Thread: if you don't have MBH is it worth having any investigation boxes for npc missions?

am i in it for the wrong reason? well i am playing a game, i am playing it the way i like, i am picking the class that best allows me to do what i want to do, and i am doing it while attempting not to ruin the game for other players. what reason is wrong?

In 5 or 6 years, when you go to college, you can take psych-101, find out what an a-type personality is, thenlook back at comments you made in threads like this and both rue and lament what an idiot you were.

I play a role playing game to play a role - for me it's about a character and interaction with others and imagination, not about wh0ring for loot. If all you want to do is pick up the coins and crystals, go play Mario F.F.S.
I wouldn't say "everyone is an idiot except me" but I will say that it is a statistical inevitability that fully half of all people have an IQ of 100 or less - and it's pretty clear what side of the line you fall on. the elite and bosses part yes...it was in the patch notes...as far as the loot...it was not specifically stated...but the results do not lie...the loots have been tweaked to where MBHs are the ones getting it...

And those NPC missions? There was no loot, except for a few credits. Those of us who were bounty hunters back then did so because they liked the profession, not because we wanted loot. It's nice that we finally get a reward commensurate to the challenge, better still that there's a challenge at all now. If making sure that the profession isn't spoiled by people who don't really care about it makes me an "a-type tard", all I can do is laugh and point you and the OP to the nearest CounterStrike server.
although no one can tell you how to play your game ...or what to do while you play or what proffessions to pick .. i agree with this post .... i think too many people in the community are playing this game in a shallow manner ... chain killing .. afk grinding ... power grinding for jedi ....chain killing certain mobs for loot ... ect...
this type of play style lacks SOUL ... and i may be the minority but i played this game to get immersed .. im a HUGE star wars fan and although i dont go around RP'ing in "character" all the time .... i would like to see more soulfull players out there .. people who appreciate the environment ..the virtual world
im sick of seeing shallow people in this game ruin it as time moves on ...like the people who choose MBH just for the loot and then diss the proffession behind its back ... talking about how much it sucks and its only about the "loot", .. or going around griefing jedi giving the rest of the BH a bad name ... or people choosing jedi just toPVP.... and acting nothing LIKE jedi.... walking around talking trash to new players or non jedi,,,.. giving the rest of the jedi a bad name ...... not even attemptingto RP around those they see are immersed .... nothing angered me more when i saw the krayt, nightsister, dark jedi knight, chain killing loot farmers go MBH as soon as it was announced wed get some good loot ...people who refused to join My bounty hunter guild at first .. then spam me with tells askingfor template advice ... and looting advice .. asking to join for benefits... and tips ...
people will be people ... and i guess some just dont care to playout the role playing elements to the game ...butfor me .. looting is just something i need to do ..a job .. to finance the rest of my adventures ...i wouldnt base my proffession on it ...
its these type of instant gratification gluttons that are eating this game away from the inside out ...
and no offense to the OP im not saying you are one of the people ... this is just a thought that was spurred from the persons post i quoted ..

Hey, you're the one who stepped up. Don't lecture me about maturity, you wouldn't recognize it anyhow. The guy asked for my opinion and I gave it - this isn't a forum for self-congratulatory strokes. If you're not mature enough to accept that asking for input means you'll get some that's not always flattering or in accordance with your own point of view, then a forum is probably not a place for you.
It's not about having the last word (though I notice you seem to seek that), it's about getting you to understand. If you can't grasp why people in role playing games expect their fellow players to play a role, then maybe this isn't the right kind of game for you.

Glad you stuck with the topic. rather then grief some poor dude's post for asking a a question. You have a problem with ppl not roleplaying, start a new topic on that.
It's not a problem with roleplaying, it's a problem with people who don't care about a profession and are willing to abuse it for their own advantage. This is what leads to nerfs - as history has proven. Ask any Smuggler how dabblers have harmed a profession that needed help to begin with.
If you're in it just for the loot, there are better professions you could choose anyhow - like Jedi, where it's apparently acceptable to act like that.
