Thread: Fire retardant post the BH vs Jedi relationship
one thing i can say about bounty hunters is that you want to keep hunting player jedi. I like that. Im an advocate of jedi vs bh hate and im a jedi. now, what baffles me is jedi who complain about it saying they dont want to be hunted anymore. That REALLY irritates me. And yes, ive told these carebears many times that its the whole point (outside of reward for actually accomplishing it) was that it was a PVP profession and youll be hunted (old school jedi actually had a letter SPECIFICALLY stating from SOE that it IS...IS...IS a PVP PROFESSION).
But i can not stand the carebear timeshare. And i want bh vs jedi hate. it really does make my gameplay more fun when i kill you. and dont lie you know quite well that you all enjoy killing a jedi too, especially one that you cant stand..

AMEN BROTHER....TELL THESE CRYBABIES TO FIRE UP THE WAHBULANCE AND DRIVE OVER TO EQ2.
PvP is what this game ought to be about, nothing is more interesting to fight then a living, thinking, unpredictable opponent.
HATE IMPROVESPvP. I don't kill people I like.....![]()

hah, one of my old marks prior to names being removed off the terms pretty much followed thru on this guys comments. This person logged on late nights the same time as I. Killed himonce, then got their mission again a couple weeks later. This time however they escaped and ran into their house. As I stood on the porch we had a discussion. Basically he was still in the midst of the grind and asked why I kept hunting him, /yawn.He proceeded to give me a sad story of howhe didn't like pvp etc.kinda like all the recent postsof jedi here,
I told them i would accept a payment of xx millions of credits and I would delete the mission and won't hunt them again. To my surprise he complied. ![]()
So i stopped bothering this mark and recently ran into him a week ago, he is full template now btw. Since he is full temp, now I guess pvp is his thing since he challenged me to a duel and told me if I get his mission again, albeit anonymously he would enjoy exacting revenge,
His demeanor changed quickly once he got full temp. And all the current jedi whiners herewill do as well.. Basicallyduring the grind they don't want to be bothered. Once they at full temp they will be hanging at theed like the rest of the poons. don't let their BS fool you, I learned from my mistake, ![]()

Gonna dig this one back up again...
A lot of you make good points, and for the most part I appreciate the mature responses.
I want to re-stress, however, that I am not advocating a removal of the PvP part. Truth is, every time I see a blue dot roll up on my radar I am hoping they will open up on ME. I love the rush. Shoot, yesterday I was using my saber to help in some base take-downs...just so my visibility would go up. I usually use my rifle. I am not a spectacular PvPer, but my template is good, and what little I would lose from a defeat could be made up fairly quickly.
Iam not against some form of punishment system either. I just think thexp loss penalty causes more animosity than it needs to.
Here is a short story: A couple of weeks ago, I was out grinding in a group on Lok. Little known to me, one of our groupmembers (a fairly new guy) invites one of his friends to come along....even though our group was full. So the guy rolls up, and for whatever reason he launches a droid. He was a MBH, though his CL was in the low 60s so it was not like I was particularly worried. Neither this guy nor his friend make it clear that he is wanting to join the group.
We had just finished our current mission after the guy rolled up and appeared to launch his droid. We start heading to the next waypoint, and this blue dot starts to follow. Being the only Jedi in the group, I was fairly certain he had my mark. I get off my bike at the next waypoint, and so does he. We stand there for a while and every starts asking questions of him, to which we get no clear answers. Finally, I simply told him "just go ahead and start shooting me if you are going to"....its not like he was going to catch me off-guard at this point. I never said anything rude to him, just told him to shoot.
And now, he is angry at me, and at all of us. He basically tells his friends that we are all a bunch of jerks, calls me some name andinforms methat I am of below average intelligence. He then rides off in disgust after we finally understand that he was only looking to join the group. I tried to apologize to him (even though I never really did anything to anger him), but I guess he just felt like a victim of BH prejudice.
I felt bad about the encounter. The level of hate between the two communities (formany individuals anyway) is such that he and I immediately become suspicious of each other. He automatically became defensive, even though he was never verbally attacked. He simply presumed that I was going to start hating on him, so he gave it to me first.
Knee-jerk reactions. This guy's disgust was real, it wasn't just in character. That is the part that bothers me, and many others (I am still assuming). To me, when that kind of hate transcends the game itself transfers to the real people sitting behind the mouse and keyboard, then it has gone too far.
I don't want to be thought of as a carebear - but to me the line has been crossed when the hate transfers into real life. That is what Counter-Strike is for.
