What is with the loot in this game? Players are rewarded for AFK camping low level POI mobs, yet if you go out and hunt down the highest level enemies in the game you get stim and wound packs? We have killed loads of Dark adepts, Dark Jedi knights and Dark Jedi Masters, and for all that hard work have only seen one or two quality Force Crystals and a skill tape you could get 20 of at the Aakuan cave. The NPCs that are this hard to find and kill should always drop something good. So are crystals and pearls above "quality" only handed out on a case by case basis now? What is the problem with handing out more loot? It might just bring down some of these outrageous prices.

Just kill more. It's all luck. You can kill 5 DJK and get 3 ca/aa. Then the next 20 kills zip. That's the way it works and I kind of agree on it until they make things harder to kill. ATM if these mobs dropped good loot even half the time, everyone and I do mean everyone will have +25 modded suits for whatever profession they want. Trust me, people are looting a ton of stuff right now, you just have to be on for hours.....which is the problem for people who have to go and work lol.

Last week I would have agreed with this post however, the cave has been nerfed with the last publish. I am one of those cave campers that you all know and love . Last week, I was able to completely fill my inventory in about 2 hrs. Mind you most of it is junk, but I averaged one decent-good range tape every spawn (15 min or so). Since the publish, it has taken almost 8 hours to fill my inventory, again mostly filled with deletable crap. Instead of one tape every spawn, Im getting one tape every 3-5 spawns, most of which are not good enough to keep, so they also get deleted.

Instead of a good tape every 15 minutes, Im getting a tape worth keeping every 3-4 hours.

You just want players that have the time to AFK camp to have the "+25 modded suits"? What is wrong with more people having access to such loot? BTW I'm not even going to bring up how players are able to find that many Knights, which we both know isn't supposed to happen. Maybe its that type of exploit that causes the Devs to make it so that they don't drop better loot more often. Maybe if high end loot dropped more often people wouldn't feel the need to exploit like that. (or not lol!) The game would be more fun if we were rewarded for effort. Its hard enough when only one thing drops and there is a full group of players that want the item.

actually, the +25 DJM EXPLOIT is punishing the rest of us...

Back in the day, there were very few +25s on any server, and even the useless ones sold for a small fortune as a collectable. These days, I know very few peeps that dont have any +25s. On the starsider trade forum, you can pick up some +25s for 5 mil or less, due to how common and available they are. It a +25 is that cheap, it makes most of my +5s pretty much worthless. Actually, since the latest patch, I have been deleting 8 out of every 10 seas I get cause I know they will either not sell at all or will sell for an amount that will not justify my time in delivering to the winner.

I am all for high level content that is challenging for everyone and cannot be done by a CL30 player however, the DJMs, ancient Kryats, the wookie planet boss whose name escapes me, all require jedi to complete, or one of the very few uber veteran players who are runnin with the 20mil set of armor and the 20 mil weapon.

Is it just me, or does it seem that more and more content is coming out for jedi and the rest of us are being forgotten? Yea, I know jedi are supposed to be uber, but they are also supposed to be protectors and not violent killers. High end content should be designed for CL80 peeps that have some idea of what they are doing, not just for jedi.

Oh wow your really going to try and turn this into Jedi hate? I have a master defender Jedi but I can tell you its a lot easier to kill these NPCs using regular ranged professions and you can do it with less people.

QFE

I see more ranged players doing this than Jedi. It's the ability of Ranged players to out manuver the mob and not even get hit that makes it better than a Jedi. Most of the time a Master DEfender will run out of force if solo when trying to kill highend mobs. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a shame that DJM can be solo'ed by both types (non-Jedi and Jedi) but don't think for it a minute people are doing it with 20 mill dollar armor or weapons lol. Why would they need that if they never get hit?

I really hate to get into the AI problems but its sad that these tactics are required. I guess the Devs are making up for a lack of AI by making them do 10,000 to 50,000 points of damage a shot. The force sensitive NPCs don't use any powers anymore. I run a huge Neverwinter Nights dedicated server 100% designed by me and in the 2 years of running it one thing I learned is thatit is better to prolong the fight with AI ratherthen drop a player in one shot. Players are more likely to try and find and exploit rather then use a legitimate combat tactic if you do this to them. For instance if you made the Dark Jedi Knights stats about the same as a "uber" buffed Jedi Knight player and used powers like heal it would prolong the fight but in the end code is always faster and more accurate if written correctly.

Completely agree and that is why so many feel when a player finds tactics on beating something that can do this the first thing that comes to mind is an exploit. I wish the devs would have left the old combat system in place while making sure the CURB was in good working order.......not even perfect just good enough that we don't have obvious unbalancing issues such as what you describe above. Pretty sure some players would stilltry to find ways to exploit but at least most people can actually use real tactics and not cheese to beat these insane mobs.

I hope you're not looking for sympathy. It's because of you people that good SEA's are so difficult to find. It should be a special thing to get like a Black Sun Helmet (but maybe not that rare) and not always found in the same location or Mob. But you people mess it up for all of the rest of us. Thanks a lot!

Since we can't keep you people from camping, then all we can do is make them available for everyone or no one. Either that or random spawns everywhere. No static locations.

Here... let me press the "I win" button for you.

They are different slicing tools which smugglers use, some of those are used for armor, weapons and so on. If you are not a smuggler and have no use for them they can sell for a fair bit of money especially when sold in bulk, but of course the price they will sell for depends on your buyer
