Believe it or not some of us take pride in what we do. Personally I take a defeat harder than any sort of tangible loss. A trip to the cloner is hardly without consequence IMO.

The same consequences are felt by everyone when they go to the cloner.

Cloaking has it's uses, don't get me wrong. I'm somewhat indifferent to it. If used right I think it can be a very viable tactic for a Jedi who knows how to use it. It's not just a getaway skill.

My 1 hunt last night involved a cloaker. She would cloak and run around me, taunt me, etc. I didn't let it bother me. I kept getting told "I used /duel and know you're here for me!!!" whatever. I just sat and watched after she finally left me alone. After a bit I noticed she just kept jumping between 2 cities so I decided to go see what was going on. Sure enough there was some PvP so I decided to go sit in the cloner in the other city. After a bit there she was. I got called a clone camper and the like but the way I see it she just got outsmarted. Let your mark get comfortable in their own skin and a lot of times they'll get overconfident and make the mistake you can capitalize on. Be patient, be ready and be successful. Give someone enough rope and they'll eventually hang themselves.

btw, I fully support this tactic. Since the BH gets to choose when to attack, they are foolish if they don't choose when it is in their advantage.

As for a jedi that knows she is being hunted, then decides to go into PvP...got what she deserved.

I don't think the point of the OP was the bike. Granted, he should not have pulled it out. His point was that the Jedi was able to destroy it without fear of consequence. BHs don't get that luxury, neither does anyone else.

So? Ooooo it's about consequences? /handsTissue What consequences? No one says he has to drop the mission. waaaaaa invis jedi blew up my bike. And?Wait for invis jedi to poke head out and kill him next time.If you think this is griefing then LOL. /carebear stare.

You have no idea what griefing is. This game doesn't allow it.

HAHA, you poke fun at the post, and then say that the game doesnt allow greifing?! Ive never gone a day without reading multiple posts about legitament greifing, and once again, i cant help but love the trolls like you? /carebare stare? is that necessary? can you not state an opinion without trying to inflate your ego into forgetting that your purpose in life is so miniscule? You're the kind of A)kid that has no friends, so plays the bully role to make him/herself feel useful, or b)WAS option a, and grew into an adult feeling the same sense of insecurity so continued playing the role of macho man who needs to throw insults around... grow up and learn to communicate on a higher lvl than age 12.

woooo slow down nelly! I hit a nerve there - you're trying to jump to real life and we just got started. /duck.

I guess it depends on your definition of griefing. I haven't seen one bit in this game. /addignore takes care of about everything.

-You can't camp a city here killing everyone that logs in.

-You can't burn downplayer houses, cantinas, all your buildings.

-You can't stalk someone from place to place repeatedly killing them until their gear breaks or they log (or both).

-Hell, you can't even loot player corpses here.

You think because some jedi you attacked blew up your bike and got the better of you that you were griefed? /carebear stare. Yeah, that is necessary. You weren't griefed, you were made a fool of and then came and whined about it on the boards. For what? Sympathy? Get some sack.

Not whinning, nor asking for sympathy... it was my understanding that I could post my ingame experiences as a warning to other players that these tactics were used... if you dont like it, then dont read it!

Actually if the OP wason his toes -he could have had a rifle equiped when he pulled the bike with target macro going - the second the jedi does the throw - BH does a KD withroot/daze followup. Simple bait tactic. Might not get a win - but should be able to get within 32m and keep the jedi busy for a while.

When you pulled your bike you still had the mission on the Jedi. How is the Jedi supposed to know you are going to leave the area? Pulling a bike while still having the mission could be an indication that you assume the Jedi left the area and therefore are about to climb on your bike and lauch seekers to continue the hunt. At that time, the bike is fair game just as roots and snares are fair game to use on Force runners.

ugh, jedi are becoming worse greifers than bhs are usually..

I just grabbed a mission under the new system, and dont know who the jedi is before i get to him... i see him, figure he's fair game, and attack.. he stays to fight, and when he realizes he cant beat me, he forces run out of range, and *poof*, he cloaks... i run in his direction for a couple seconds, and figure its a lost cause... i call my bike to leave, figure hes not worth my time... and guess who uncloaks to saber throw my bike, and then recloaks... just for the laugh? *sigh*... its people like that, that deserve a good punch in the face.. ever since jedi got the force cloak, its given then an excuse to act like jacka$$es.. meh, just watch out for players like this

Want some cheese with that whine? The only thing that amazes me about a profession that gets the first cheap shot is how fast those who are insaidprfessioncry foul when they themselves get cheap shotted back by those they just cheap shotted.

I never said I really sympathized with the OP. I can see where he's coming from but cloaking doesn't bother me, never has. I think it can be a very powerful tool in the right hands and can make a hunt very interesting and fun. I was simply trying to move the focus of this thread back to the OP's original intent. The only tissue I need is the one I use to wipe my mark's blood, and sometimes my own, off my armor.

There are ways to "keep track" of cloaked Jedi. For example, if you have multiple seekers airborne, you can get updates as fast as every 10 seconds or even faster. With a swarm of seekers airborne (as opposed to just one), you'll have a much easier time.

If your target is particularly stupid, there are other ways to track them, which I will not divulge here because the stupid don't deserve to be given any breaks.

As for bikes, I always have my datapad full (3 vehicles) and keep a spare deed or two in my inventory.

I blow up Jedi bikes. Doesn't everyone? I think that's a given. I expect mine to get tagged as well. *confused*

Now force cloak, sure that's annoying. The trick is to kill them before they have a chance. If you don't get the incap/db right awaybut the fight progresses in your favor, of course they will use the skills available to them. Annoying, sure. Just wait it out and strike with vengeance the next time.

This surely isn't griefing though. You're the one whopulled out your bike. Sorry.
