall i do? Cloack or AFK? Ah well better get AFK, because everone wont kill an AFK'er..."

It's not griefing because there's no way to pick out a LD or AFK Jedi specifically off the terminals. If you were grinding on bols and found a lair that wasn't fighting back, would you hold off until they started attacking? It's the same thing.

No not really, item decay, PvP rating and most importantly jedi XP. All of which are important.
And as such that makes you not so much a noob, but ignorant to compare the two. Have a nice day
