Thread: Stop Whining
I can see how it might be rude if I went to a cantina full of Non-AFK musicians (if I go somewhere, and its just all AFK people, I set up, and steal all the exp :-P ), set up, and refused to join their group, that would be stepping on toes, but if I was there first, then thats my cantina, if I won't group you, find somewhere else to go.
Even I do that sometimes and for the same reasons--one can only handle so much sw1, rock, and sw2 on the horns. Just as long as you're not AFK and doing it is all I'm trying to get at. 
im not a musician, i go out and kill stuff. when i come to a cantina, i may heal from an AFKer but im not lame enough to tip someone thats not even at their keyboard...and im not the only one who feels this way. i tip the entertainers that grind it out and talk to the people coming in, take the time to have some style, be creative, try to synchronize flourishes, wear a cool outfit, have something clever to say..youll get a nice tip

1. Your talking about being in there first means your ruler(i'll get to that next), but who was in there FIRST?
2. It's not your cantina!!!! The Devs made it, not you...

I'm not the one who is making it a battle of semantics. You post your opinion in order to get other people to change. To me, that's the same thing that you're complaining about others doing.

#3: Did I say I was on center stage? No. The nalargon being the size it is, I always play it with my back against a wall, whether or not I am AFK. Stepping on their toes? Screw them. The purpose of her email was to upbraid me for daring to play a nalargon around non-masters. If they cannot compete with an AFKer by means of their glowing personalities, let them become chefs or fencers. No one is entitled to group with anyone else. That girl's grousing was just like a Mom and Pop store complaining about Wal-Mart coming to town.
First off, you must have missed the word "if". Secondly, you're "stealing" entertainer healing exp...something they can't get from a terminal but still need to advance. Thirdly, interesting analogy. I've never seen a Wal-Mart run itself overnight with nobody on staff.
Don't misunderstand me. I have no problems with what you do when you're at your computer. Some may find it rude that you don't join them, but I don't really care about that. What I care about and have a problem with is yourattitude that the SWG world owes you a living when you're not even playing the game when in fact the people who are playing (and earning) their keep aren't getting it because of you.
But alas, words change nothing. I don't expect any of this to change a single thing you do.

Again, I steal nothing. Every person who goes into that cantina has a choice about who to listen to/watch. If my AFK musician does a better job at it than an active player, maybe that player is not as active as she thinks. I am appropriating nothing. If they do not like that I am in a cantina, welcome to a free market economy. The grousers can go to another cantina. They can do something to distingush their services from the ones I provide. They can do any number of things that would be more productive than sending repeated emails and tells informing me that I am "not nice".
What's this straw man about my attitude? I never said that anyone or anything owes me anything or even intimated anything of the kind. Indeed, it was the attitude of entitlement that I have been criticizing. Please try to keep up.

As far as a player doing what they please sure you can. Do I feel the dancer was a bit forward to you sure but
My take?
Your a MasterMusician.
You step into a cantina its your job to try and make it a pleasant place. If theres no entertainer group you gel them.
If your invited you accept.
Making friends good conversation, healing players etc.
If the Cantina is dead or full of afk folks at least try to stir the pot get some interaction going etc.
You have that power, does it always work no but it does work. You have the ability to make sw1 alot more then if you leave your lower level brethren to their own.
Besides if you play the high stuff too much yer gonna get sick of them
I've actually done this and it feels good when it works.
We are very different then other classes. We train each other we have much larger much more steady grouping. We have the ability to make a cantina feel like a community.
That strikes me as important.
Then again what the hell do I know
I am a carbineer 0-3-0-0 and a BH carbineer 0-4-0-0, I OWN everything that moves in this game, there is nothing that i dont consistently kill (85%+) High HAM costs are a joke, its not really a problem if u actually healed yourself once in a while. We are the only profession that has an AR2 weapon that can be fired at 1.0 second delay, with Cripple shot thats 1200+ dmg every second in PvP. We are the strongest combat profession there is, I can solo 10-12k hp mobs solo without a pet. Meanwhile I come here and all I hear is we suck, and the only people that play this are gimps, etc...
The only gimps are the whiners. Lets leave the Carbineer as is, the speed is fine 85 speed is retardedl fast, 135 accuracy is insane, we are fine. Make the Elite a different damage base, like stun or something would be cool, other than that we are FINE

You're not a carbineer, you're a bounty hunter. So stop saying carbineers are fine.
Shut up stupid Tref. You obviously haven't reached the other skills trees so you haven't had experienced how all our other special attacks are broken. So stop talking about what you don't know. Also, you being a Bounty hunter AND NOT A CARBINEER ( hell you have more skills in BH than Carbineer) you have the speed and accuracy modifiers of that of a Master Marksman AND A NOVICE BH and its carbine tree. So if you are fast is because you have those modifiers, NOT BECAUSE THE CARBINEER PROFESSION IN ITSELF GIVES U THOSE.
You have to remember that there are others in the game that didn't choose to be Bounty Hunters cause its such a popular profession and don't want to be what all the other 3000 people in the server are. Carbineer profession needs to get improved for those who pickeddifferentprofession than BH, andwant to have the same defense MODs that other profession like pistoleers and rifleman have. Also we want our broken special fixed, if u don't have those broken specials then just shut up and let those of us who DO HAVE BROKEN SPECIALS demand for our fixes.
