The only way cover has helped me is my jedi was hiding inside a house, so I went next to the shuttleport and /covered up to make it look like I shuttled away. havent use dit since then.

I've used it on a few marks - Tatooine is fun if you're out in the desert and they are slow to clear a lair. Also great in player cities to camp the shuttle. I usually will go overt in Theed then /cover at the end of the ramp in the hangar and just wait for a poor unsuspecting lone Rebel to try to shuttle out. (and you thought airport security was rough in the US - )

/cover is the key to most Alpha Strikes. I have incorporated thistatic into my technique. It doesn't work everytimebut when it does I hardly ever get touched.

What about using camp then /cover and crawling to your mark as they are grinding?

I love /cover! I use it on every single mark that is not in a public place. From my experience, PCs do not show up on radar until you are about 130m out. I usually cover and crawl in from about 150m. To my knowledge, not one jedi has known I was about to attack. As someone else has suggested, use travel biscuits. They increase crawl speed quite a bit.

Cover is a must if you plan on using "first strike" to it's designed maximum.

It takes patience to set up and execute an ambush .. but the payoff makes it worth it.

Track your mark for a bit and make a well educated guess as to wear he will go to shuttle out. Set up in an area not likely to be traveled around the 60m'ish from the shuttle. Cover up and watch and wait. When he comes in, wait until he is using the terminal. Open with Sniper Shot - Underhand Shot - Critical Shot - Startle Shot - Critical Shot - and perhaps a Headshot .. go collect your money with the db.

Every MBH and Elite range profession combowill have their share of Damage, DOT, debuff and root/snare attacks to choose from. They are alljust named differently from profession to profession but in the end they are pretty much the same general specials.

/cover is a nice perk to have as a Rifleman. No other range profession gets anything similiar. Yes the crawl speed is mind numbingly slow. But some advice. Group with your droid and pick up group terrain tapes, terrain negotiation tapes and rifle crawl speed. Also when you are crawling, UNEQUIP your rifle.
