I always used to do something like this in my bombdroid macro:
/target MrJedi;
/pause 0.5;
/tellpet ft; (<--'follow other' command is done silently and not in spatial)
/pause 5; (or an appropriate interval, depending on where you are and where the jedi is; gives time for droid to close in)
/detonatedroid (CraftBot); (or other innocuous, sneaky droid name; starts 3 second countdown; also does NOT require you to target the droid to detonate it)
/pause 1;
/fireKnockDown; or /underhandshot; (this puts them on their back so they can't avoid the droid and it can finish the job 2 seconds or so later.)
Then, depending on the jedi's condition, begin other attacks.
Be sure to keep a DB macro running so you can DB ASAP.
/deathblow MrJedi;
/pause 0.5;
/macro DB;
Just some suggestions that used to work for me.

/Tellpet group;
/pause 4;
/ui action targetGroup0;
/detonate;
/pause .3
/target jedi
Saves you the trouble of having to program/name something that will just blow up later.
