Thread: Solution to House Hiding: Discuss

I have been sitting here and ive pulled 4 or 5 jedi missions. and ive asked round my guild about this. As you all know, House-Hiding seems to be a jedis only way to avoid being hunted. I have been thinking what can be done to solve this problem.
One idea i tossed round in my head was to generate a TEF on the jedi once the Bounty Hunter uses the "identify target" command on his seeker. The TEF would effectively remove the jedi from whatever house they are hiding in and force them to be apart of the PvP part of their template. If the bounty hunter doesnt attack within a certain period of time, the tef drops and the BH must send out the Identifying Seeker again. This WOULD lead to the issue of BH's just using the Identify Target option on 4 out of 5 droids they send out. To solve that the "Identify" option would now have a chance of success in identifying the target" if you fail then youd have to wait 5 minutes before sending out another identify droid. As far as the "track target" command, this would work the same, the ONLY way to draw a Jedi out of a house would be using the identify target option.
I know theres plenty of you who want to flame this idea...but its what ive been thinking about and if anyone thinks thered be a better way to go about it, post it here...i think with enough ideas posted we could get this looked at
Probably one of the stupidest and least thought out posts I have seen in a long while..including the Jedi forum.
In short: No.
Jedi should have an escape. There are also several jedi, mine included, that like to craft sabers, decorate thier houses, and go to the little girls room. I don't want to get yanked out of my house because Pepsi.

I could not think of a better phrase to some up what this post deserves: Cry more n00b.
It's bounty hunting. not bounty-gift-wrapped-on-a-silver-platter.
Don't punish other players because you suck at what you do.
If a jedi gets away, you lost, good night.
1. To much potential for greifing... bh simply sends out ident droids and never attacks.... I don't want a timer on seeker droids either.... I have enough problems getting them to return targets name anyway...
2. I don't want the stupid jebi to have any forwarning at alll that hell is about to decend on them. (even if Iose, my fights average over 30 minutes, one running gun battle lasted over 6 hours hehe)

If the Jedi is already in the safety of a private house, then it's game over, either wait it out and catch the Jedi off-guard, or get a new mission, but there should be NO alternative to get the Jedi out of a private structure.
Hmmm. Possibly the mission won't generate if they are in a house? While this sounds like a good idea, I can only imagine the bugs and possible exploits that this would cause. Is this really such a big issue? Yeah, it sucks when you pull a few in a row, but jeez, remember when there weren't many jedi on the terms in the first place? Really, how much time does this waste? 10 minutes? I'm afraid of what thissolution will be.
I would rather they fix the tef issue with bases first, but that's just me.
Oh, and Jedi have every right to sit in their house if they want to. We shouldn't be able to force them out. That is just silly.

You're lazy
DanielDirem wrote:Why do Jedi post on these forums? Not a bad idea but it would have bad mechanics, you would have BHs abusing it and Jedi crying. The simple fact is if a Jedi doesnt want to fight they dont have to, they can stay in their house and hide... even though the Devs have done everything in their power to make the Jedi comfortable and easy to play.We get screwed that just what being a BH is about.Of course, have you tried stalking your victim instead of running straight at them?
Hang on, Jedi are easy and comfortable to play? What the hell have I been playing then???

Yeah that would be FORCED PVP or as I would call it Griefing! There is no rule say a Jedi has to fight you!

I can't see the Devs ever implementing something like this.
However, I am working on an alternate fix. Will post here as soon as I get the go-ahead from the Corr forums
So as the new BH corro you want to make sure the BH dont have to work at all to get a kill? Make sure all Jedi are griefed more? Come on man nothing says I got to come out and play with you and I should have a safe place to go afk so I can pee.

try /cloak
Don't get on the terms and don't worry about it. When BH are equal to Jedi than you can complain. Until than /cloak and pee. We're not "greifing" jedi this is part of the game ROFL, if you didn't want to be hunted than delete your jedi or stay off the terms.

You don't like us house-sitting, delete your BH or take an NPC mark...

If you are making a proposal why would you need Dev approval to post about it here first?
lol cause he is a noob corr. lmao

Dude get a CLUE! 1) the dont get on the term comeback is lame, I didnt get on term until full temp.2) BH are getting close to being same as Jedi with the lack of pearls and bugs or duels wouldnt last 45 mins. 3) I shouldnt have to have cloak to go pee. 4) You cant take part in any part of this game but pikets etc unless your on the terms (which I am okay with). 5) Every other proffesion in this game can go afk and not have to worry about forced PVP, I dont think it out of line I can go to my house for a break and if you cant catch me before I get to my house thats your fault!6) if you cant take the time to be a good bh delete your BH
