Thread: Reflexion of Jedi house-sitting

I believe the entire complaint that Jedi AFK, or just sitting in their houses [crafting a saber, etc] WASTE the time of a Bounty Hunter. Do Bounty Hunters realize that WE waste THEIR time when we fight them? You cant have it both ways. Yes i understand that this is how the game is, but you cannot force Jedi to fight you, if they cloak + run or just hide in private buildings its all the same. They are not FORCED to wait for you. Drop the mission or come back later. It certainly takes less time to abort the mission and get a new one, that it does to moan and complain on the forums.

Jedi's are betrated for the "no risk, no reward" issue.. the same applies to Bounty Hunting. Bounty Hunters are the only class that "force" PVP, gain the best loot [NPC missions].. You cannot have it all. Learn that there are drawbacks for all classes in this game.

This is like the McDonalds lawsuit for the women suing that the coffee was too hot.

Before or after Ryatt TrailAFK grinds?

Think he meant from village day #1.... 18 weeks minimum time required. Still the argument holds no water with me. Getting a Jedi is NOT difficult, just time consuming. The argument that "I spent more time.... so I deserve more" is just wrong.

The time sink to become Jedi is valid in my opinion. But thats my opinion. I understand if you disagree, but im not saying Jedi deserve some out of this world reward. I think sitting in a private structure is something that should be allowed.

I think sitting in a structure is perfectly allowed also. I never advocated that it shouldn't be. I was pushing more for AFK players to go offline. See the above post from me on how I think the AFK system should change to accomplish this.

Thank you bmill, that is a very valid point. Macros are a delicate subject to deal with. Take them out and you have a wave of backlash from ALL professions.

But I do think you have a valid point, changing the triggers that signal AFK and having an AFK online limit, (30 mins max?) would go a long way to dealing with this. Something worth the time for the devs to look at. Will they????? Who know.

BTW, I was wondering who would be the first to flame me for my registration date! LOL! Been playing for a long time, watching in silence through out all the changes, pub after pub.

The hypocrisy was just getting too much to stand. Be it Jedi or BH.

This game has alot of potential, it's just too bad that it's seems like it's going to waste. I little bit of communication on the long-term strategy would go a LONG way in calming the negativity.

Move along, move along....

Currenlty, there is an AFK timeout. It's either 15 or 20 min of inactivity, and the system will log you out, when you come back, you will be at the character select screen.

There is nothing wrong with anyone being afk in their house. If it inconveniences another player, that is the problem of the other player that chose to seek them out.

Jedi that are afk in their housesuses up the timefor the BH who tracks them down and is an inconvenience. True. This is not the fault of the jedi, but the system that is in place.

Any jedi who is attacked by a BH has their playtime interrupted and is inconvenienced in both whatever they were doing, and by exp loss etc and so on.

The difference between those two things? Not much really. AFK jedi should be either removed from terms or our droid should report that they are in a private structure. That is an adjustment to the system without affecting how another player plays the game her/his way. The OP is correct in that we are throwing stones in our glass houses. As far as the alt, any player who wants to go and grind and do the village quests and spend the 24 skill points for itis welcome to an alt (which is currently, my BH). Every player can get one. You don't have to advance in jedi to get it, so if you don't want to invest the time to do it, I see no sense in complaining about others that do have it.

Read it. I'm a Bounty Hunter and i got to tell you i got no problem with Jedi running or house sitting. I say if you got it use it. Of course i give Jedi extra respect if i can get them to come outand fight. Some have came out which resulted in a loss and win against me. Either way these are true honorable Jedi. Some others though that house sit are either tired, or dont want to lose xp and I respect that. Im not going to sit around flaming them because they wont come out of the house. What I will do, is ask them if they want to pay me off or I will offer to them for me to drop their mission and to duel for encap- not deathblow, If i win they pay me 200k. If they dont come out, then i will go fishing for another. I had a couple people pay me off and i'm ok with that. The time it takes to grind their profession to me requires respect. What bothers me though is getting banned for just using some of their shuttles. I think if they dont want PvP then they should not be Jedi. I got no problem holding my own and admitting when i got myARS handed to me. Instead of being bannedI think we should be able to call a Jedi out of thir city so we are not really just capping them in their city without a full in your face square off, like the old western days. ButI can live with the bans, just lets me see theplanet a little more. Ihave allot of Jedi friends and enemies. Some people come to this game to be a punk, im not all about that.
