Ok heres the problem the bounty hunters were picking off low level defense less jedi and not hunting the full temp so now to make it easier for the low lvl paddies and funner for the full templates you get a random template. I havent got to play on the new pub but il get to play on friday. I have a bh and a jedi. I am a low lvl paddy and i welcome any bh that comes at me but this will also stop from constant bh showing up everytime i get on the terms and it will make it funner and more challenging for my bh and i look forward to playing.

P.S.

all jedi should grind away from wookie planet accept the fact that you are a jedi and get vis and are hunted its the order of life.

Well as we all know, we are constantly hunting full template jedi since the patch. Ninet-five percent of the Jedi I have actually been able to find (due to bugs) have been full temp. Bounty Hunter must now be exclusively Full Temp Jedi killers in a general sense.
I do not want to hunt full template jedi for these reasons:
1) My PERSONAL MISSION and goal as a Bounty Hunter is to slow the grinding process for padawans and simulataneously slow the jedi population of full templates. Once they are to full temp Jedi, I could care less about them. They have done their time and overcome the challenge of getting to full temp. I respect that.
2) There is no XP LOSS that the full template Jedi truly cares about, mainly because they have already completed their temp and do not grind. Therefore, who cares! No biggie if the Jedi loses, which takes the intensity out of the fight.
3) When I hunted previous to the patch, I would hunt 100K Jedi to 224K Jedi. This kept great VARIETY in my hunts and was very challenging at times. Now when I hunt, I expect to have one type of fight. A fight with a full temp Jedi (likely Master Saber/Master Defense) that lasts forever and makes me expend great quantities of high priced food/drink/drugs. Dont get me wrong. I like a challenge, but the same exact challenge each time I take a mission that typically ends up in stalemate for some of the best BHers? Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. LOL God help a Bounty Hunter who isn't elite now because there is no reason for them to stay around.
*****Before the 80 jedi that post on this thread starting crying and screaming "You don't want to hunt full template becuase you suck as a Bounty Hunter and are weak!" I would like to say this is not the reason. I can in fact take full template jedi and I have. I have just simply lost general purpose as a Bounty Hunter and I'm not for sure if I can find a purpose for myself in this new system; I hope so, because BH is the only thing that attracts me to this game currently. Bounty Hunting currently feels like grinding and this is not a good thing

If you were in this only to cause XP loss to paddies / shrink the Jedi population/ grief particular jedi, then your reason for being here has been deliberately removed by the Developers. Now is a good time to use that respec token.

Love all these self important BH claiming to be saving the game by slowing or reducing the jedi population.

Your doing a bad job. Fact is BH never has never and will never have an impact on jedi population.

Dev's have consistantly made it easier to become a jedi not harder.

Fact is jedi in SWG really aren't jedi just a flashy melee profession with some cool skills thrown in.

Now That jedi are common and they are 1:1 to a non-jedi in power the myth of the undefeatable finished padawan should fall.

The good pvp bh will stay in and find that it's a 50:50 chance of beating a finished paddy.

The bad pvp will either quit(hopefully) or stay on and whine about how over powered jedi are, finished jedi are no tougher then a finished non-jedi temp all it comes down to your skills vs their skills and your skill vs their skill.

When or if the FRS comes back then some jedi(only 288 could be in it at one time) then some jedi will be more then 1:1. Hopefully the devs are developing a system that allow BH to group and target these ranked jedi.

hmmmmmmmmmm. Jedi's r being bh'ed because someone wants the jedi dead and labels a set price for his/her head. Don't you think the person paying a certain amount of money for the jedi to die would KNOW HIS/HER FREAKIN NAME AND LEVEL!!!!! This was thought through ah?!?

no...I ask what the mission is most of the time when a bh comes for me, while theyre laying incapped, if they dont answer or if theyattack or heal right when they get up i take em down again....over and over and over and over and over again it comes back that some jerk just wants proof that jedi exist, and wants a corpse to proove it.

ok:

"whaa whaa I can't cause pain and suffering to real people, by making them lose real time or just harassing them...that makes me sad Whaa whaaaa whaa"

I'll put my saber down and log in my BH and run some missions in a bit...but there is the initial result of this thought experiment

Pain? Suffering? What kind of disgusting made-up fantasy is that? If that's the way some people feel about this they need mental help in a bad way.

No one is "losing" anything here other than time. Even then that's a choice WE make as individual players, not the choice of someone else. If you lost the XP to a BH, it's your CHOICE to SPEND the time required to grind it back. YOU are responsible with how you spend your time. Blaming wasted time on someone else (especially in a video game) is absolutely ridiculous.

Now the harassing thing (by harassing I mean taking a low level jedi's mission over and over) I can understand. However the simple fix would have been to not allow a BH to choose the same Jedi's mission for another 3 days or so after the first one, regardless of success or failure.

Ummm compromises usually involve a little give-and-take from both sides - Not giving one side more, and more, and more. Sure, the mission terminals got a few enhancements that are nice for hunters, but in comparison, it was hardly a compromise.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Post CU changes that show give and take.

BH Takes - Reduced skill points required for MBH, Increased BH defenses, Increased BH speed/accuracy mods, Reduced Jedi from 5:1 strength to 1.5:1 strength, Faction status on terminals, Player online status, TEF fixes re: player structures.

BH Gives - Player bounties moved to MBH, Jedi skill points removed from terminals, Bounty name given at seeker instead of at terminal, BH vs Jedi changed from 5 v 1 to 3 v 1.

Up until Patch 20 BH were doing all of the taking and Jedi were doing all of the giving. It was only a matter of time till the Devs came looking for payment.

I love how BH's feel they have a right to selectively target weak padawans just because they face no risk

Everytime a BH takes a full template jedi's mission it is (oh god! I don't have a guarenteed victory, not fair!) I'm so sick of this childish complaint. Get over it! we are Jedi. You are made to kill us. Just because we reach full template, we're not off the hook.

If you can't handle it, leave BH. You knoew what you were getting into when you first entered the profession. Fortunatly the Devs have recognized you were neglecting the full templates, made adjustments accordingly and single handedly destroyed the ability to selectively target individuals to halt advancement. Well Done. Awesome the game is now being balanced to eliminate grade school griefers. Woot Woot.

I like my version better.

I like his version better too. I can't wait til all these muggles start down the Jedi path, And you all know you will at some point on some toon. Because eventually you will reach a point in the game where there just isnt anything else left to do. And won't you be grateful that YOU don't have to grind under the 'old' system where all those jedi you harrassed and griefed created BH just to show you what it was like? Won't you be thankful that all the enemies you've made from being a D!ck can't show you the same love?

If jedi were as ubAr as you all like to testify, it would not take a fraction of the time to dispatch you as it does in reality. Jedi carry the weakest weapons in the game. No more 'saber damage'. They can't compete with the range or firepower you are likely to bring unless they can find a way to take away your ranged advantge. So get off the soapbox on how powerful they are. I promise your HAM will regenerate a hundred times faster than Our Force bar.

Your all just crying because you cant target easy kills. You have no effect on the Jedi population at all. You are an inconvenience. a BIG one for sure. But nothing you do is going to make a JEdi decide to give up the saber. You and all your friends want to be Jedi. You just have Saber envy, i understand. You THINK you are playing a role in the jedi population but all your really doing is showing what a school yard punk you really are. You have a bully mentality and your just angry that the teacher is making you play fair. I understand. I DO. Because i was once one of you. Under the old system, you COULD grind solo. ANd, NO you would NOT sit on a mountain and grin. Because you want Interaction, you want companionship and you want to get yourself to a point where you CAN get back into the game. You will go Jedi, most likely, on your Primary toon. Your favorite toon. The toon everyone knows you by. And you will not want to have you main guy out in the middle of nowhere making 18k an hour in XP. You will want to PLAY THE GAME. And thus you will choose the most effecient way to get your FAVORITE toon combat ready so you can get back to your friends.

Face it, your BH because your Bullies. It's not PvP you crave. You can get that anywhere. Even against Jedi. You liked being able to pick on someone who can't fight back. Because thats what bullies do. So all of your arguments about population control and 'boy golly, those dang Jedi shouldn't even be here' go out the window. SOE threw the timeline away 2 yrs ago. Denial only goes so far. So at least be honest with yourself.

I had the most satisfying kill today, a jedi was about to go to his trainer and grab his final box and i engaged combat right before and in 10 seconds i cause 5k dmg, mu ha ha ha.Guy

used every single exploit in the game to stop me from getting ym money LOS, /afk, but he forgot his tag for a few minutes so i could track him and bam loss of xp right before.

1. Fixed!

2. You are the reason why they changed to this system.

You got the balls to hunt Jedi... and then complain that you're getting full templates who are spanking you silly? Give me a frickin break. Why not just wear a bit red "P" on your head for... well I'll let your imagination figure out what part of the female anatomy the "P" is for.

When you click "accept" you've just commited yourself to an employer to remove a threat. That's the way I look at it everytime I pick up a mission. And as a Bounty Hunter you better try your damndest to get that mission accomplished. If it's too tough for you... get out of the profession. You're making the rest of the real BH's look bad.
