It is not a matter of "learning your temp" as many people claim. The facts are very clear on this. Jedi dmg output is not enough to over come the 4000 CM healing ability, much less a MCM. Yes, I do understand that there are some great Jedi out there, with preCU sabers that can prove my previous statement to be incorrect. However, the vast majority of jedi do not fit into this category. If it was a skill v skill fight then sometimes the BH would win and sometimes the Jedi would win. Unfortunatley it has become a fight of equipment. While I understand that both sides will eventually spend massive amounts of credits to get the best possible equipment it remains true at this point in time that BH equipment far outstrips jedi equipment (obviously discounting precu sabers which are held by a small minority). That leaves two choices for the devs to make to bring the fun back into the hunt, so to speak. Choice 1 is to bring healing into line with damage output. I personally think this is a crappy idea. We all know that nerifng sucks and unbalances the greater game while attempting to balance a small part of it. Option 2 is start allowing for drops of better pearls. This would let the jedi (hopefully) match a BH for potential equipment. I personally think this is the best option. It brings balance to this small area of the game, and really doesn't effect the pve side. While I understand that jedi will be able to do more damage in pve, it really won't be anymore than a normal proffession can.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts. I am a reasonable person and I believe that the BH/Jedi aspect of this game is incredible. At the same time I find the current state of that aspect to be more than unfortunate. Stop the hate, get back to your roots.

/salute to the great BHs out there who have taken the time to perfect their craft and who bring enjoyment to my game play.

I disagree, I personally would probably never run if there was no XP loss -- since it's PVP, there's no decay; heck, even the decay is irrelevant because my current template allows me to self-rez. And if both professions were properly balanced, then I would very likely look forward to a duel.. you are right in that the devs must make it possible for Jedi to have better sabers, as long as postcu sabers continue to pale beside their predecessors, a lot of BH's won't be able to get a good fight, and most will continue to get runners.

You are entitled to your opinion my friend but my Jedi Alt although unlocked Pre-CU did not become full template to after the CU and has therefore the same saber and pearls as everyone else Post-CU. Personally if i didnt have the XP loss I would stand and fight even if death was inevitable because then after maybe one, possibly definately three hunts I would be off the terminals and can continue the game until I regained the VIS.

I took on 2 MBH / MCM together with my post-CU saber and beat them, might be luck, might be better choice of foods, might have been something to do with me watching their action and mind pools and striking with a good hard combo attack.

The better sabers and pearls etc do help, but they are not the be all and end all. Yes Jedi is the most nerfed profession in the game right now, but dont use that as an excuse to say that its not the XP loss than drives most of the Jedi to run but the rubbish weaponry we have to use. By saying such your are basically stating that Jedi are completely useless, and I dont think we are.

If we didnt have the XP loss, more would stand, fight and learn their templates better, that to me is the truth of the mattter!!

Im guessing you are MCM/MBH with aline ofrifle/pistols/carbs ?

If you want a challenge, surrender that, and go MBH/MR/ Pistols x/x/x/3. It might not be smart, but its a challenge, and it makes hunting jedi a hella of alot funner when you kill them with THAT template

Actually if memory serves me the last time he talked about his template it was MBH/MR. He is all about killing on the first strike.

And did it ever occur to you that removing forced pvp would go a long way to solving these problems? If the BH knew when taking a mission that the mark wasn't likely to run, because they like pvp and they are happy with their template and/or ls, then the BH would stand to benefit. Basically, it would make it possible to match a willing BH with a willing Jedi, they both are cool with PVP and chances are it would be more satisfying for the BH. That's precisely what the OP is complaining about -- that there's a large number of Jedi who don't want to fight (and perhaps justifiably so).

As Jedi keep getting nerfed, it will probably be harder and harder for BHs to find missions for the ones who'd be willing to fight... and chances are those that they get to fight are the ones who can still pwn most BHs.

When players don't like to pvp (or at least to be in forced pvp), you can't make them accept it by giving them weaker templates and make them face someone who has all the advantages the game can offer (first strike, AB resistant armor, fully capped weapons, powerful debuffs, etc).

No because when you Become a Jedi, you are accepting the fact that you might be hunted.

If you want to show off & pull out your tool in public, you are saying "I'm a Jedi, Come & get me"!!!

Don't Like it?

Don't become a Jedi..!!!

You acept the rules of the game when you accept the TOS.

Don't come into this game & tell everyone that they need to Change the Rules just for you , cause you don't like them (even though you have agreed to them).

Jedi are Here to be hunted, thats the whole reason for their existance in SWG & if you don't want it to be that way, you know where the "Cancell Account" button is.

Nope, LOL. A jedi's reason for playing SWG is not to be hunted, but to have fun playing the GAME. Accepting the BH hunt IS a PART of becoming a Jedi.

Either way, you'll see how it is once your toon becomes a jedi.

There's no incentive. In fact it's better that we run. Everytime we stand, fight, and win, we get nerfed.

Seriously, what's the point? Jedi are being nerfed constantly. A couple more and we'll be no more challenging than killing Nunas.

'Course when we run we get nerfed too. *point snare-nerfs*

If jedi is a PVP prof why is it that it is currently one of the weakest out there? against melee now.. we are weak since we can't be AB sliced yes you could say neither can TKM's but they have the option to take swordsman and use armor and still can take enough doc to outheal any jedi and still get hit for less. a swordsman/pike can tear apart a jedi with a good PH.. don't give me the you need a 700+ saber i got one.. 745 to be exact and they can still hit harder than me, it might not be the best saber but it sure is top of the line. now with the new snare changes a ranged prof can kyte you pretty much indefently.

i've personaly have fought every bh that has come my way and have just recently got killed right before patch 24 to a gank squad, i played my cards wrong so i died.. serves me right.. some defeats you learn more than from your victories. now with patch 24 it's a real pain for jedi since all the talk of jedi being even easyer to kill has brought even more bhs our way so it's just a constant fight. right after the patched i loged on to help a guildmate do one of the village quest during which i got attacked by a bh/cm in nice ADK/AB sliced RIS. needless to say i could not even get close to put in a hit, my choice... i used 1 of my buff crystals and just stood there with aura and infusion on talking to him, saying that i was not even going to bother fighting him since it was pointless. after about 30 min he agrees and leaves, i decide to go back to my city and into my house, 5 min after i get to my house another bh shows up and 5 after that the same one as before stops by again and this time he comes with his Mdoc/MSL alt grouped with him so now i have 2 bh grouped with a MSL buff bot, needless to say i simply loged on my alt and crafted some weapons.. lol

most jedi once we are full template don't care if we lose xp or not unless the new FRS will be xp based "if it ever comes back" and most of us if we are confident and pvp regularly will stay and fight it pretty much the only thing we really have left to do now, but we have to have a chance to win but since CU the chances to win have been decreasing with every patch to the point now we have no other thing to do but run or just get a rifleman to 1 hit incap you with SL buffs, due to these buffs we are back at pre-cu legendary/exceptional weapons.. those t-21's with 2k min dmg that a single player could just grab and use strafe shot 2 and instant incap a full group of 20 with one move. those kind of weapons were what made the game unbalanced pre-cu not the way the game was but those looted weapons that 1 hit incaped anyone..

jedi will fight if there is a reason to fight.. right now we have not 1 reason to fight and also very slim chance to win agains a bh that knows how to keep you away with the new system, can't get hit can't lose. thats why more and more jedi just simply not fight anymore, trully sad for what is meant to be a PvP prof.

just my 2 cents

no sig won't let me use html sniff sniff

Eh no, you're wrong there. Jedi accept that there will be many times when pvp is forced upon them. That's fine. Unfortunately for you, it doesnt mean them standing with their pants around their ankles with their thumb in their mouth while an overpoweredMBH/MCM does the oh so boring and familiar damage to you. I dont even bother attepming to win with CM, I escape, and every time. When I make the decision to run, I succeed.

My point is Jedi may be required to PVP, but that doesnt mean they have to.

There is absolutely ZERO insentive for a Jedi to stay and fight a BH. Now that the odds are quite clearly stacked against a Jedi in 1vs1 BH/Jedi fights with all the SL crap, snares and just general CM uberness, quite frankly, you're not worth the risk.

Before all these nerfs I personally would stand and fight. Now? No thanks. You're not worth the 4-6 hour grind 1 hour grind while AFK.

You lose 350-450k per BH death. Thats a few lairs worth on Tatooine in the right spingroup. They should just remove exp loss completely. Its pointless and I'm quite sick of hearing all the Jedi swarming over every other non jedi profession in the game.
