So for ranged mit to be considered you have to hold a ranged weapon, and same for melee. Anyone have a pure answer on this? As ive finished my template of Master brawler, Master Pike, Master TKA and fencer 3440 and This could make me reconsider part of it.
Brawler - Master (worth it in my for the slight bonuses)
Medic - Master (keep my toon alive!)
Scout 3/-/-/- (for terrain negotiation)
Pikeman - Master (duh! :-P)
And 9pts in force skills
Melee Accuracy 4
Melee Speed 4
Melee Defense 1
May drop the scout and gain more force skills

Armorsmith: I already mastered, sure as hell ain't gonna drop it.
Any ideas how to make it better without losing Armorsmith and Artisan skills?
EDIT: Math done late at night had me thinking I could also get a little swordsman...

All I really do in the game is duel duel duel duel. I do some large open pvp but I don’t like it to much and I also do the occasional high end pve. I’ve found this template to be very strong in that you dish out the damage with a 1000+ LVA and you won’t take any damage. The only problem is no medic and no TK mediation, which means you have to find somebody to heal your wounds, which as I’ve found is very hard. This template will cap you in all defenses (except ranged mitigation 3, you’ll have up to 2 though), assuming you have 2 articles of BE clothing that total in +25 stun defense, have 2 Aakuan rings and are a Trandoshan
All you’ll need to be speed capped is a +3 attachment which is easy to find. The template is this: Master Brawler/Master Pikeman/0-0-4-0 in pistoleer/0-0-4-4 in combat prowess (melee speed and accuracy)/ 4-4-4-0 in fencer/3-2-0-0 in Enhanced Reflexes. This will give you the following defenses:
Block: +115(Get a +10 CA or multiple attachments totaling in +10 to bring this to cap. Although it’s very expensive you’ll notice a big difference)
Defense vs. Blind: +100
Defense vs. Intimidate: +20 (This skill is currently broken)
Defense vs. Posture Change: +100
Defense vs. Dizzy: +120
Defense vs. Knockdown: +120
Defense vs. Stun: +90 (Get clothing attachments to bring this up to +115)
Melee Defense: +116 (Being a Trandoshan I get +10 to this skill bringing it up to the 125 cap)
Ranged Defense: +116 (Wearing 2 Aakuan rings will bring this up to the 125 cap)
This will also give you +92 polearm speed so with a +3 polearm speed CA you’re at the 95 cap. You’ll have +167 polearm accuracy.
