This post just further proves my point. I sometimes find it amazing that players come to this virtual universe filled with people from all over the world, bent on the idea of wreaking hurt and harm on those other players and thinking there is nothing wrong with this behavior, "it is just a game" they say.

The hard reality is that this game is filled with other flesh and blood people playing their characters here, and when you hurt and harm their characters, you are hurting the people behind them, and deep inside you know this or you would not derive so much pleasure from it. If you want to hunt jedi do it honorably. If the jedi doesnt want to fight, find a mark who wants to, as you all are so fond of saying, there are jedi everywhere.

I find it sad that this question actually had to be asked. The answer is what you did was extraordinarily dishonorable and does not speak well of you at all. The fact that your conscience bothered you enough to ask this question shows that you are probably not beyond hope.

Spend your time here honorably and you will find the game alot more enjoyable for you and everyone else here.

having been a jedi for a long long time i can say i completely disagree with you. This seems to be the trend of thought of alot of new jedis that if you dont want to fight the bh should just move on, when you unlock jedi you are agreeing to the fact that you can and will be hunted and its not your choice if you want to fight. You took that choice when you decided to go jedi that you can and will be hunted. If some people didn't want that then they shouldnt be training jedi in the first place.

Nothing unfair about this kill at all - you used your wit to drop the Jedi out of Cloak for the easy kill and you deserve that kill. This Jedi should've never been so dumb as to go AFK in the wild knowing that he was most likely on the terminals.

Personally I'll kill any Jedi I come across be he LD/AFK. As a matter of fact back before the patch came out removing names from the terminals I intentionally killed a Jedi who was running an Infusion/Aura macro while AFK in a major starport. Simply timed my Paralyze at the time the macro was supposed to loop then KD/Critical Shot/Improved Head Shot repeatedly. Was the person upset - you betcha. Do I care? Not in the slightest.

Got a mission at terms today...launch the droid and see hes on dant. i shuttle out and launch a droid....hes 8k from the starport and moving. I shuttle to the nearest city and launch another droid as i get on my swoop. hes still moving...when im about 600 M away he stops moving suddenly. when i get to where the wp is no one there....he cloaked. I sent him a tell asking him to fight and hes afk...eek. I called my swoop and bolle bol and stood there for about a half hour...finally his force dies enough that he uncloaks. I attack and kill him. Less than 5 minutes later the hate tells come...I'd like you alls opinion on this...Is this an unfair kill?

Ah, the classic debate of when you come up on an AFK Jedi BEFORE the fight is initiated. To save yourself a lot of ethical wrangling you should decide ahead of time how you will act in these situations. Personally I believe that the Jedi who chooses to go AFK in public while being on the terms is aware of the risk they are taking and therefore I do not hesitate to complete my mission. Its no different then when I come up on a mark who is dueling and DB when the mark is incapped during the course of the friendly duel.

Are these tactics cheap? Perhaps. But so is the fact that Jedi are more powerful than a MBH .

And not a single person has ever unlocked Jedi to "pwn all teh newbs"?

You speak of unfairness, yet your character is 1.5x stronger than those who hunt you.

Thank you all for making my point for me. Vitriolic hyperbole with hardly a constructive point among you. How typical of this forum. Oh and btw, for those of you calling me a new jedi, I have been a jedi a long time indeed, so do everyone a favor and confirm your facts before you start labeling someone. If you all want to defend afk killing someone be my guest, but as for having any validity to your arguments or any moral authority, pffft. Killing afk players is wrong, plain and simple. It does nothing to further enhance anyones gameplay nor the game itself, it just shows that some people are willing to act like animals and exploit any moment of weakness or vulnerability for maximum benefit. Very low behavior indeed.

You play a PVP Class! Would you go AFK in an unsafe spot while declared?

afk jedi? well here is my opinion. 2 reasons an afk jedi needs killed

1- he is an idiot, hence a mercy killing

2- its a trap, hence you need to deal with it to protec others, maimly yourself

I was with you until this part. It would depend on your point of view. (gawd now im talking like Obi-wan) BH use every trick in the book to kill there mark....true. Some of the tricks are low and totally uncalled for....true. HOWEVER, I perfer to think of the bounty hunters as a private sector of the law enforcement. Bounty Hunters are the special forces of the police on both sides. A jedi comes along and kills a non-jedi PC that was defending thier factional base. The local police and stormtroopers can not handle it so they call in a specialist that is trained to take down the jedi.

We are not scum. We are the SWAT team that is called in to get rid of that fly that other people cant catch.
