Bounty Hunter Ethics: Work for whoever pays most, kill the mark regardless of faction, sex, guild. If only there was a true Bounty Hunter.

There is. It's me. I hunt and kill for the most money that I know I'll win. Just dropped a 225k mark about an hour ago too.

I think that we get to the point where we some of our rl personalities come through in our characters. like this... of course it's a bh's job to track and kill their prey. there are some who have honor and will duel you. there are other who will shoot you in the back (part of the game) then there are those who either pick on you or zone in on certain people. Or even worse, those who pick on people they know they can beat. Of course, it's up to your style of play. But if you even bother to ask the question if there are any ethics, then you are obviously one person who has some morals irl. Some other people go to work, get told to stock shelves all day long. get dissed by their wives. then come online to take it out on paddies. all within the rules mind you. so do as you please. but you will get so much more satidfaction by properly guaging your skills and going after marks that will give you a challenge. most likely, your not going to get a full temp done. but go after those who will give you a decent fight. after every kill, I congratulate whomever on a decent fight and most likely, that person becomes a friend in game.

Your post shows that you have no class, no matter what you might think. The line I highlighted was completely uncalled for, and only helps to show everyone else what a self conceited jerk you are.

You say the only honorable BH is one who will duel you. That's because it's in your favor as a Jedi. When you are fully prepared, you have the odds in your favor. That's why we are able to sneak up on you to attack, because in a straight up duel, we are at a big disadvantage. A BH who uses tactics to his advantage is no more a griefer than a Jedi who uses tactics to his favor...so long as the tactics are within the rules.

I was surprised when I read "..self conceited jerk". I think you took what i said out of context. What I was saying was that there are people who play the game. Meaning that there are those who come to do their job as a bh and there are those who work with the tells and the emails and such. I got an email once saying "which faction are you?". When I answered and asked why he said "because Im going to kill you". Those are the guys who fall into the "stocking shelves category". Not that there is anything wrong with stocking shelves mind you. Just that they are disappointed about so many things irl, that the only way they know how to release steam is to try to belittle others anonymously in-game. The guy didn't even show up.

And I did not say that the ONLY honorable ones are those who come to duel you. I said that the ones who do show the utmost in honor in their gameplay.ABOVE AND BEYOND is what I meant. OF course its about the surprise. And I don't think that makes any bh any less honorable if they surprise attack. The only ones I am addressing with my statements are those who do things outside of tracking and killing their prey.

As far as the name calling. Ill let it rest at that and I wont reply because that would be more momentum in a vicious circle. If by chance, I made light of any feelings that you take personal, I do apologize for my inconsideration. I will admit that I did generalize. And for that I was a self-conceited jerk and showed no class.

The only reason for aJedi tosay it's bad RP to kill same faction, is because they are bad at RP themselves. Most possible actions can be explained by RP. Some take a stretch. Some are darn good explainations. But the non-RPer or bad RP-er - heck even the good RP-er who happens to want things to go their way -will cut you down any way they can to gain their own advantage.

One distinct advantage to cutting same-faction from hunting you, is you only have to watch for blue or red dots on the radar. If it's purple, they want to just be able to ignore it, but that is where hunters are using their best ability - suprise. So remember when they chew you out, it's only because they want to take away your chance at disguise and suprise, not because they think it's bad RP (maybe some do, but if your RP story is good enough it should cover it and they're just being ignorant.)

I'm neutral BTW so I can hunt whoever the heck I want with less hate tells.

I took your generalization about BH who attack padawans to be rude and uncalled for, regardless of my own situation IRL. However, I appreciate your apology, and just am posting to say I still didn't think what you said was alright, but that's fine.

I could be wrong, but I see bh and Jedi as samurai. Great warriors facing off aganist each other both having respect for their foe. Sadly because of the crying babies on both sides it rarely happens that way. For those that live and play their character with their own code of honor and ethics /salute

If they're on the terms, kill them. If they get themselves on there again, kill them some more. The so-called Jedi have pissed me off for the last time. They can't even carry on a civilized conversation without resorting to name calling.

Will he hunt same faction? - This is just wrong. If you are a bounty hunter, you hunt for bounty, but if you join any faction, that should always supersede. By joining a faction, you are saying your beliefs in that faction lie above your belief in the almighty credit.

Every jedi is an enemy of the empire. I'll roleplay it that way, thank you very much.

I'll amend my previous statement, as I feel you're right in one instance. If you're Imperial, it's roleplaying, no question. If you're Rebel, it is unethical to hunt light Jedi.

That sounds real pretty and all, but who cares? I just stomped on a 34k Jedi. Do you really think I care about respect?

You lose respect for most jedi when you win that first even fight, and then some knight comes up to you with insults and duel challenges.

After that they all look like paychecks to me.
