I can'T LOL enough at this one....

Diverse? DIVERSE?!?!

LOL

Master Fencer, TKM, DOC....
ALL OF THEM
That got nerfed and guilds like TSA left. Then PvP guild wars died.

forgot the cm/rifleman...and back then was more diverse than now.

rifleman, jedi, and the occasional swordsman.

Na, I remember seeing alot of Commando's and BH's in those groups. Even Pistoleers and TKM's would go Overt. In fact a great many people of different professions would go Overt far more than theydo now. Jedi were not near the number that they are now, and with Perma death back then, Jedi didnt just advertise killing them back then, even though they were extremely powerfull, they could still be killed by a strong enough group.

Any way you look at it, the GCW is dominated by Jedi now. So pretty much any other combination of Non-Jedi back then would be considered Much more Diverse than almost entirely Jedi like it is now.

An absolutly awsome idea.

That server would prolly be the most popular server. And I hope that would make the Devs rethink thier present strategy. As it is now it seems masses of players are leaving the game for other games as WoW. And SWG will not survive LOTR Online for sure.

All we want is balanced servers, where crafters and pvpers has some fun. Would be so fun to see all the regular professions becoming 'regular' again. And bazaars and vendores being filled with ALL kinds of stuff, not only stuff jedi players wants as it is today. Wouldnt it be great to see people play artisan characters as thier main characters again!? Not as jedi alts as it is today.

And with active GCW boiling between Bestine and Anchorhead as back in the old days?

Geee....I can't wait for such an server coming online. It really makes me dream.

yeah look at TC for the CU that was the most fun I ever had in this game and believe it or not combat in the CU is balanced if you take jedi out of the equation. Yeah healing is necessary but it's always been like that.

Again one only has to look at the percentages of forum users to players to see the opinions expressed on the forums do not always extrapolate out. SOE is in it for the money like any other business. If they thought the MAJORITY wanted what you ask for and it would fatten there pockets then it would probably be on the table. If one reads many an article on MMORPG's and how they make money, then one would understand it is a numbers game and the numbers are not there for SOE to put your idea into play.
That said, I would definatley have a toon on a server like that.

I do remeber my reason for grinding Jedi was that i felt i neededa Jeditoon to make a difference in PvP. I have long advocated introducing additional alphaclasses to SWG to fix the Jedi inflation problem.

I do strongly feel that the ability to grind from a normal combat proffession to a alpha class one is an excellent adition to any MMORPG esp SWG where attaining any normal mastery is a grind of a few days at the most.

Most of those new people make the pilgramage are just that..."New". They have no history here in SWG, and are just running with the fad. Thier "Staying Power" is yet to be tested.

I think you're right - because the main question I hear from new people is "how do I become a jedi?". But new people mean new money to SOE, so my bet is they'll push the damn jebi even further. New people are more wanted in any MMO than old people, since they don't demand as much new content. That's just the sad economic reality.

if instead of the jedis getting loads ofstuff changed to suit them and extra contentother proffesionsgot the fixes they needi.e smuggler since from what people say its fecked the now, then I would gladly move there no glow sticks and all the other proffesions getting the fixes they need sounds good to me but soe would never do it, though bhing there would be brilliant.

I think we all know that it won't happen, it's just that we think that it would be a good idea and believe that alot of players would go there and some players that left may come back. I do not believe it would be a "carebear" server except to the Jedi that would call it that, but I care not what Jedi think. I believe there would be constant GCW and people happy to do it.

Agreed, I to belivve it would be very sucessful and give everyone a choice of servers. If a wanna go jedi then go to a jedi server!

No because PvP/GCW was dead the second month of the game going live. It quickly degenerated into gank squads of AT-ST ropes, and then proceeded to fall further from there.Crafters are shafted from drops being better than craftables. I thought Jedi were the only real BH content?

So you see JoBo, a Jedi free server fixes nothing. If I wanted Republic Commando or Bounty Hunter, I'd buy a PS2.

JoBoFedderish wrote:

If it was ever offered, would you choose this type of server over the current jedi infested ones? Have an active and functional PvP, GCW, Crafters and have BHs that could have better content than the crap we have currently? Ideas, thoughts?

Did you know
SOE has changed this game 3 times
Jedi went from being an Icon to a normal profession
The combat system is being reduced to Enemy Territory online

I would definately play on this server, however I would have a limit of 20 jedi, 10 dark, 10 light just to add that feel that they are SUPPOSED to have but SOMEONE (not naming names heh) doesn't know how to implement.
