Thread: Kashyyyk Jedi : Not So Bad
For Once, now we can call BH'sthe whiners I suppose.Kashyyyk is merely ONE planet out of NINE planets that your little droids dont work on, big deal. Realisticly, its supposed to be more dense than a triple canopy jungle in South America, I'd like to see you to get a robot to move in that terraign and see how far it gets. But no, you want easier acess to jedi prey so you can supposedly "pwn" them. It's rediculous, BH will cry "exploit" to almost anything,
Your own corospondant started a threadranting thatjedi are exploiting if we use force run since he thinks its bugged, which it isnt, lmao, classic. The game has bugs, BH use them, Jedi use them, everyone uses them, dont try to act righteous or "Holier than thou", even that CSRTim used them when he was on the rryatt trail, so show some maturity already and just play the game.
I typically don't post in a forum outside the Jedi fourms, so let me start off by saying this isn't intended to be a troll post.
I actually agree that BH droids should function on every planet, and it seems extremely unfair that the system currently prohibitsBH from using their skills and equipment on Kashyyyk to prevent them from easily acquiring their marks. Unfortunately the resulting argument by the BH community carries as much weight as the Jedi rant about Group Visibility issue. It is likely that it just won't ever change.
I agree that it is rediculous that Jedi are AFK farming areas on Kashyyyk to gain XP with little to no regard for the danger of a BH. Personally every time I see a post that says "I just killed a Jedi AFK grinding on the trails," I laugh. If you ask me, they deserve it. Maybe it's not exploiting, but it is irrelivant. It's just downright idiotic. In my humble opinion it defeats the purpose of being a Jedi, but then again everyone has the right to play their toon as they wish.
In turn this all leads back to Group Visibility, and BH's being unable to use their droids on Kashyyyk. Honestly, I can't believe some of you BH's are still surprised by this and expect it to change. Is it unfair? Yes and no. Many Jedi argue that losing XP to a BH is unfair, considering one cloned kill results in 2 hours worth of work (rough estimate) considering BH's can come every 30 minutes to one hour. This is disregarding that mulitple BH's can come after one mark.
Now don't get me wrong, because I'm not complaining myself. I do the smart thign and stay off the damned terminals and grind away safely. It may be slower, but in the end it all works out the same. I'll take on the BH community when I'm ready. To those Jedi foolish enough to pop their heads up around you, go get em. It doesn't bother me one bit.
All in all I think it comes down to the age old problem of money. The real reason why Jedi is as easy to acquire as it is, is simply because it generates sales from new customers and existing accounts endeavoring to become Jedi. Back to the subject of droids not functioning on Kashyyyk and why it likely won't get fixed is simple. If Jedi have afairly risk free zone to grind (or so it leads them to believe) then SOE makes more money by selling copies of ROTW. Not only will Jedi accounts buy it to grind there with less hassle, but you BH's are pretty much pressured to do the same in an effort to keep up with your mark along the trails and high traffic XP areas. It all comes down to selling more product. Personally...I haven't bought ROTW for that very reason. It does nothing but promote SOE's lack of service in this game that in my opinion is filled with holes, bugs, and broken skills and abilities on -both- sides of the fence.
In closing I simply want to say I respect what you BH's do and agree you need to be here to keep the Jedi population in check. But don't expect changes in the way of situations like this. There's probably the same chance they'll alter group vis for Jedi as there is for droids functioning normally on Kashyyyk. It's about balancing SOE's bank account, not our game. As for the AFK Jedi...like I said, go get em cause if they AFK they deserve to get dusted. Maybe they'll get smart and learn how to actually stay off of the terminals altogether, rather than house hiding and Force Running when a fight breaks out. Apparently most Jedi haven't learned from the BH community by studying their foe and choosing the moment to fight, rather than being surprised when at a disadvantage.
