You're missing the point, a jedi initiate is a newbie character no stronger than a novice brawler. Killling such a character is not an "achivement" nor is it worth bragging rights. I, as a chef and novice fencer, incapped a jedi initiate with ease. I am not a griefer, a flamer or a troll and I am certainly not a bounty hunter. But killing an initiate with no skills is not a fair fight. If you want some prestige go kill a master jedi, for that I will give you respect, a worthy notch upon your gun.

Otherwise go ahead and kill baby jedi.... do you feel proud?

As someone who posted basically the same question and got no response at all I am a little baffled.

Most players have never killed a Jedi - they don't know if it is worth a badge, faction points, imperial reward etc.

Since any class, even a dancer with a cdef, can deathblow a Jedi, the question clearly belongs in the Jedi forums - not as a seperate topic on every class forum.

I happen to think it is perfectly reasonable that if the Empire wants the Jedi eradicated (which it does!) then some minor Imperial reward of either faction points, badgeor credits is in order. Obviously it should be less of a reward than the "tasked" bounty hunter kills - but the Empire DID put a bounty on all Jedi..they couldn't care less if an "authorized" bounty hunter gets the kill or some back woods musician who got lucky. Either way its a dead Jedi - cha ching!

I never said killing a Jedi initiate was hard or any substantial accomplishment, but there's not really anything wrong with doing it. If stating this is against forumrules or offensive then I apologize.

Let the flaming commence!

ok these are your subsequent posts, coming here and bragging how you killed a jedi, then having a bring it on attitude and posts, that's trolling

truth be told i think there should be a badge of some sort, however that's not really why you're here, you're here to boast and stir up trouble

take the boast to the bh forums and if you think there should be a jedi kill badge post a constructive post about that in the gcw or bh threads

don't come to where jedi come to learn about their profession just to talk smack and start trouble please

Considering there is no bonus for NOT killing a jedi (in the Starwars Galaxy alot of people still respected jedi) I dont want to see a bonus for killing them.

Quite simple... Jedi initiate has a "jedi initiate" title above their head... obviously a test/muck around character, considering they are in a populated area and are tef'd.

Jedi Knight/Master:..... Have you seen one?.... Have you killed one?.....No?

Respect is given to those whoearn it. Don't even try to make yourself sound big by sayiing that " I killed a Jedi" mr big bad bounty hunter. I can kill a baby jedi too.

Are you still proud?

See what kind of attention it draws, i.e. see what those who are discussing the Jedi think about it.

And let the flaming commence, if you hadn't noticed I was replying to the previous post. It's called sarcasm...I knew people would reply like that.

I seriously doubt this guy is a Jedi, it looks like all his posts are meant to get a rise out of someone. Sounds like a 10 year old doing crank calls.

"Quite simple... Jedi initiate has a "jedi initiate" title above their head... obviously a test/muck around character, considering they are in a populated area and are tef'd."

I've seen a lot of jedi...well, quite a few, depends what you'd consider a 'lot' since there aren't THAT many on each server yet, and I've only seen one that actually had their 'tag' up (Jedi Initiate) and they were running around Coronet show boating it. Point is, a TEF'd jedi shows up as a blue dot on the radar to imperials. Unless we SEE the saber or just happen to be Tab'ing (getting active targets in view) we would only immediately think they were just ordinary people wandering through the wilderness like I was so the smart ones (99% of them) do NOT leave their tag visible when they're fighting to help minimize attacks and lower the chance that other people will know the name and associate it with being a jedi. At least that's how I see it. Basically, point is...they don't HAVE the title above their heads because they turn it off and since that's the case, there is no WAY to know if they're a new jedi, old jedi, high level jedi, weak jedi or WHAT they are. Personally, if I stand a chance to be attacked, I'm not going to stop and ask them questions...I'm going to attack or run and right now, Jedi are a HUGE prize in the eyes of Bounty Hunters (no, I'm not a bounty hunter), it's worth it to die trying to kill one to most hardcore BH so just like anyone that's ready to do their job...they attack the first chance they can, their level's be damned.
