Thread: Bagged 5 Jedi AFK Exploiting the Trail

I am pleased to announce that I bagged myself 5 out of 6 grouped Jedi who were AFK exploiting the wookiees at the Webweaver Trail on Kash! They were all over 200k bounties and I made myself a cool 1+ million!I would've gotten the 6th one if the server didn't go down. But, there's always tomorrow!
Instead of complaining about them exploiting the trail, how about everyone go in and kill them! It's not that hard. I even killed a full template defender running force aura and infusion macro. I remember reading a thread by some BH saying he couldn't kill an AFK Jedi defender running aura/infusion and complaining about it. It's not true. You can!
I will keep hunting these AFK Jedi until they realize that the Trail exploit is no longer safe harbor for them anymore.
Good job,
As a jedi I loathe all AFK grinders and I will report them to any BH that asks me if anyone in my group is AFK.
As a bonus I get to duel the BH when he is done with the kill, the death of the AFK'er and being able to have a friendly duel are payment enough for me since I hardly get visits anymore.
PS - As stated by others please try not to pigeonhole all of us as crybabies or exploiters, what the AFK'ers are doing is disguisting...but unfortunately not an exploit at this time.

To me if you are able to set up a macro and watch TV or go to bed while your character can get xp it's exploting the system. In EQ if you are found to this you get banned asap, here it dosn't seem the case if you are a jedi.
What does being a Jedi have to do with it? SOE has ignored the macrotainers, buffbots, lootbots, healbots & every other AFK application that the player base has come up with. Why would they treat a Jedi grindbot any different?
I'm just glad that this is one bot that the player base can handle on it's own.
Congrats to the OPon an easy Mil ![]()

It's an exploit if you want to belive it or not. "Hey let me go to work, but first let me set up my macro so I can go work and my toon gets all the exp that I want, come home from lunch, make sure everything is running smooth then go back.
To "exploit" is to use a bug in the game to some gameplay advantage for your character.
Being able to go afk, run macros that attack things for you, etc, is not a bug. It is working as intended, provided that you are using the game's macro system and ONLY the game's macro system to accomplish this (3rd party macroing is forbidden and bannable). There is no exploit, here, just some Jedi trying to level up fast. You see the same thing in most server's popular loot spots. The Jedi doing this aren't really doing anything wrong, and have nothing to apologize for.
That you BH types are finding the Jedi who are doing this is proof of your resourcefulness, and your determination to get to your marks. Long as you are doing what you're doing cleanly, without resorting to any exploits, you get my *Boba-style slight nod* of respect.

Let's see...macrotainers: helps other people, buffbots: helps other people, healbots: help other people...
Jedi afk grinders help themselves.

Don't forget the afk loot-hoes
"Come to my shop! Best lewt around!"
You BH find em sittin there AFKing? Cool, pick up their mission, and collect your free money. Got no beef with that, and credit you with good investigatory work. But no need to yell "SPLOITZ!" when there are none.
A word of warning, tho...there are some exploitable things to be done down there. BH & Jedi alike should be careful not to use them. You never know when someone is watching

Step into one of theEntertainers forums and ask what effects macrotainers and buffbots have had on their proffession. I seriously doubt many there will say that SOE's allowing AFK play has helped their gameplay very much. I'm pretty sure that pre-CU, the live buff docs didn't feel that the buffhouse docbots did much to make their lives any better either.
I don't want to open a fight here but IMHO SOEshould have crushed AFK play from the start.

As another low level jedi I agree, anyone stupid enough to AFK grind their jedi deserve anything they get, keep up the good work.
Kill them all and leave the at the key 50-100k jedi alone....LOL

Good. Now go get the rest of them. And keep getting them until they get the hint that "Um...maybe AFK-macroing isn't a good idea."
Nice to see someone who, instead of wringing their hands over a problem, adapts and overcomes.
