Bounty Hunter Archive
Thread: A really bad experience.
Sorry this happened to you. I don't tolerate such behavior in my grind groups.
If someone comes by and needs to kill their 25 wooks, we back off, take ten and wait for them to get done. We keep them healed if they getin in over their heads, but otherwise we don't interfere unless asked. I find it's best to leave people in such situations with a smile and a thank you rather then a grudge.
Now, if you show up to kill wooks all night, then you need to find another instance or get on our waiting list for a group slot, but we're not gonna impede people on a quest.
I actually have an /addignore macro to cut the time these people take away from my game from 10 seconds to about 2. Try it, it's liberating to have an actual, working, 'I win' button. lol

I've been playing since day one and almost laughed myself out of my chair when one of the Jedi in the group called me a newb.I retaliated by calling him and ebayer, which I regret as well, considering that he also had been playing from day one and I had hunted with his alt a long time ago. Name calling and general rudeness has no place in a game like this...
Noob = Idiot, stupid player, etc...
Newb = New player

/duel wont work if the BH has your mission.
I've recieved both ends of treatment as a Bh when it comes to jedi. I was in the Ryatt trials once and a bunch of jedi started flaming me with hate tells for having a MBH tag.
I've also been able to ask for help froma jedi without him freaking out and yelling at me. It just goes to show, for each proffiessian there are great people and great jerks.
Kaorset wrote:Yes, I'm a bounty hunter, but this is ridiculous.I'm on the Ryatt trail trying to rescue Rroot. As I get to the Feral Wookie village, there's a group of 8 or so Jedi there (didn't bother to count them).One heals me, which I thanked him for. Then I automatically get a duel request as another one says, "Oh PLEASE tell me you have a mission on me!" I explain to them that I don't, then I go prone to kill ONE wookie I need for the mission. They start yelling at me that this is "their" spawn. I, trying to not be rude, tell them that this isn't a private spawn and that I only need one.After going back to Rroot, I get killed and have to work my way back again. Once again, I am accosted, this time much more aggressively (3 duel requests). I tell them how annoying it is that I can't even run my own mission without getting accosted by Jedi. They tell me again to leave their spawn (which I wasn't attacking anyway). Tempers get pretty high for a moment, but evenutally settle down, and the main voice (who was having a very bad day anyway) apologised. Everyone went on their separate ways none the worse for wear.I'm not upset at the Jedi in that group. I am, however, saddened that the game has gotten this way. I rarely hunt Jedi. I'm a bounty hunter mainly for the combat skills and for RP'ing. It really ticked me off at first that I was hit with such hatred. It's pretty hard to get me angry, but this was about it. Please, let's try to be at least civil to one another out there.Oh, and BTW, why do people always accuse people of being a newb?
