Do freindly duels now, pvp if you must but I would not recomend it until you hit master and pick up some of the marksmanship skills from carboneer.

Armor is worthwhile, full med buffs are a must, entertainer buffs when you can get them as well. Use foods and spice as needed.

Armor, I currently use chest, head, boots and gloves. Used to use full set of advanced composite but playing around with it now seing how much or little I can get away with. But yes, armor is very very helpfull.

It is best if they challenge you, you will normally get the first shot off if they do.

I recomend concentrating on your carbine mostly, but all of your tools are usefull in the right situation.

Don't let the nay sayers get you down in this forum, when played right you can defeat most oponents one on one with a master BH, so long as you invest your remaining points into carboneer or pistoleer (debate on which is best, depends on what you prefer really, although I prefer carboneer). I have lost only 1 fight with a TKM in the past 2 weeks, and that was because of my own screw up.

I think BH need to be reclassified in the "non-combat" roll right behind pikemen. At least you have a good shot at a Master Dancer

Ok so I have been a CM for a while, but for the most part have just used my ranged meds to help groups and what not. Now I'm thinking about partaking in some PvP and need some advice on the best type of poison to use, health, action, mind etc. What do you lot think?

Mind poisons and disease for the moment. Since no one can heal mind.. yes I know CM's can heal "other" peoples minds, but not there own.

Try and get some Spider Venom posions and disease.. I have a 900 tick mind poison and a 300 tick disease. The more powerful the better. I good CM can beat a great doctor with the right materials.

And eat some Havla (food) to speed ur throwing time.

VS 1 player who cant heal himself and is not buffed - Any Single poison will do.

VS 1 player who can heal himself and is not buffed - Single mind poison C

VS 1 player who can cure poison and is not buffed - Use some havla to stick a health poison, slip in some mind poison, then spam health poisons

VS 1 player who cant heal himself and is buffed - Stacked Mind poisons followed by Mind disease followed by health and action poisons.

VS 1 player who can heal himself and is buffed - Stacked mind poisons and mind disease. Follow with some health poisons.

VS 1 player who can cure himself and is buffed - Use secondary profession to delay, dizzy, KD etc.the other player then stack mind poisons and disease.

VS multiple players with no healer and not buffed - Stack health poisons. Use your secondary profession to delay, dizzy, KD etc. This will prevent the nerf cries from n00bs that run around with no healers and buffs.

VS multiple players that have a healer but no buffs - Stack health and action poisonsto keep their medics busy while you take off your left boot and beat them with it.

VS multiple players that have a Doc to cure but no buffs - Stack mind poisons, health poisons, and action poisons. Lay on some disease of various types and 3-cap the Doctor to keep him out of the fight.

VS multiple players with no healer but are buffed - stack mind poisons and disease. Add in some health and action poisons. Use your left boot to finish them off.

VS multiple players with a healer and are buffed - stack mind, health and action poisons. Their medic will be kept busy while you beat their minds down with your secondary profession

VS multiple players with a Doctor and are bufffed -Send in one of your group to keep the Doc busy. Once the Doc is occupied start laying on soem mind poisons and disease. Stack some health poisons. Focus and Will disease the Doc if his mind is low. 3-cap his ass to keep him out of the fight.

VS multiple players with multiple Docs - run like a girl if you are solo. If you have a group use delays KDs, dizzies to keep docs occupied so they cant cure.

VS another CM - If you cant cure but he can there is no point in fighting. If you can cure then it's a contest to see who has the best stuff

VS multiple players that have Docs and CMs on their side - omfg strategy. Your team better be a well balanced group with some Docs to cure or you are dead.

i really suck at pvp, i've had some friends give me some useful pointers but if anyone here could give me some too i wuld appreciate it. My template is master rifles, master fencer, master brawler.

I think my main problem is i dont know when to use rifles and when to chase with fencer/brawler....any ideas?

Do not listen to these blokes..

I run a M.fencer/M.rifle/tka4300/N.Pike.. I will duel anybody and war against anything.

Get good armor. Stun protection of at least 40% and 80% on the top.. about a mil u are lookin at.

get a nice rifle, KT if u can, I been loving the Dx6.. have a 12 pt smith craft a KT one for u.. It will cost u about a mil also..

Invest in Imperial PsG's..

Get your brandy at 420 and no less that 44.5 minutes 49 filling

Get canape that is 33 filling and 710 willpower.. take them sparingly

Muon..

HOTKEY ALL OF THIS!

Use tactics.. If he is taking your mind, run indoors and switch to fencer..

If there is no indoors, switch to fencer and CoB in the burst..

Intimidate and Flushingshot1 will hurt the defence of the target.. They BOTH can be used with a rifle in your hand..

Never PREMATURELY TAKE THE MUON, always TAKE THE BRANDIES BEFORE U ENGAGE.. AND ALWAYS HAVE 2 IN

Take the canape apropriatly..

Do NOT be a hero and stand when there are 5+ vs. u, remember to retreat and come back to take the targets in little bites..

If they are close, use the fencer, BLIND, intimi1, dizzy, drop back and stun, then go to town with the rifle.. ods are they will have KD resist..

Break line of sight when they have the bead and u cannot outlast them..

That guy running from the SP upon jumping in COULD BE A HOSTILE.. watch and be carefull..

Use the Hotel, or med center or SP walls to bring him into your ranges..

STOP and fire when u can.

If u have aim, use it on jedi's if they are engaged with another of the team..

blah blah blah.. I am drinkin.. usually do not post this much strategy..

Yea I also do very well as Rifle/Fencer.

My exact template is:

Rifleman

Fencer

4004 Pikeman

1000 Medic

Full stun armor, lots of food on key, a good AA suit(hard to come buy usually), a CoB macro, and more importantly in the sad state of PvP, mind fire/psn.
