I'll be sure to tell that to the next jedi i see that uses /tar on a covered rifleman.

I honestly don't know the state of Cover. Are you also supposed to be untargetable? If so, the Jedi is exploiting by doing AOEs at something else in range or targeting them, and you should report them just as I would a bounty hunter that used the /target bug against me.

I don't generalize about your profession. Please don't generalize about mine.

NOthing 'breaks' cloak, not even if you AE or bombdoird (both of which do dmg). Be ready for cloak to be a part of about every jedi template IMO, it awards instant safety w/zero drawbacks. I got reported for killing someone cloaked using AE, the jedi then decided to do it to someone else (using BH alt) and got a serious a$$ chewing by a csr, and a real stern warning.

What we need to push for is having a state, ie, like blind, to prevent them from cloaking, cause as it stands now all they have to do it hit that specail and they are good to go.

0 draw backs? every person that stands near u drains ur force some more. it's not like BH's can get it to. a guy in my guild is going MBH, 4000 healer, 0404 Enhancer, 0400 cloak

Actually, using an AOE attack or weapon at mobs in the area in the hope of getting a hit on the jedi should not be considered an "exploit". You aren't invulnerable, and if you were dumb enough to cloak and not get out of the area as fast as possible, then you deserve the hit's you are taking.

Bear 2 things in mind, First this method of trying to land hits on an invisble target is very dangerous, especially somewhere like Dath where the mobs you are agro'ing are probably more dangerous than you.

Second, if the dev's intended cloak to make you invulnerable, you would have been. But since you aren't, they must have allowed for the possiblity of someone doing this.

I do agree that using /target {name} is an exploit, but random fire in the hopes of hitting is not.

Yes, we absolutyly need something that can break or prevent Force Cloak. FC has a very long duration, a jedi can stay invisible for about 10 mins in combat andhe can break the cloak and attack the BH whenever he wants. After that he can forcerun out to over 32m and go invisible again, only to attack the BH again when he has regained force. Yes, they can also meditate while cloaked.

So, when they have a poison or fire or anything else ticking damage they shouldnt be able to cloack up.

Hmmm, I feel like I need to put some facts into this Thread and my opinion.

Facts

  • You need a "clean" area around you (radius 20m) to +Cloak+

  • Cloak can fail. I dont know if it is a bug but sometimes you +Cloak+ and a second later you -Cloak-

  • Mobs agro/chase but dont attack you when cloaked. They still drain your force tho.

  • You can /tar the Jedi (already said so I dont give away anything)

  • You can use AOE on other Mobs/a friend to damage the Jedi

  • A CM can apply de-buffs/dots on the Jedi (already said here so I dont give away anything)

  • You will stay cloaked untill you run out of force or attack

  • You cannot Meditate while cloaked but you can cloak while meditating (useless in a fight because you cant /sit when in combat in order to meditate. So you would need to be out of combat and in a "clean" area... If you manage that you should be free to do so)

  • You cannot mount or use a ticket-terminal/Ticket-collector while cloaked (however: some say you can launch if you have JTL, I dont have it so... I dunno)

  • You can heal, channel, buff (like aura, armor,...) while cloaked. You cannot activate Burstrun.

  • Even swoops will drain your force. As do droids.

My Opinion

  • They should fix mobs to not agro/chase you when cloaked

  • They should fix /tar (Seekers should still be able to track you since you can only cloud the mind of living beings) Including the /tar of covered Rifleman. (but you dont need to. If a blue/purple dot pops off the radar just send a friend into that area... No /tar needed. only attention)

  • The AOE... hmmm. Tough one. It should work. But I would call it only un-bug'ed if: /tar would be fixed, a BH couldnt /duel to get a target. If a Jedi stops running and "camps" at a place with mobs it ishis fault.

  • A CM applying de-buffs/dots on a cloaked Jedi should be fixed. (would be fixed if you couldnt /tar him)

  • Using a pet to /follow the Jedi to prevent +cloak+... Hmmm. Since BH vs Jedi is supposed to be without help from outside I dont have a problem with that as long as the droid/pet belongs to the BH (or one of the BH-Team) and I can incap. If a friend not involved uses his pet... well, you cant say that other players (including pets) dont count towards cloak. But this case should be considered an exploit.

  • Since a Jedi cant cloud the mind of Turrets (fixed), droids and swoops, they shouldnt count towards cloak (force-cost and activation). But if you could set your droid on /follow before the Jedi cloaked he should keep following him. That way you could follow your droid instead the seeker-waypoints.

Want to know how to break a cloak? Easy.

1) Duel a friend.

2) AOE near the cloaked jedi.

3) Jedi gets hit.

To keep track of the cloaked jedi.. turn on simple shadows. Keep hiting AOE attacks, the jedi will feel them. Use an aoe attack on creatures or npcs, they work too.

There ya go, why not get the rest of the Bh's to act like an exploiting wh0re such as yourself? Everything you listed = exploiting a known bug. I hoped you get banned for this.

Why did the developers put in a sparkle effect in /cloak, possiblyto keep a general idea where they are located... We should be able to throw a simple AOE attack like a grenade in the general area to pull them out of hiding... much like the wacking of bushes for quail or the releasing of hounds todrive out your prey. This will make the /cloak not be the uber escape or shield, and more of a tactical tool which the jedi would still need to use some skill to use correctly... ie; duck and weave or just run instead of just standing there sending tells and laughing.

If BH using area attacks vs cloak is conciderd as an exploit, and get you banned, would that go for jedi using TEF expolit running into a house in middle of combat too?

Whatever you jedi come up with you say we BHs useas expolit, I know at least two expolits/cheats you jedi are doing...so please don't even mention BH and expolits.

How many people for how long have to stand by the jedi to overcome regen? I'm just curious, I have some knowledge of the skill but not having it in my hands I dunno. But I see jedi run'n around crowded areas and yet to see it break from loss of force - not saying it can't happen.

I was going a MBH/jedi hybrid. But I can't give up my carbs. I'm very seirously considering MBH/Mcarbs/x4xxpowers again, for my play style of stalking, I *think* I might be able to get by w/out healing skills.

Plus I could stand at terms this way and not get harased while looking for marks.

Where was I screaming.......the ability to hit a single special and be PROMISED not to be able to be attacked is not right. It does not fail like feign death can, it cant be interupted, it has no wind up timer. Now im screaming a little.

Oh and paralize, root, kd, snare etc, can be blocked and can miss.....this is a 100% no questions asked way to not be attacked and does not fit into what the 'cu' is about IMO. And remember this is just my opinion. I was not asking for a 'nerf' I was asking for a conterbalance And not like it is easy to land blind, and last Ichecked it could be removed with a push of a button as well. Does not sound all to unfair if you ask me.
