Thread: And the REASON that Jedi are back on Kashyyyk......

Why is it that the opponents of this thread cannot understand my secondary point about recursive macros?

LEAVE the recursive macros in the game!!!!! Change the AFK system to not use macros as a singal that someone is at the keyboard. Make a physical keystroke or mouse movement required to NOT log a player out. Problem solved.

Dancers, doctors, PvPers, PvEers ALL still get to keep their macros, because they will physically TOUCH the keyboard and mouse in the process!!!

Yes, I have a big problem with AFk dancers and doctors and grinders, regardless of them being a Jedi or not. This is about the Jedi, this is about ALL AFK players.

Is it a policy violation to go AFK and progress my character through in-game macros?

No. So long as no other in-game system is being abused or exploited, in-game macros are entirely supported. An in-game macro that violates our other terms and policies is still considered illegal.

The reason they are back on the trail is because the wookies health got lowered back down to where it was before. They are afk grinding like they did before the devs upped the health of the wookies.

Apparently, the new published changed the dungeon cloning coding. Now when a player dies in the Rryatt Trail, they can clone at the location where they died.
The obvious implication is that even if we DO track down the Jedi in the trail and kill them, they will clone right where they died and make up the force xp debt in about an hour or two.
It's not terribly difficult to create the cloning macro, and then jam something into your ENTER key to make it stick, so it will auto clone you when the box appears....
So I suppose this is now a 100% AFK and quick path from newly minted padawan to full template.

and this affects you how? So what if players choose to level at a static spawn afk? Its not Just Jedi that AFK grind...Ever ground survey xp, I have mastered artisan on many characters and never did survey atk...just too long and boring. You are not the Jedi police, xp loss is in place so a Jedi and his BH friend(alt) could not exploit to make millions of credits, or equally popular back in the day level investigation in a few hours(this doesnt work anymore because you need MBH for jedi missions).

So mind your own business...If your mark is on Kash you got an easy kill, take your money and go on your way...not need to worry about how other players are leveling their characters. Or in otherwords, I will not tell you how to play and expext the same in return.

I dont care if they grind afk BUT since they are doing this they need to shut up about deserving anything extra because ofthis grind.

Afk jedi grinding makes me sick....and im a jedi. if u kill them afk its their problem, not yours. I agree. i cant stand it. I did my grind AT the keboard, so i wouldnt get a visit being afk in the first place.

yes afk grinding will cause severe population growth, population growth and ease of accomplishing Jedi should and does equal nerf.

The only people who don't have a problem with this is the padawan scrubbas who utilize it. If you toolsheds remembered the geonosian cave merc room, the 0,0 spawn on endor, or the warren, you will find that this is an identical principal save the fact that the queers aren't breaking the spawns.

The devs fixed all those places, and they already fixed the ryatt trail wookies once, they just need to do it again. I pity all of you that can't understand that you are in fact exploiting a flawed game mechanic, or understand that you are complete tool for doing it. Show me an afk grind group on the trail that isn't composed 90% of jedi.

Moron, I was not complaining about survey xp, I was offering an example of another proffession afk grinding. I have seen BH's afk grinding there as well, right along side of the Jedi that they are supposed to hate, you will also see doctors/medics in training.
The point is tons of people are going to take advantage of the opportunity to afk grind knowing that they will continue to get xp even if they die. Report the bug and move on. My point is that the game and the world would be a much better place if everyone didnt pay so much attention to what the other guy was doing and just worried about themselves.

And yet, here you are... worrying about what someone else is doing. Hyprocratic, wouldn't you say?

LMAO, QFE !!!

Does it make me Hyprocratic? Since that isn't a word I would say definetly not. If you meant to ask me if it makes me a hypocrite, the answer would still be no.

The definition of a hypocrite is someone who does not believe in what he is saying. If I was being a hypocrite, after I told you to not worry about what others were doing in the game, I would have posted something along the lines of "stop BH's hunting of AFK Jedi". Telling someone to mind there own business is not the same as telling them how to play the game.

I think everyone should look up this definition:

argumentum ad hominem

The point of the original post is "why they are back on Kashyyyyyyyyk"

Not "ShouldJedibe AFK hunting?"

You haven't contributed one worthwhilepoint to the original post, diepa - you're hijacking and trolling. Plus, calling someone a moron is bad form.

Now, that said, back to the original post. Is this the only instance where you spawn back to the same place you died? Is this happening on other planets / dungeons? If so, I'm guessing oversight on one software development shop. IF it's just on Wookie-town, then I'm curious why they have changed directions on enabling AFK grind.

AFK grinding is lame and should not be allowed. For anyone. For those who whine about the endless grind, well, live with it or not. I´d rather you not, so the damn whining could lessen somewhat. That was also meant for all classes and not just jedi. Just for the record.

From what I can tell, it's only the Rryatt Trail, though I have not had the personal experience of dying anywhere else. While I was Katarn Hunting, my entire group was killed, and ALL respawned on the spots where we died. Some multiple times. On subsequent trips to the Trail, I died intentionally to test the theory, and it seems that a player will respawn on every level of the Trail at the location they died.

I have not checkd the Myyydril Caves, Hunting Groups, or main areas of Kashyyyyk yet.

I apologize.... I was thinking of hypocritical. And yes, you are. The definition of hypocrite as defined by Merriam Webster Online is:

Pronunciation: 'hi-p&-"krit
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English ypocrite, from Old French, from Late Latin hypocrita, from Greek hypokritEs actor, hypocrite, from hypokrinesthai
: a person who puts on a false appearance of virtue or religion
- hypocrite adjective

That being said... You can here and told me to mind my own business. Yet you are not following your own advice. Hence the hypocrite comment. As another poster mentioned, you have done nothing to further this conversation, just trolling and attempting to the inflame the situation, though rather poorly.
