Thread: Regarding House-Jedi (Updated 10/14)

Your proposed fixes are all crap, that'll probably lead to greater exploits.
Thank you for the insight ![]()
Do you have any ideas to share?
Similar to the other solution, but they stay on the terms for the stalkers.

If i'm in my house, its no ones right or business to remove me from it......
Now maybe there can be restrictions added... I/E a structure must have been in place for at least 24 hours before it can be made private. This would stopjedi whom drop houses near their grind spot and hide in them every time a dot comes.
Now if you are complaining about me sitting in my guild hall, or my house in my player city and you dont like that and feel you have some mystical right to flush me out of my home, because you happened across my mission, TO BAD. Its my house, my right to be in it. If you find me there , move on and get another mission. There is no way in heck any one can dictate to me where i shoudl be standing at any given moment.
If you feel i'm on wrong on that point, get over youselves please.
I do agree jedi with travel homes need stopped... The 24 hour timer on private structures would fix that issue.

I think someone else might have posted this, becasue I remember reading it somewhere, but I will re-state the idea here:
What about some penalty in the way of additional XP loss to the Jedi for every minute they are within a structure AND withing 64 meters of a BH holding their Bounty. This penalty would accumilate over time and between Deaths. I don't know how much the OP stated, but enough so that the Jedi would really regret not facing and fighting the BH. We may not have anything to lose, but they would have even more to lose by delaying the inevitable...just fight and get it over with - win or lose.
Dumbest IDEA ever.............................................

I think one of the biggest issues we are all having in this discussion is not quite understanding exacty WHAT it is to HUNT.
Hunting is NOT a guarantee of a battle, regardless of whether it is a Jedi (PVP) or an NPC mark (PVE). Perhaps you've noticed the "Mission Incomplete" messages? Hunting is just that, the process of finding your mark. Battle after finding it really IS optional. Many BH drop missions for various reasons without ever firing one shot - The Mark is on Kashyyyk, the mark is deep on Dathomir surrounded by Nightsisters, what have you.
I for one tracked a mark yesterday, and they were AFK in their house. I dropped the mission like a hot potato, grabbed another mission - And this one was AFK as well - In Theed Cantina. I'm sure you know the result. My efforts were rewarded. If I had dwelled on the AFKer in their house, let it make me angry or annoyed, I may have missed the easy kill - And the 225k payoff that came with it.
So why is it such a big deal to drop the mission when you find your mark house sitting? Is it the loss of a couple seekers and a Arakayd? Our eventual rewards buy those back ten-fold. Is it that you don't have your fun? We can just take another mission - Why dwell on a setback?

Dudes right ^! This argument will never reach a positive outcome for either party. Leave things the way they are, it's too easy to drop a mission. Droids are cheap, not a whole lot of time went into it. Then just make a note of the jedis name for future reference. As for the jedi who think that you are so ungodly uber?! Why not just fight? As stated a million times before you can get the xp back in about ten minutes, the same time we spent tracking you. Did all jedi leave their spines at the village? Thought you guys were supposed to be tough...
Toughness was removed when the CU hit live

wow. i cant believe kicking jedi out of their homes is even a viable discussion. its gonna suck to log out everytime i have to pee. there is no freakin way the devs are going to let another player into my private house. if im in there im probably taking a break. either wait for me to come out or find someone else to hunt. i have a bh and theres no way i expect to be able to barge into another players home. on a side note our houses have no windows to "break in" like was suggested. if this does get implemented I want turrets that turn whatever comes into my home to dust instantly in home defense.seriously. whats next guys. the theif proffession?Message Edited by PoodoSweeper on 10-13-2005 11:02 PM
Do you people even read the ******* OP? Its about finding a way to stop us wasting time hunting down jedi who like to grief BH by idling in their house all day. Kicking jedi out of their house will never happen. If you have an idea that solves both problems, then speak up, if not, shut up.
