lol yeah, imagine BHs on Test Center... they must have the terminals packed, TC is like a Jedi only server now.

I was more thinking of the live servers...what if a jedi gets visibility? you'll need an army to kill just one jedi and they will surely group wich means id have to bring the whole *bleep* server to kill just one of them....and furthermore id have to drop my BH to be a jedi only to start all over with my BH to become a BH again...sheesh!

hehe if he has defense and healing and enhancement he is a knight and you should get owned. on the bright side he has little offense so get a big group and whoop his ass. the way the skill trees are set up you are either offense or defense, or a support healing char there isnt alot of room to be a mixture of all of them. Expect jedi to be sitting ducks in pvp battles big ones.

I counted and there is enough room to master one saber (why the hell you need all three of em anyway???) master defence totally and master enhancement and have some healing abilities.Take a look at the defence tree..its very good...almost TOO good...im happy for the Jedi but sad for the rest of us

Guess what.

1 BH should get owned by a "skilled" jedi and now it will be the case as it should have been all along.

Skilled meaning that the jedi has progressed far enough up the tree to not be considered a noob jedi iniate anymore.

With the new system if you only take the single saber tree you can only use a 3rd gen saber. You need master saber to use the good ones.

Any of the decent force specials use a lot of force so spamming is just not possible. They will run out of force power as the regen is slow.

If nothing else this patch and the combat patch will bring the use of tactics into the game. One other thing I have noticed on the Test Server is that Line Of Sight (LOS) seems to be fixed. No more shooting though hills or terrain so this will be a big change for most all players.

Hate to tell you this but bh was never intended to be a match for a jedi knight, i don't know why bh's think they were. Bh's were meant to kill the noob padawan grinding in the hills by catching him when he doesn't expect it. But oh well I'm pretty sure jedi shouldn't have been put in this game anyway. Seems that they are being made into an average player that is just really hard to get and has a token name for the prof. Oh yeh we get neat specials, effect wise, and we have big glowing bats. But with the revamp you bh's will still be owned by knights. You will actually have an easier time fighting the lower level jedi as they will probably not have healing. And if they do they will be lacking either offense or defense. So guess what everyone that isn't jedi got their wish that jedi will be like an average prof and have to depend a lot on others. So now I say no more tef's, no more bh missions, no more of the crap that was in place to keep us in check cause we won't need to be kept in line no more, except for continuity. And continuity is gone anyhow, so that matters little. Hell we should just let jedi's be made at character creation, cause not many would do all the stuff to get it no more with all that is being done to turn it into a token prof.

ok rants over

does that mean not as many dabblers?

I don't mind dabblers at all, its one of the beauties of the profession system. What most people don't like is when one branch of their chosen profession is unbalanced with the others in such a way that dabblers always choose the same branch (ie pistoleer techniques), or such that dabblers of that branch are just as good as a master of the profession (ie flamethrower branch of commando).

However, I am excited about what this change to the BH requirements will mean for Rangers. Ihope that this change will mean that Bounty Hunters will stop requesting ranger skills like track and traps that work on npcs/other players, since their "we master scout just like rangers do" argument will no longer hold water. I also hope it means that if a profession is given npc and player traps, that Ranger will be the profession to get it.

Looks like the BH's will be dropping master scout/ranger as fast as they can click on the surrender buttons. I can easly see themgrinding up the unarmed branch and getting the flamethrower line in commando.

Still not sure if this is good for us or bad. Good since they will be dropping the creature harvesting line and giving me less competition, Bad since it gives them more killing power to be able to outharvest me by using a droid/vegash. I can alsohear the cries for them to get tracking included in their basic skillset.

Oh well, it will be fewer stupid questions I have toanswer from the BH's about how to use the basic scout skills thay any non-grinder should know.

My question is, will the devs give BH player tracking. I have hope that the devs will tell BH that if they want to track people, they will still have to get Ranger. I think BH hybrids will be become a fairly nasty-uber mix.

I also think tracking should stay right where it is. But that some kind of "man traps" should be in BH itself, maybe spread throughout the prof. Someone said, oh I'm going to master BH and ranger with those points. Until I pointed out they still need master scout(where the extra BH points come from) to get novice ranger.
