I'd have to say I like MBH, MRM, Pistol 0404 best like many others. Sure it's cookie cutter and possibly FOTM, but theres a reason for that. It's fun, it wins, it's good for solo and grouping. I deal bookoo damage, have a TON of crowd control, and have good ranged and decent melee defense.

I duo with my friend who is MCH, MCM, and has some BH (Believe 0013) not 100% sure. We seem to make a good team, he can outheal pretty much any 2v2 dmg while I keep the enemy under control. Between knockdown, roots, disarm, dizzy/stun/blind they don't do much damage to either of us, and they have 2 pets beating on them, my friend shooting, and me shooting. Seems to work well. Havn't tried hunting a Jedi yet though

I like m. bounty hunter, m. pistoleer, m. marksman, with rifles 0-0-0-3

I get all the cool pistol specials, low speed for my scatter and low speed for my rifles... I can then macro my pistol and rifle so that I get my first few shots off from a distance then, as my opponent closes, use my pistol, root, get some distance, go back at it with my rifle, and repeat.

I got to say this combo is really working for me so far

** edit nvm somehow my reply ended up 2 pages past the post I was quoting...

as for my template MBH/MRifle/Pistol x/x/x/3 (rest of points in fs skills atm)
But now that I have both cyber arms thinking of changing to pistols or carbines due to the +15 range.

I have a question does mitiagations stack. if you have movement20% 30% and 40% what happens...

no the mitigations do not stack, usually by the time you are master of an elite prof you will (usually)receive no hindrance from the armor anyways so the stacking doesn't really matter

I've a lot of people talking about 4/x/x/x Combat medic as pretty much a must have for any viable jedi hunter. What advantages does this tree provide that allow BH's to basically tank until a Jedi has drained Force.

with that you'll have 3 different heals from skills and you'll be able to use instant stim packs. using your heals correctly you can tank for quite a while before needing to retreat. i've personally fought jedi for over an hour without getting incapped and without draining them of force. also it does not require as many skill points as doctor because you only need one tree of medic abilities (in addition to the ranged support needed for bh) for novice. my current template is mbh/mcm/pistols0004/with 3 boxes of ranged speed. with an unpuped 350 base dps scatter my modded dps is at 520. in addition to that you get access to all the combat medic debuffs and dots which come in extremely handy. the only drawback as far as i'm concerned is you don't get to wear the recon armor. the other advantage of having healing abilities in your template is that it allows you to change the foods you eat to increase your offensive effectiveness. i personally hardly bother with any foods that increase my health pool or my health regen. i prefer to eat foods that will increase either melee defense, action or mind regen, and attack speed or accuracy, which will not hurt me as much as it would if i were unable to heal myself and thus needed the increases to health pool. also with the combat medic you should always use the booster blue spice instead of the others because it increases mind and action regen at the cost of health regen, which you don't need anyways.

Im MBH/Mrifle/ novice combat medic 4000

i used to be novice doc 0000, and although i miss healing my own wounds, the extra melee and ranged defense is nice

anyone have something similar?

I have a template similar to this only mine goes MBH/Rifle4044/CM4004. I still hit CL80 and have the healing abilities of Combat Medic coupled with some of the better offensive skills. With just MBH/Mrifle it's only a matter of time until the Jedi closes the gap between you and begins dealing out the pain. Your heals may not be enough to help you to survive long enough to get outside of range again. This is why I picked up the xxx4 line of Combat Medic. Once they get within saber range I slap them with a Paralyze then Electrolyte drain and run outside of range to launch an Improved Kneecap Shot. These two snares stack and leads to a VERY SLOW jedi chasing you. Acts almost as effectively as a root.

I'm a master BH, master CH, pistoleer 0/0/4/4, enhanced reflexes 0/4/0/0. I picked up Bh in the first place because tka got nerfed too bad with the CU, i've been a CH forever lol so started with bh because it went with CH the most (tanking, but does more damage then the rest ofthe tanking profesions)/r then i started to really get into the BH role also, the hunting jedi part, but since CH doesn't help at all in area of def bonuses, offense bonuses , non pet modifying skills, i found i needed more def fast, so grabed pistoleer , because it was able to cheaply add in some more new skills, and def skill mods...now i know by now reading this you are wondering if CH doesn't add bods to me , what good is it in a PvP situation. It adds so much, just not in the way of mods, like an extra 480 dps , DOT, and other status changing skills, and adds def in 2 ways, first it adds def in the form of every hit that goes to a pet is not used on you, and second it adds confusion to the battle also which shouldn't be underestimated. my Dps with pets , out + a combat droid is about 1023.09 ..and yes that is DPS. With that kind of damage they have very short time to think about there next move, and to think of there 2 choices ..choice 1. attack my pets, which buys me time to get in some disabling damge like staus changes, and health pool damage, or me(since pets stop attack after i die) that sounds like the one, but really majority of that damge is coming from the pets, and i have 252 def value to both ranged and melee, and don't forget we are tanking professions so we can take alot of direct damge which gives pets ample time to do heavy damage, plus once it gets fixed like it was promised us by the devs we will get specials backinpublish 19including DOT related ones which will raise the DPS. Also for general combat the pets add sort of its own crowd control asspects when working with more then one pet. It is possible to have all your pets attacking seprate targets, or to combine on a single powerful target......the best part is there sorta like a solo group inyour datapad, but at missions end you keep all the profits. Add in some instant stim pack Ds, and some ruby bliel and your good to go with the healing even with no medical training. I heal 1177 per use, and heal very fast thanks to the ruby bliel.

Inotice a lot of people have chosen to go combat medic instead of getting a second ranged profession. I am currently MBH / MC and I am dabbling in a pistoleer. My question is, for someone that will be hunting jedi, what would be a better build: 0404 pistoleer or 0400 CM? ...and why?

also, are their any guilds on Wanderhome that couldtake a new BH under their wings and teach him the tricks of the trade?

I'm MB and MC. I also use CM 4000. The staying power with this template is fantastic.
