I missed root for a couple hours, but if you time youre KD and snares, as long as the jedi does not have alot of crowd controll himself you can keep them out of range, same with PvEWith the reduc in force cost for alot of the powers/enhancer specialsit is REALLY hard to drain the force out of the jedi, however if you can last long enough, do enough dmg to get them healing, keep them at a distance as much as possible, you can get youre mind to outlast theirs and they can no longer heal. IMO this is the best way to wear them out.

I have been in loves with carbs to compliment BH since day one. You get good defenses as well with the pair put together. I would not consider anything else (based on my likes and playstyle), i have played with just about every combo of MBH + pistols, carbs, smugler, and rifle, droping the 'dabled' class and picking up the 4xxxCM IMO is worth it for any of them.

Underhand Shot + Disarm shot or Startle shot (sorry you carbineers out there) is an excellent replacement for a root. At this point, I'd say go for it. If you use your token to get there, with double xp still on you can easily bank enough XP to get back to pistols 0404 or 0044 within 2 hours. But I bet you dont go back. =)

If you are a BH who goes after high priced marks (>170k) then this is the way to go. I've found that with root, I spent most of the battle trying to control my marks rate of attack. That is, using root you stop your foe from attack you. However, for the high level marks this is not entirely a good tactic. Why? Because you NEED the Jedi to attack to use up his action and force. Sounds counter intuitive but if the Jedi is not attacking they are not using their force and action pools. In that case, the fights came down to me eventually running out of fill for Ruby and not being able to heal quick enough.

As an expert Ruby user with Pistols 0404, MBH, MR, by expert I mean I run timers to let me know when I can heal again without using up the Ruby buff thus optimizoing my Ruby Bliel usage, I'd say so far, MBH MR CM 4000 is worth the use of the respec token.

The accuracy of x4xx branch (+40) can be obtained via crispic. You lose stopping shot but a kd and startle shot is a good way to stop your mark from moving for a couple seconds.

With the new duelist stance (250 def), Vegeparsine (+105 melee def), another +185 melee def from MBH, MR, CM 4000, thats 540 total def. With the healing, I now feel like a tank..A tank with a bad ass rifle =).

The nice thing about CM 4000 is that you dont really need any meds. Bacta shot heals for around 1300pts and I dont use bio cloths (i cant, I have a +22 gen ranged speed, +15 rifle acc, shirt =)). I bought bacto spray enhances but I havent had to use bacta spray yet.

Using Stim Ds as often as possoble (to save mind) has been enough for me just to use bacta shot sparingly.

Im thrilled with this temp =).

Sadly, the highest I could go with that template is 2xxx CM. I have already put too many extra points into FS.

I think Aanu makes some very good points and has a good argument for picking up CM 4-0-0-0 when fighting those higher end Jedi... I never picked up anything over 160k+ since my only reason for being BH is to prevent Jedi from progressing too quick and I personally think the EXP loss stings the most at the lower levels...

Anyhow, my question is this:

If yall are using yourself as a "tank" to drain down the Jedi's Force Pool do you not find that the cost of them ripping through your expensive armor to off-set the overall profit margin in the long run?

Reason I like my root so much is I usually dont even have to wear armor...

I dont care about the money, in fact I'd hunt jedi for free.

MBH Mpistol 4000 cm and I can beat 226k jedi. Root is really only good if you wantto keep them from running. Disarming shot and intimidate shot are far more useful.

Just had a lot of success with MBH/MCM pistoleer 0/0/0/4

first off, I used dut pyro (boost accuarcy be 200)

I never had to rotate heals, just used bacta shot. this is important becuase bacta toss and spray stop you for a sec.

for me I open up with a paralize, then thyroid ruoture, snare, shock, another paralize, (it hs worn off by then) and then hemmorage. this means that they can;t attack nearly as fast, using mind and action HURTS, and I the snare means I can unequip my pistol, and run out of range to let my mind rext(I use a lot of mind, but it regens faster than force with my food, drinks, and spice)

poison and fire goes on next, as a aster cm They almost never miss. then i bleed em

Then I just kite and let them use force on heals. I use ranged shot as my auto attack, but I try to not let them in range. when there health or mind starts getting low. Its advanced critical time.

MBH/MPistoleer/xxx4Smuggler

I'd rather have stopping shot because I control the flow of combat with it. Couple that with underhand, concussion shot, disarm shot, intimidate shot and Improved duelist stance.
If I'm having to heal as much as 4xxx CM allows then I'm doing something wrong.

With food and duelist my melee defense tops out in the low 600s.

With my scatter , canape, pixie, brandy, crispic, I can lay a decent amount of damage down fast without having to worry about my action. using adv crit and torso shot.

I have ruby as back up incase something goes wrong and with stims that heal 1291 per use
I can almost heal my full bar.

but i guess it just depends on your style of hunting.

I don't like jedi decaying my armor so I do my best to avoid it.

And if you can get them to heal every 6 seconds then they r going to run out of force anyways. the battle just takes longer.

What do you do when they root you? When I used roots and snares I was fine until they rooted me.

I dunno, last night i fought a 211k jedi for 30 minutes and won using cm4000. It still doesn't seem my style though. You also make a good point about armor. I wonder how much damage was done to my armor during that fight. So confused am I.
