Thread: Why cant I kill a jedi??
I completely agree with the above poster, except for this phrase. I personally do not use spice because you don't want to be fighting the jedi when the downer hits (which isnt as bad as it used to be, but still can hurt). There are some really good combo's of food out there. Try some of the combo's listed in this thread. One food I like to bring up is K18 rations. It not only allows instant burst run, but also cuts down the timer by some 30% or more.

All of you who say stuff about gear not being important and concentrate on practice and skill are feeding him total bullsh1t. U guys are talking nuts. If you are fighting padawans sure my grinding composite armor can do the job perfectly. Don't feed him the wrong info. Get to the point. If u guys are talkin bout strategy and practice as the point, you should be playing Quake or HALO instead.
Since the CU, gear IS the priority. Period! Go wear your 5000k energy resist and face a M LS and come back tell me how you do. 6k aint nothin either. Why are people spending over a million on a CA or AA that boost a few points of accuracy? Cos it matters! A dam noob jedi who knows how to press saber armor break and power strike can whoop you Boba-Fett wannabes. When it comes to AAs and CAs gear, even the simplest Terrain Negotiation bonus matters.
With the gear, it will supplement your skill and help you practice better. Period!
Aitass dude, get 7k - 8k energy resist armor. Sad, but you gotta part with the RIS or make a new better one. Drop in a PSG. Get fat with the right foods. Get high on some pixie etc. Just like Yoda said: "U must unlearn what u have learned." Well, of course that applies to Jedi, but the concept is the same.
Make yodaddy Fett proud!

Not knowing what tactics you are using I would say add aircake, parwan, ruby bliel, and citrus snowcake to your food list and try again.
And make sure you have duelist stance macro'd.

As a Jedi and a Jedi Hunting MBH Alt, here are the 3 P's to hunt Jedi:
1) Purchasing- Get ready to spend ten's of millions. Equipment isn't an "I win button", but it makes a big difference. You need better Armor. I have RIS too, but I don't wear it to hunt.
2) Patience- Take your time. Review Combat Logs of Jedi. Stalk.
IMO you will never win if you engage the Jedi like in a duel...
Try to get them while they pvp, duel, or grind..I pretty much believe that's the key.
I have had 2 BHs on me today at the same time, they thought engaging me both at once in the middle of nowhere would help, all I had to do was stasis the strongest one, saberthrow+armorbreak+powerattack+headhit the other one, then it all was a walk in the park.
You're a BH, use your mind to get us, uber armor and weapons aren't always the best way to go.

Actually, the concept has alot of value. If you can sustain a fight against a jedi 1v1 in a setting where the jedi is ready, and not die, then you will win nearly every fight against a jedi who is less prepared. Of course, there are always exceptions. But fight different templates, and styles. Everyone plays differently, and even with the same template it is not the same.

My point is, that it has become very difficult to almost impossible for a MBH++ template to kill a fully templated readyJedi in 1 vs 1 if he knows what he is doing.

The game isn't all about gear...you need to sit down and practice with your skills against a few jedi. When I say a few...I mean like 50 duels to the death. You need to work on it...learn your profession. It's not easy, and it takes PLAYER skill to fight successfully.
Agree with the above statement but he has the wrong armor, need energy based recon armor to be most effective, LS is energy and melee, dump the shield, get good recon and slice it for armor break reduction.

I killed quite a few jedi are carbineer but rifleman gave me the extra distance i needed i think. i've been very happy with it so far.
I have a Master Carbs/MBH on one server and a Master Rifleman/MBH on another server. I think both professions have their pros and cons. The thing I love about rifleman is I can /cover (cool skill) and sneak up on em without them ever knowing and position myself for first strike. With my carbineer I have no choice but to wait out of rangeor attempt to look inconspicuous if I am getting near them.
/Startleshot for rifleman is an advantage as well. A 6 second stun which Jedi cannot heal or take action less theyrecieve damage again. Sometimes in the heat of battle a well placed /startleshot can throw their timing off on a heal which may be the break you need to get that one final incap shot off...
Recon > Battle ....
Currently on my server I'm a MBH/MRifles/CM4000 (doh - who is'nt?)
Weap. of choice a Adv. Laser rifle 564-1180dmg (sac 60 - with a SAC reduction pup)/12% speed sliced
Armor - Ubese Recon vs Energy 8080 (Full sliced for Armor Breaks)
Foods Used: Kanal Waffers (+ Health/+ H. Regen) / Blob Candy (+ Action regen) / Spiced Tea (+ M Regen)
Usually take these foods after I get the msg fro the Arakyd Droid on Mark planet location.
also take melee Defence food and ruby biel just before I hit my target.Have booster blue and mandolorian wine on standby.also have duelist stance on macro after u hit the initial snipershot. Helps somewhat.
Anyways I took a total of maybe 30 Jedi Mission and have been able to kill like 9 so far.
The other times .. I was either too careless or was just plain overpowered by the Jedi.
Opening shot now is normally /prone then /snipershot
then its Startle/KD/Critical ..... body / Headshot .... back to startle/KD/Critical ....etc .... tried to kneecap shot but it does not really work .... and also remember to pray for the best ![]()
