Erm could have something to do with the fact that if you are in say the marine's and you moonlight as a bounty hunter and track down and kill a colonel in the same unit you are going to get kicked out.
The person whining here is you, if you want to hunt same faction, go ahead, but expect to be citybanned, shopbanned and so on because its frowned upon by most of the playerbase.
You're using the wrong senario. If you were a Stormtrooper in Hitler's army, and you came to the realization that one of your ranks was a traitor, and took him out, would you be kicked out? ...Or promoted?
ah, a traitor that fights for your side and hinders the enemy? Gotcha.
Wait according to dictionary.com a traitor is: 1.One who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason. Or 2.someone who betrays his country by committing treason.
Seeing as we are not really "jedi" and therefore not "enemies of the republic" like palp said, it's still not treason unless you point out explicit laws saying he said no fs at all(and they did let quite a few fs live). EVen then, the emperor had plenty of fs helpers.

I'm sorry, you have lost.
He in no way hinders the enemy if he hunts same faction, he uses a TRUST he gets from being same faction, to hinder the CAUSE of his faction by killing an operative of his own faction, go down to the nearest army recruiter in your town, ask him what its called if you knowingly kill another soldier, and he'l tell you, its treason.
A member of the rebellion killing anohter rebel or an imperial killing a fellow imperial is treason regardless of how you put it.

Okay did u even read what i put, i'm disproving him and supporting what u said b4.
I was being sarcastic when i said "ah, a traitor that fights for your side and hinders the enemy?", because 99% of all jedi are their faction because they like/support it. Therefore his analogy was completley out of context. You could also replace the ah with jedi and it'd mean the same. Again, sarcasm is everything.
Seriously, i know expecting people to be somewhat smart on an internet forums is a little much but i thought i'd made it so blatently obvious i was kidding.......
yeah i relized that, i did however not relize i hit reply on the wrong post

1rst rule of forum posting, the first one to mention hitler loses.
Oh? And why do you not lose because you mentioned the Marines? See, I can use your logic, too.How do you know he was a traitor? mara jade and several other force sensitives worked for the emperor.
Uh...because he was on the Bounty Hunters terminals, that's the whole point. It implies fair game, to Rebel and Imperial alike, regardless of faction.

All you are doing is furthering my point. If an army will protect their own so fervently as you have claimed, then who would have the gall to put a member of that faction on the Bounty Hunter terminals, and why? Obviously, someone of high rank and prestige. Why would they do this? The only reason I can think of, is a traitor...Seeing as we are not really "jedi" and therefore not "enemies of the republic" like palp said,
Has this not been an argument of the Star Wars Galaxies Jedi for a very long time? The basis on how much power they should obtain?

If I may, a correction; he had many force sensitives that he "Used". Once he was done with them, would it not be reasonable to assume that he had them disposed of, so that they may not gain in power and usurp him?
I'm sorry, you have lost.
I'm sorry you feel that this is some kind of contest. I'm having a discussion here, nothing more. Perhaps I have hit a nerve, though, for you to post a comment like that?

Someone on your side of the discussion and you still flame him? That is not very nice...
Simple solution to this whole point.
Rather than fight same faction, all BH should be neutral and not have a faction. If their guild only allows one faction (that is no neutral combatants) then they should move on. At least then there can be no arguement of same faction hunting.
My 2 pennies worth, its wrong to fight same faction. Using a faction as cover however can be thought of as a tactic for a BH, but once caught should then be ejected from guild as a spy / traitor. If they are willing to hunt same faction, whats to stop them hunting their own guild members???

actually according to the geneva convention (also signed by the US) a soldier has the right to not follow any order he considers wrong.
