Thread: offering rides, load camping and mobilhomes cheating or fair?
In Northen California, we have what is call Ground Squirrels out in the country. They dig holes (or burroughs) in the ground. Whereever they have a good food source, they dig their holes. We used to grab our .22 rifles and go out hunting them, but DANG them buggers ran fast. If you didn't pop one in the first shot, it's time to move on, because they ALL just darted into the holes. It's a survival instinct. They have something dear to them they wish to protect (their lives).
Now, what if I was to go to the game warden and demand he put fences over them holes, because when I hunt those squirrels, I expect them to just stand in the open while I shoot them?
He'd just look at me and say "Now that just wouldn't but HUNTING, would it?
* Mobile homes: Neither a cheat or an exploit. It's a legal intentional use of homes. The developers made it a point that anyone could build a home anywhere at any and all times. The cheat/exploit is not getting a TEF letting them run into those homes. Does it create an unfair advantage having mobile homes? Depends on what you define 'advantage' as and you define it as preventing a BH from engaging their target. Well if thats the definition of an advantages there's lots of them. Space, private structures they sit in, etc. Personally I see it as a disadvantage for both parties, the BH doesn't get to attack, the Jedi doesn't get to play. A stalemate.
* /offerride: it's a really gray area on this one. From all accounts the developers are aware of this and have said they're paying attention to the situation and may/may not do anything about it. So it's neither cheating or exploiting until the developers make up their mind, however, it is rather lame. /offerride to the BH attacking, now I agree with that. They could fix that by making it like party invite or inviting to space. 1 small box and you can't offer anymore until the person either accepts or denies rides. The way it is now personally is harasement to spam someone continually with offers.

*I had also posted this in the Jedi section of the forums althoush I would liek feedback from both areas of the forums on this.
Just taking a census here. Could I get some solid community feedback on these issues....thanks in advance. (goign to present a list of ideal responces to the guild with the intent to avoid possible grieving and/or cheating.)
- Offearing rides - offering a ride to a jedi friend to get them away from a BH, spamming offer rides to BHs to distract, or using offer ride on special forces to get them away from hostiles.
No rides to either party. unless the jedi wants to hop in his speeder and bring the bh along?
- Load camping - sitting at load zone at a starport and hitting a hot target as soon as targetable.
I have been accused of this once or twice I load in, and see two red guys right beside me, start my attacks, not realizing that I had just beat them loading by a few secs.
- Mobile homes - dropping homes while grinding to always to have a safe house within 100m.
as long as yno one enteres while they have a teff. or are supposed to have a teff. I can log on my alt while I camp your house and go kill gorax or something.

Hmm...Nights Ferry? Where abouts would you pepper the hill side in sport of these little rodents?(the burrows are huge problems to some ranchers since they can cause cattle to injur themselves.)
Orland, 20 miles west of Chico, and the hills west of Black Butte Lake
And I remember going to Night's Ferry, I believe (was almost 20 years ago). I had my first rodeo there.
One thing I learned from that day. If you are gonna enter a Hide Race, DON'T get a Barrel Racer to ride the horse!

there is nothing gray about what you said. Dropping a house at wherever you are hunting/grinding is an exploit.
How is it exactly, that placing a house is an exploit?

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but houses won't be an issue after the next publish as they will get a TEF as soon as we attack (whether they attack back or not).
It could still be a "problem". Overhead map goes for a long ways. As long as you get the first shot on them, you're good. But they could easily take off before that first shot is fired.

it cheating, coz the jedis are too frightened to fight against BH's.
i dont think any BH would use a mobile home if a jedi attacks him no matter if he could stand a chance against him or not.
Fair is fair. Noone's going to take you seriously if you only talk about the unfair things that the enemy does to you. How about
1) Specials that stack indefinitely (2 people alternating knockdown, root, startle shot, disarm, etc.)
2) ganking en masse
3) targetting padewans, mid-template weak FS
If you talk about the whole picture, then maybe you'll look like you are really after a good pvp game. Otherwise it's just whining.
Well, there's a whole lot of difference between fair and legal.
