Thread: New Poll: Do you like the CU?

Old system was whichever stacker/jedi could get the first dizzy KD and spam their highest damage weapon. I like the CU a lot more than before.
I have mixed feelings also. I mean having to group is fine but sometimes i like to just do things by myself. Not in the mood to be in a group. I bet if you ask this same question in some other forums like doctor you will get a lot of i hate the cu. Put them out of biz for the most part. If they do what they are talking about and remove BF then that will kill the entertainers also.
I am still willing to give the cu a chance and see how things go. As of now though like i said mixed feelings. I miss a lot of what was in the pre cu game and like some of what is in the cu.
i don't hate the CU...for pvp it is way more fun than it used to be but for pve it blows goats......creatures are just meat bags now.....and as much fun as killing the first 10-15 bh's that came after me....that is getting old really fast
for me grinding was a chance to be alone and think about stuff while actually getting something done....now i have to go fly in space to get that think time for myself (luckily i got 4 more toons to get to master and mining to do now
)

No, not really. Ham changes were good, I'll admit that. But the complete DEATH of the solo game has really hurt this game. How can I say that? This is an MMO, we should group blah blah blah. Well we didn't see half the hatred of Jedi pre-CU. Why? Because they were soloing, the majority were off the bounty hunter boards. Now post CU, the only way to gain experience is in a group. Shoots visibility to heck. Most the jedi you see public probably think, i'm on the boards why should i bother to hide now? Which of course antogonizes all the purists and their groupies. I for one loved role playing the underground aspect of Jedi. I now long for the days of the boring hours of missions on dantooine. It just felt more right in the purist sense as I never went on the boards before the CU. I was content to take my time as long as needed to get things done.
Yeah, I'll second that. I didn't mind having to spend months alone on dantooine, hiding and running at the sight of a dot, now I just don't care, I don't feel unsafe about not knowing "Did that NPC get my on the terms", I know I'm there.
overall....hell no
lightsaber-specific dmg to which no armor had resists, GONE!... 60% of our saber block at mls, GONE!....our 4th gen sabers have beenreduced to youngling training sabers permanently set on "tickle"... uber pve dmg modifiers, GONE!...toughnessinsaber tree which made defender unnecessary toall except those who wanted to be uber tanks, butalso allowed a decent amount of dmg mitigation to the rest of us, GONE!...now jedi have to worry about 3 separate pools from which all abilities draw from, plus a health bar...days of pre-pub 9 when a 4444 guardian could roll over many regular players single-handedly and was probably at least 10 times stronger than any regular double combat mastery, LONG GONE!....days of pre-CU when an FRS jedi could roll over a half-decent amount of regular players and was probably around 3 to 5 times stronger than any double-combat mastery (melee stackers excluded), GONE!...days of post-CU where jedi are a mere 1.5 times stronger than a double combat mastery and STILL being "balanced", DEFINATELY HERE!
now I have to learn what every damn new root, mez, snare etc. icon from almost every branch of every profession is so I know how to try to counter it if I get hit with one...how is that being simplified?
melee profs are now for the most part totally dead...everybody I see is some kind of ranged prof...
pvp has been reduced to riflemen with 2 ranged arms sitting back shooting the enemy while master defender jedi keep them healed...
