Master lightsaber with force speed 2 can use saber throw every few seconds, it has no warmup and the cooldown is nothing more than normal attacks.

Advance saber throw at MLS does a lot of damage. similar to the likes of head/body/leg hit.

Saber throw isnt alot of dmg but it is usful still. Its a good way for a jedi to force you to heal from time to time if he cant easily get within normal melee range. Speaking from both sides (jedi and BH) I've seen, and used, this attack to drain a BH's mind/action pools.

As has been said before MLS saber throw (AKA saberthorw3) is the 2nd most powerful attack for Jedi.

If you are a pistoleer BH you will have to take their hits. Focus on healing, armor and your melee defense. Stopping shot has such a long cooldown timer that you can really only use it when you are in trouble and need a chance to heal. The knockdown works most of the time and they will be able to reach you very often. If you are a pistoleer BH you have to focus on outhealing them and outlasting them because you will not outdamage them. You play mostly a waiting game and you keep yourself alive while they wear themselves out in action, mind and force then you pounce.

Just to clear up some confusion...

The Advanced Saber Throw range is a MLSonly special, with32m range and a KD, and is the second most powerful saber attack, slightly more damaging than head/body/leg hits (which all do the same dmg). Only Power Attack is stronger, but has a warmup timer that can be interrupted (much like duelist stance). The Improved Saber Throw is not nearly as strong, nor does it have a KD.

The damage on Adv Saber Throw was upped a couple patches ago when the cone attack was removed from it. The upped damage was the compensation for that.

Think if SaberThrow is set as an auto attack it would cycle once every 5 seconds.

you are correct, only powerattack does more damage than the master box saber throw

And it has a retarded wind-up bar. Very annoying, I hate the noise those things make.

...Posting rants on these forums is like a rocking chair; it gives you something to do, but it doesn't get ya anywhere... write that down.

Thanks, I thought maybe I was slipping in my old age. On a side note - what's the action cost associated with this special in comparison with the other LS specials? One tactic I'm entertaining (if it's more action intensive) is to hit them with hemorrhage and then kite around while remaining in Saber Throw range to force them into wasting action.

Unless the jedi is double mastery Sabers and Defender, they're more than likely going to have supression(root) and wave(snare), both can land from 32m so it wouldn't be too hard for them to catch up to you anyways (if they know what they're doing, though it seems most jedi these days don't have a friggin clue). Saber throw doesn't seem to have much action cost, though I use it for KD more than damage.

What's the range on those snares? I utilize Carbines so I may be able to remain out of their range a good amount of time by using +Snares+ and burstrun foods.

32 m man, so you can easily stay away as a pistol user, i will ahve to stay in between 33-35, and have some pretty good energy armor. but im not too worried about it.
