Well I wasn't going to post. But this post caught my eye. 1st off to the BH, I have a Jedi Char and also have hunted jedi as a BH and my alt is a BH. I will not say i speak for anyone but myself.

Here goes.

The /duel /endduel request is just a way for jedi to know if you have a mission on them. Yes i know the complaints on both sides. BH's resent Jedi (in general) and Vice Versa for the Jedi, because they lose a lot of XP just because of a BH jumping them. Please don't take that as an attack on you. Honestly, you sound as though you're a very kool dude who is the unfortunate victim of your predicessors actions and reactions. As far as Jedi are concerned they have no idea if ANY player is a BH, or if that player is alone or setting them up and therefore MOST Jedi are.....a bit nervous. This doesn't help tensions.

I have been hunted and killed by BH's that were honest and didn't act like jerks. I will say however that is VERY rare.

Quite frankly, theres way too many childish egos running amuck on the servers from both Jedi and BH's. Sorry you had to see 3year old minded people in your travels.

Take care...

Well, I do wish to stress that everything ended well. I have no beef with them. Merely that the game has reached this point and seems headed even more so in this direction.

This is the reason i hunt solol!! Wish i could find more mature players then some of the jedi that are out there!! I would never desrepect anyother player especially when you are farming xp and someone else wants a piece!! I always share and was a bh'er for along time before the CU!! Just to let you know there are still alot of cool players out there that have jedi that arent jerks.. I remember going to the squill caves and a pike was farming xp, dont get me wrong i did the same thing when i was swordsman /doc but, when people showed up i moved on or shared !!

I hope i speak for most jedi that play SWG appologies !!

ps: if they pulled that with me on my alt i guarentee you i would have stuck around and called some old friend to meet me there!!

Point is actually from people, not from the proffession.

Been actively in 2 servers for over 1.5 years and the most lamest guys, TEF killers, exploiters are now jedi. This is not about Jedi proffession. They were always lamer before and will be always. Holding lightsaber does not change this fact and Jedi being the end proffession.

The most likely explaination for this is that they saw your Master Bounty Hunter title (perhaps you did not have it up, but it is unlikely they would have noticed you if you didnt). I'm not saying you should take it down and hide the fact that you're a BH but jedi sometimes freak out when they see the Bounty Hunter tag, expecially on Kash. If this is such a big problem perhaps the best solution is to change your title when you enter a planet such as Kash. You shouldnt be expected to have to change your title all the time, but this could be the simpliest way to change this

Yes, I'm a bounty hunter, but this is ridiculous.

I'm on the Ryatt trail trying to rescue Rroot. As I get to the Feral Wookie village, there's a group of 8 or so Jedi there (didn't bother to count them).

One heals me, which I thanked him for. Then I automatically get a duel request as another one says, "Oh PLEASE tell me you have a mission on me!" I explain to them that I don't, then I go prone to kill ONE wookie I need for the mission. They start yelling at me that this is "their" spawn. I, trying to not be rude, tell them that this isn't a private spawn and that I only need one.

After going back to Rroot, I get killed and have to work my way back again. Once again, I am accosted, this time much more aggressively (3 duel requests). I tell them how annoying it is that I can't even run my own mission without getting accosted by Jedi. They tell me again to leave their spawn (which I wasn't attacking anyway). Tempers get pretty high for a moment, but evenutally settle down, and the main voice (who was having a very bad day anyway) apologised. Everyone went on their separate ways none the worse for wear.

I'm not upset at the Jedi in that group. I am, however, saddened that the game has gotten this way. I rarely hunt Jedi. I'm a bounty hunter mainly for the combat skills and for RP'ing. It really ticked me off at first that I was hit with such hatred. It's pretty hard to get me angry, but this was about it. Please, let's try to be at least civil to one another out there.

Oh, and BTW, why do people always accuse people of being a newb? I've been playing since day one and almost laughed myself out of my chair when one of the Jedi in the group called me a newb.I retaliated by calling him and ebayer, which I regret as well, considering that he also had been playing from day one and I had hunted with his alt a long time ago. Name calling and general rudeness has no place in a game like this.

And, if any of the Jedi reading this were in the group I mentioned, I hope your hunt went well and best wishes to you.

A$$hats if you ask me for acting like that. I personally would fight fire with fire.

I wouldn't say a word. As having a BH character myself I would say ooo ooo a static Jedi Spawn and come back with some company.

In case you did not know, /duel = Hey, BH Do you have a mission on me?

I don't think it was anything personal. I can't go anywhere without /duel requests.

So, now I just take names and look up those that do a /duel on terms. .

Unfortunately both BH's and Jedi tend to draw a certain type of player. Not all are like this, but I fear the numbers on both sides is growing. Just try to not let it get to you.

And on the subject of newbs.....

Some of the most enjoyable conversations I've had ig lately have been in Eisley with my Helper tag up talking to the new players. It just saddens me to think that once they start venturing out to other planets this is what they will have to deal with

Trust me, I'm not dumb enough to wear my Master BH title. I'm a Space Ordnance Expert ;-)

Most likely, they /examined me and saw my MBH badge.

Are you really surprised? Jedi/BH Advasarial relationship + your mission in a prime grinding spot + high account turnover + respec BHs/Jedis = poor behavior on both sides.

When I play my main, and I have my MBH title up, I get nasty tells from Jedi. When I am playing my Jedi, and I'm grouped whereever, BH's never fail to make a snide remark. I can honestly say that I don't have the same class vs. class issues when either playing my Jedi in stealth mode or playing my BH in stealth mode.

Is the behavior nice? No it certainly isn't. Is the behavior unexpected given the current interactions between BHs and Jedis? No it certainly isn't.

i guess my servers not as bad as others. pretty low population could be the reason for this though.

anyway, thought i might share this with you jedi to show that not all bh's are bad. i joined a full hunting group on dant last week. every other player in the group except for me was a bh and they were all high cl too. they were laughing their butts of aboutthe fact that they were helping a jedi grind. they were all very cool and i had a great time that night. not once did i feel uneasy when one of them had to leave the group for "training". in fact, not one of those guys has pulled my mission and come for me over this past week.

the funniest part about the whole thing was that it was probably the best group i've ever been in, in regards to the amount of xp i'd earned while group hunting.

now if we could only get the bh's to stop taking missions on low cl, low payout paddies.
