Point taken, however...
All BHs are not in their servers top 20 or even 100 when it comes to PvP. Then we have knights who say duel me or take my mission instead. Is it not the same thing? They say it because they are almost certain they will win.
Another example is "Come back when I am full temp and I will fight you" same thing there.
I am just pointing out that Jedi are no better than BH in this regard.
On a sidenote I am sick of Paddys saying how helpless they are. Many do not seem to undersatand that by playing it smart and holding on to their old rifleman, pistoleer etc. can put up quite a fight. I once had a 50k bounty produce a powerhammer and beat the crap out of me.
~100k Bounties can be as dangerous as a knight for that very reason, he can have enough skillpoints in Jedi to have Force Aura, Ranged Def and 1500 heals and still whip out an Advanced Laser rifle.
I don't go after low level Jedi for the reason they'll be easy and quick money.
I go after low level padawans simply for the fact that such a low level Jedi should not have, if he grinded approriately, enough visibility to get on the terminals.
If a low level padawan ends up on the terminals, he deserves to be taken down. I personally know a Jedi that's halfway up his template, and he has little to no visibility, because he did it the safe/right way, and yes, he did alot of group grinding. Yea, it may take longer than just grinding on dant, but who says Jedi have to become Knights in 2-3 weeks?
When Jedi choose the quick path by going in groups on Dant/Lok and Kash, and they feel safe and don't think a BH will be coming anytime soon, that's when I get them, and love it.
I'm sick of seeing Level 60-70 Jedi group grinding on misc planets with no concern, and when I come to kill them, and do in three-four attacks, I get flamed with stupidity.

lol no seriously think about it man. Jedi are running for there life. they are going to lose hard earnd xp. thats not fun to deal with. see it from there point of view. they dont want to lose xp and there friends dont want them to as well. also if the mark was 78K i can garuntee he has had BH on him all day. you have to understand MOST bh are like you and go after only low levels. i grind in groups and all day i see the low levels get ganked. These bh act tough cause they know they will win.
Pick up CM with your temp and go solo some 200k jedi and above. Ignore what wother jedi say and on how they can OWN all cm bh cause they cant. send a tell to zoidburg on tempest server and he will let you know how to solo 200k and above cause he does it all the time. almost NO jedi can beat him on our server.

Hard earned exp your kidding me right? I see noob Jedi go full temp in 2 or 3 weeks on Corbantis
Of course I have only been hunting jedi for about 3 weeks now. I never say a word when I kill a mark. I just leave. I leave it up to them to initiate any sort of conversation but I have never had to add someone to my ignore list. At the same time my very first BH mark kill resulted in me being banned from a city. The very first one! Other than that city ban, everything has been OK for me. So far though just decent good manored jedi on Wanderhome.

Rules To Bounty Hunter...
1) Bounty Hunter isnt a loving profession... when you hunt a jedi and try to kill him you dont get a "i love you lets go out for dinner sometime" You will get smack talked and banned.... You get that with the tag...
2) Jedi will run, jump, crawl, swim, and even exploit(not all) to not lose xp.. Its the way of survival.
3) If a jedi does not attack he can freely go in his house b/c of the TEF system out right now..
4) There is no such thing as a "i win button" there is ways around everything get smart.. You might lose the element of surprise but you dont lose the element of striking.
5) Get in the jedi boots or um.. robe
he is scared to death b/c he dosent want to regrind xp and banning will put more stress or time for you to go back to that town.
6) if your not enjoying Bounty hunter do another profession. (like i did dont hunt the mark be the mark lol)
7) **Added** Also, They will blow up your bikes run, jump on buddies bike and laugh at you.. Part of the game Blame the CSR's (I think they are Canadians
)

No this post is not another complaint about Jedi hiding, it is a complaint about the harrassment he recieved when he tried to hunt the Jedi. I have seen this happen, a group of BH's came for a full template jedi in my guild. There were some parties offering rides and banning during the fight...the Jedi actually asked them to stop. That kind of behavior is not cool.

I got a mission today on a level 79 jedi. I am a level 73 3/4/4/4 BH and M Carb. Anyway, when I got to the player city he was in, I walked past the cantina he was at and got a /duel message. I thought "great, he knows I'm here now". Lo and behold, he actually comes out of the cantina. I am amazed thinking this might actually be a cool jedi and is willing to fight, even though I totally lost the element of suprise with the /duel exploit. I went ahead and hit him twice and he takes off running back into the cantina. As soon as he does this, 6 or so of his friends come running out spamming me with /duel requests and I get the "You are banned from using this cities services" message ran across my monitor about 20 times in a row. Then of course I get the messages about how gay I am for attacking a jedi and how I'm a wus and all this crap. It happened to be an Imp jedi and I am Imp (which I am going to switch to neutral because I'm not wanting to deal with the grief I got from his friends again) so of course I also got alot of crap about how I'm a traitor and such. I stated that I was there hunting a jedi mark, not an Imp. So I got a /tell from someone (probably the mayor) telling me to please leave and that the town was sick of having so many BH's coming in. He did apologize for the behavior of these people outside the cantina, but I'm sure that I'm still banned from town.Anyway, I just wanted to come here and say that I think that my hunting jedi are getting close to being over...jedi aren't the valiant, good natured, mature people they used to be when I first hunted. The tells of "great fight, you almost had me" are gone. The only thing I see now is that....
A.) All jedi that get hunted now accuse you of "ganking" them (yes, even when your alone)B.) Any time you hunt a jedi in a player city, you will get banned from that city.C.) There is no honor in the fight anymore...14 year olds still need to learn what honor is.D.) If you find a jedi in town, they'll run into a cantina.....if you find a jedi outside of town, they'll throw down a house and run in.....if you find a jedi on Kashyyyk, they'll run to the nearest bridge....if you find a jedi period and actually try to fight him, you will be drowned out by hate tells and derogatory remarks from the people he's with.E.) With publish 20 coming up, which I doubt there will be a change to the TC notes (there rarely ever is before it goes live), BH will end up being a very difficult proffession to play and the jedi will be that much safer...and of course we will still have to deal with all of the above if we do find a jedi mark. After this little episode today I was quite depressed, remembering how it used to be when jedi's had some character but I can see now this is not that case anymore and it will never be the case again. You all can comment if you want but I just had to get this off my chest.Had to edit this once so I don't offend some jedi that I respect....there are a few jedi out there that deserve respect and fight valiantly and are really quite friendly and fun people...even when they are standing over your dead corpse, they are respectful.Unfortunately, that's about 3% of the jedi population anymore.Message Edited by teufelhundenE4 on 07-11-2005 02:42 AM
I was only ever rude to a BH once....been killed about 5 times...been hunted maybe 30-40 times....but I have ever been only rude to a BH once...recently the BH unlocked and I saw him grinding with a group of Jedi.....I was still rude to him.
Not every jedi thinks that its personal...its part of your content and mine to be hunted.
Our guild has a strict policy that we don't ban BH's who do their job. I agree with that. And hopefully with the new Tef system comming into pay you might find yourself in a better position.
Daire.
Youngling.
Ulvert from Crystal Waters, Correlia <LoL>.... good guy.... anyway,
Walked through the town and got the standard who are you looking for tells but in a friendly mannor...
I hung about for a bit watching them duel and took the first strike... i was the lucky guy who took about 100k payout mission and got the uber defenses of a TKM... he stuck on his powerboost and i shuffled through my toolbars quick... Found the right one and hit him with a critical shot but by this time i was almost dead and realised my stim D was not in the toolbar lmao, and i predictably died.
However... heres the funny part....
The jedi (Ulvert) Bowed... I sent him a /tell congradulating him on his victory and he sent a friendly tell back...
You dont come across these jedi often but when you do it really makes the job worth it

The first time a BH killed me I sent him a friendly tell. I preceeded to have a little conversation with him, when he tells me to ask a group member to chill, seems as though while I had no hard feelings, my group member was sending hate tells. Second time I got BH'ed I said nothing...there hasnt been a 3rd time yet, fought a BH on kash the other day and he used LOS bug to escape me...LOL(rifleman rules..even if your half a jedi!!).
Anyway, there are alot of jerks...but not all.
i have been listening to both sides of the jedi/BH issue and i see it as a good example of PVP.
the most that is missing is as mentioned earlier about honor. both are missing it. BHs that recieve the /dual while trying to fight a jedi are being griefed. low level jedi hunted by BH are being griefed. then you have the case of BHs going after jedi and saying pay me off or i kill you for the low levels. jedi that throw down houses and run into them is an iffy thingy considering the low levels are trying to save there xp that is hard to get and quick to loose to BHs. this grouping thingy that they have forced upon us is backfiring and grinding xp for jedi or any prof is way to easy if the player has an area attack, low lvl weapon, and ppl tanking layers and mobs.
all of it is messed up and making for hard feelings between jedi/BHs and all players that are on either side of it. I am currently doing the village and thinking of going jedi. i for one don't like the idea of a BH being city banned for playing a game that jedi know is a hazard and having friends spam /dual to haz a BH. but i also don't like BHs that go after low jedi for the fact it is an easy kill or ganking them. both sides are guilty of greifs, exploits. BHs that take missions on ppl that are doing guild PVP is the most greivous of hazing.
I for one WILL NOT allow a BH any use of that which I've paid for (every civic building in my city) against me in any way.
It's part of life as a BH. You are going to hack off your mark, and his friends. Deal with it, or quit hunting Jedi. Whether it's part of the game or not, a BH attack is rarely welcome.
