Stop crying. Its a military base, jedi or not. You think that soldiers in bases around the world don't use them for protection? oh wait...
From dictionary.com :
A center of organization, supply, or activity; a headquarters.
1. A fortified center of operations.
2. A supply center for a large force of military personnel.
Get over it, if he's using a military base to provide him protection, id say its working as intended.
a quote from Episode 2 seems to fall in here somewhere...
"we are not soldiers, we are keepers of the peace" jedi council member cant remember his name
I remmeber this instance arp. he ran into the base for a couple reasons...
1) he couldn't counter you effectively (obviously)
2) imperial overts were in the area
This mechanic is fine imo. If you want the same abilities to go in any base anywhere, you need to be the same status.

To my understanding--once a jedi is engaged with a BH it acquires a TEF that precludes them from any structure --key word ANY. I engaged a jedi who happened to be overt (i was on leave) and when the going got rough he just ran back inside a nearby base. Seems to me that the BH-Jedi TEF should be distinct from a GCW TEF.
Oh, c'mon. You know that if it involved the kiddies, it's "working as intended"
Du-uu-uh!

I got all the info I need. However, as a purist, I believe that the movies should be the sole arbitrator of what is or isn't canon...
Yeah, I know, but its how I feel.
bounty hunters hunting jedi isn't cannon. game set match.
Actually Vader hired the BHs in TESB to hunt Luke. Han Solo just happened to be there.
Actually....
Vader hired the BH's to find the falcon, and therefore han, knowing luke would sense his friend in danger, drawing him into vaders trap. It helps if you listen to yoda at that point of the movie ![]()

SOE Jedi ploicy:
§ 1 Everything that allows Jedi to escape certain death is intended and therefore completly legal. No actions are taken even if they use 3rd party tools.
§ 1.1 If we, by far too many complainsof our2nd class costomers, are forced and have to close an escape hole thatJedi can use to play safely, we just open another. Even it is one that was allready closed some time ago.
§ 1.2 Repeat § 1.1 as often as nessesary to ensure safety of our 1st class customers.
§ 1.3 If a 2nd class customer finds a way to give our 1st class customers a hard time then 1.)nerf his abilties, 2.) give our 1st class customers a way around it, or 3.) remove the 2nd class customer from the game!

This game left the EU behind a long, long time ago.......
Seeing as how the EU includes everything under the Star Wars license that is not one of the 6 movies, this game is part fo the EU.
Ummmm, no.
This game STARTED OUT based on the EU. The moment the game went live, it left the EU and became an "alternate universe".
To be more correct, you should have said that the EU spans all things not of the movies that are "officially recognized" by LucasArts LTD. LucasArts at no time decided that the plethora of Jedi in the SWG supercedes the canon of the EU and so changed the canon to reflect what has happened in the SWG game.
So my statement is still correct. While originally based on and occassionaly fed from the trough of the EU, this game left the EU behind after the first person logged into live.

personally i use the bases whenever i can.. because i can... it force a BH to enter close quarter contact with his target and a BH will get his boots handed to him inside those tight halls. Thats why. Its called tactics. If your opposing faction and cant get in... so sorry. If you are a reb and want me. Come on in and play. Tje jedi arent suppose to meet you on YOUR terms when they can change the advantage to their own.
and i know you all hate having to earn your keep now. Just sux being you huh? No more singling out the low level paddies. 200 kills my butt.. how many were CL 70 and up? big boi
CMN
Exactly, no TEF locks you out of a base...If you wanted to get in there you could, just have to declare....

Ah yes the expanded universe, it contradicts itself and the films, yet it serves a jedi when they deem it to be so and they can disregard it when they see fit.
