I fully accept the replies toall the posts, however, for those Jedi hunters, like myself who are not certified for recon, i'm merely stating that it IS NOT a pre-requisite that you need recon armour to successfully hunt jedi. The guy who said 'my recon is 8100 and is miles better than xxxx' (or something like it) yes, for YOUR template i totally agree.

It's really about balance. A template such as yours with superb heals doesn't really need that extra 3.5% protection. However, a MR/Pist xxx3/Med xx2x might as well use it. Either way I'd certainly wouldn't wear asault. Yeah, BH armor looks cool, but it's expensive and the 4 or 8% difference certainly wouldn't hurt.
If you really want to see a difference with your armor, get it sliced against Break. It costs a bit, but when a Jedi hits your 8000 ubese with it, you might as well be wearing wet paper towels.

So many posts lately focus on armour and how recon is the only one a jedi hunter can use. Do the maths people, the % gained in using a 6k resist assault/battle or a 7.5k+ energy resist suit of armour is negligable.
I have never worn recon armour, my template has never allowed it. I've always worn assault or battle and tho i lose some battles, i win far more than i lose,it certainly isn't down to the armour i'm wearing. Knowing your template, above all else is the deciding factor in jedihunting. A post a little further down asked the poster if he seriously wore BH armour when hunting... why shouldn't he? Ever since i got my BH armour, i've worn it hunting jedi, before that, some 6k resistpadded battle armour. OK, its modded to the hilt withacc/speed tapesand 5 pieces are adk'd but i seriously doubt that the extra % gained by a recon suit would make that much of a difference.
With the correct ca's and aa's a 6k resist suit of armour can do as good a job, if not betteras a 7.5k resist suit. don't be fooled into thinking that only recon wearing BH's are the only uber hunters around

define negligable......
Here's my thoughts.....
Let's say my armor let's me mitigate an extra 10% damage.... that means I need 10% less heals. If I have to heal every 5 rounds in a fight, I can now heal every5.5 rounds. So I get an extra damage turn every 10 rounds.... what does this mean? I get to do 10% more damage and I get to keep 10% more mind.
10% less mind usage means I can fight for an extra +10% (more actually, when you take into account the extra regen time).
10% more damage against the jedi, which means he uses more Force to heal.
If a jedi needs to heal more, he is doing less damage, which let's me heal less again and do more damage.
So.... If a Jedi could normaly last 10 min in a fight against me and I could normaly last 9 min....., now I do 10% more damage and he can only last about 9 min... and I can last 10 min.
The resist from armor is a compounding percentage.... it helps more than you think.
But i do agree with you on one thing.... Having a toon that can wear recon armor does not an uber BH make you.
