i agree to an extent cron... but whats the point in preventing an escape... when you dont want a fight... we were out of combat, i called my bike to leave, and he blew my bike and cloaked again... dont see how thats really a tactic

Not all of us cloak, some of us spent our skillpoints to fight instead of skills to hide or flee.

ugh, jedi are becoming worse greifers than bhs are usually..

I just grabbed a mission under the new system, and dont know who the jedi is before i get to him... i see him, figure he's fair game, and attack.. he stays to fight, and when he realizes he cant beat me, he forces run out of range, and *poof*, he cloaks... i run in his direction for a couple seconds, and figure its a lost cause... i call my bike to leave, figure hes not worth my time... and guess who uncloaks to saber throw my bike, and then recloaks... just for the laugh? *sigh*... its people like that, that deserve a good punch in the face.. ever since jedi got the force cloak, its given then an excuse to act like jacka$$es.. meh, just watch out for players like this

aye, sorry this happened to you but i spent 1.5 million credits on a BARC speeder because it was CHEAPER than buying a new swoop bike every time i fought with a bounty hunter. BARCs can still be disabled, but you don't have to buy a new one. you just repair it.

i have NEVER had a bounty hunter leave my bike intact, win or lose it was ALWAYS the first thing to be shot at and destroyed.

i am by no means saying this makes what that jedi did okay... it is just how people seem to think the game is played...

Xanger I have a question. If the Jedi had a bike out and looked like he was going to run, would you have blasted it to pieces?

I carry swoops by the crate, and consider them an expendable commodity. If the costs of a replacement for a swoop gets you bent out of shape, maybe you should pick a profession that is a bit less hard on spirit and equipment.

I personally think its a very smart move by the Jedi. Its going to be a war out there now. Many Jedi will die and so will many BH. So he did his part in slowing you down just the slightest. Your goal was to kill him and collect a reward. You did not succeed. Its a good lesson learned. And like previously stated. How was he to know you werent going to ride around looking for him or something. You are the enemy. all is fair in war( as long as its working as intended lol)

Cheer up. Be poud that a Jedi ran from you.

I don't think the point of the OP was the bike. Granted, he should not have pulled it out. His point was that the Jedi was able to destroy it without fear of consequence. BHs don't get that luxury, neither does anyone else.

I think if we tallied up the Bike Loss........

Jedi = 4309545098345980349503950349059453 detroyed by BH's first thing

BH = 46

Or close to that....

Yes, it does sound like he, the BH, owned. The Jedi's only recourse was hide, destroy a bike and hide again. WOW!

lol, and like the other poster said, it wasnt actually about the bike, i carry a full crate with me... it wasnt a big loss.. I just found the tactic of him hiding from me with cloak untill i call my bike to quit, only to have him uncloak to get my bike, and recloak... yes, ive destroyed bikes, but only if they jedi was trying to escape on it, ive never done it just to be spiteful, like i felt this was done for.

Of course BHs get that luxury! What consequence do they face if they lose to a jedi?

Cloaking has it's uses, don't get me wrong. I'm somewhat indifferent to it. If used right I think it can be a very viable tactic for a Jedi who knows how to use it. It's not just a getaway skill.

My 1 hunt last night involved a cloaker. She would cloak and run around me, taunt me, etc. I didn't let it bother me. I kept getting told "I used /duel and know you're here for me!!!" whatever. I just sat and watched after she finally left me alone. After a bit I noticed she just kept jumping between 2 cities so I decided to go see what was going on. Sure enough there was some PvP so I decided to go sit in the cloner in the other city. After a bit there she was. I got called a clone camper and the like but the way I see it she just got outsmarted. Let your mark get comfortable in their own skin and a lot of times they'll get overconfident and make the mistake you can capitalize on. Be patient, be ready and be successful. Give someone enough rope and they'll eventually hang themselves.

Believe it or not some of us take pride in what we do. Personally I take a defeat harder than any sort of tangible loss. A trip to the cloner is hardly without consequence IMO.
