I mean really. It is worse than the dang house exploit. It needs a timer on it like a 30 min cooldown. Should use much more force to maintain also.
OK next time I am rooted/KD/and Dazed, and you run out to 80 meters with your snipershot, and cyborg arm Ill just hang out and stand there while you pummle me from a distance I have no hope toclose.
Either that or when you try this ill cloak, run up to you, and takethe fight back to you.
Cloak is the defense against you being able to shoot me frommore than 40 meters from my best attack.
Sounds like you want the easy fight where you can just hang at 80 and root/kd the jedi all day.
go to 80m root/shoot/shoot/shoot get to 80 m again shoot/shoot/shoot/root rince and repeate. You right I should have no defense to this.
That is fine. Do not mind a fight. What i am talking about is these guys that cloak and run. You never see them agian till you find them offline.
It's the decision of the Jedi if they wish to stand and fight you, as it's the hunters choice to have first strike.
Jedi gain nothing by fighting a hunter while the hunter has nothing to lose.
If they spend the SP to get that ability, more power to them.
Learn your own skills and stop complaining about others that have.
as stated above in the post.
It is your ability to decide when the fight starts, it is the Jedis ability to determine if the fight is worth fighting.
Why would someone stay and fight you if they knew they were going to die?
They have everything to loose, and nothing to gain.
You have everything to gain and nothing to loose.
NOw this being said I do not agree with using any kind of exploit to avoid a fight. However this is not an exploit it is using their skills to the best ability. I personally went up powers first as I knew that at the begining I would be very weak and die alot. So I took a skill that allowed me to avoid any fight I didnt feel would be beneficial.
I still use cloak to this day, but coupled with a little trap I use that has drawn in many a BH. bwahaaha. (and no it is nowhere near an exploit) just takes advantage of some of the more greedy BHs that run in gunning instead of slaking me so I don't know they are around.

Cloak should have a nominal force tick, with added force cost depending on aggro, and stuff. That is JMHO.
Cloak does have an initial Force cost and a tick cost that is dependent on the amount of people around the cloaker. The more people the Jedi has to use the cloak mind trick on, the more Force he will lose while staying cloaked. Educate yourself about a skill before talking about it, please.
It is not the same. The current tick is based on the people that the jedi is hidden from. I am saying that the force cost tick should be nominal, not minimal, so that (for testing purposes) even if you not hiding from anyone, you could only cloak for a certain amount of time before force ran out. A good example of how I would like to see this is in MMO's where you go underwater and get the 'oxygen' bar that slowly counts down till you run out of air. THEN, in addition to the tick, you have an additional penalty for each mob you have to avoid (based on /maskscent rules).
This guaranties that cloak is only a means to an end to escape, and that if you miss the window, you will lose cloak and your force bar too.

Cloak is not meant as an escape route. It is meant for guerilla combat and scouting - appear, do some damage, and hope you can root / stasis (which are not Force Powers skills, btw) your enemy to get away far enough to be able to cloak again.
