Force Armor 2 applies 55% of damage to force pool and passes the rest on to the HAM (last we checked anyway).

This comes after the raw damage is reduced by Jedi toughness, Saber toughness and any food/BE clothing mods (chuckle at how the robe isn't factored in).

Well after a quick test this doesn't seem correct. I mean unless I am some how not factoring in something here. What seems to be the case is regardlessof amount absorbed by the shield, the Jedi loses 25% of the damage done to him from his force pool. So if I shoot the Jedi and hit and the combat spam says I hit for 100 points of damage, the Jedi loses 25 force. This was done with a pistol with AP0 and with the jedi unarmed.

Also what is interesting to note from this test. The /forceArmor2 appears to be AR2. All the numbers I ran confirm that the given damage was resisted by 75% prior to factoring in the 47% effectiveness of the shield. This would be consistent with using a AP0 weapon vs. an AR2 armored opponent.

Thusthe effective damage reduction for my /forcearmor2 (force armor +47) is approximately 87% for AP0 weapons, 73% vs. AP1 Weapons,47% vs.AP2 weapons, and 12% vs. AP3 weapons.

This AR2 rating is probably why the developers made the force cost so high for this skill. To be honest I would rather have an AP1 rating with better resistance and lower force cost. I did not test /forceArmor1 and it may be that this skill only gives you an AP1 rating. However it also gives you about half the resistance so it's not great for surviving, it might be good however in pvp to reduce force cost of your armor, especially at higher FRS levels.

Lol as of not Force armor is a PvP killer. Anyone who has it on vs will most likely die once their Force runs out.

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.
Anyone who says, "Trust Me" can not be trusted.
It is not what you are killing but what you are allowing to live.

No wonder my 200-550 de-10 seems to only give knights a little tickling sensation when it gets through their block O.o

ar2 will do that lol.

There seems to be a /forceArmor2 hole.

I got hit by a Battle Droid in the Death Watch Bunker and he hit me for over 3k damageto my health. However this is what the combat spam showed was that the force armor resisted the blow by 2600. So I should have taken 400 damage and instead I almost died.

It's like 45-50% but if you are still grinding it is not so good to use because any damage that it absorbs/mitigates is deducted from your force pool.

  • Force Armor 1________________75__Reduces all regular damage inflicted on you by 25%; 15 mins [force armor +25]

  • Force Armor 2_______________150__Reduces all regular damage inflicted on you by 45%; 30 mins [force armor +45]

  • Cut and Paste from Jedi FAQ...the 75 and 150 are the force pool that is used to apply....but as stated above anf damage taken reduces your force pool. In my opinion the force pool cost is not worth it except to get you out of trouble.

it absorbs 40% at level 1 and 2 I believe, with level 1 being counted as light AR, level 2 being medium AR.

At the same time, 40% of the damage blocked by the armor is hit on your force pool.

So somebody does 100 damage, you absorb 40, you take a hit of 20 to your force pool.

Its been too long since I tested this, but as I recall FA2 is just a 45% damage reduction, no armor rating (i.e. all vulnerable so there is no AP bonus/penalty). 10% of damage soaked is taken from the force pool.

But again, this was months ago, and I don't have FA in my template anymore.
