Dude... THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
This post you just made goes A LONG way to shoot down all the BH's who post thread after thread saying that the LOS is a Jedi-exclusive exploit!!! If I try to tell them BH's use it too, I get called a liar, LOL... Thanks for proving that I am not!
Yes i will use it, if I feel like I am about to die. Its common survival instinct no ? I don't sent hate tells to jedi that will try to use it, because its rational action from their side.

I am sorry I have been living under a rock for some time now. What is LOS and all this fuss about kash?

I really don't care anymore about droid tracking... yes I do get fun out of chasing my mark, trying to approach unnoticed, waiting till the right time to pounce, etc... but after seeing this
Julio Torres: The planet Kashyyyk was designed for most part as an adventure planet with a directed experience for everyone to enjoy. The current plan is to keep this planet a quested story-driven planet for all of our players. There are no current plans to change the status of the Jedi there. Please keep in mind that no one can "live" in Kashyyyk -- we are not allowing houses to be built there. Everyone eventually will have to leave the planet and expose themselves to the other planets of the universe, where there is plenty of tension between Jedi and Bounty Hunters.
I have given up any hope of droids working on kash... I would be extremely pleased if they would just fix that stupid bridge

If only we had more players who readily exploited, then this game could get shut down and save us all some money

As most of us know there are a lot of complains comming about jedi being on Kashyyk, mostly from people with no ROTW (i was one of them). When i got ROTW I went to Kashyyk and looked atRryatt trail. At that moment i knew that it is the BEST thing to happen for BH. Pre-CU and pre Rryatt trail we had to use our droids, be in Kaadara, chase jedi by land, deal with TEF....now it is just like doing NPC mission at novice BH (only you don't need to talk to spynet guy). 99% of the jedi are on Rryatt trail, many of them AFK. All you need to do is get a buddy and run through all instances, record the names and than proceed. Right now jedi are NOT leaving the Rryatt trail, making it a heaven for BHs. Go to the wookiee village and get your mark, just like Novice Bounty hunter mission. And its fault proof due to the LOS zones.Yes jedi run to LOS zones but in most cases you can wait untill they got low health and attack so they have no chance of escaping. In the rare cases when jedi actually starts whooping you LOS becomes your friend. Instead of dying you can turn LOS into your safe zone.
Now lets compare player jedi missions to NPC mission at MBH. NPCs require Arkayd droid, seeker droid, talking to spynet guy, driving to Kaadara, launching arkayd droid, waiting for results, chasing your target on the ground, high chance of failing the mission due to target being in the water etc.
Jedi missions require: weapon, ROTW, ability to get yourself to Rryatt trail, and enough points action to do /advancedcritical shot followed by deathblow.
First, it's nowhere near as simple as you make it sound. Kashyyk is a big planet, with many instances for levels. Currently there are three pretty common methods for Kashyyk hunting. Method 1 involves having a friend scout for you. This is basically the same as the other methods, except you get someone to do the work for you. Probably cost you some credits. Your mark might also move before you arrive, or get tipped off by a double crossing spy. Method 2 involves taking a mission, and when it turns out your mark is on Kashyyk, going there and checking the planet for your mark. As you said, most of them are at the first grouping of Feral Wookies on the webweaver path of the ryatt trail. But not all of them. And even the ones that are have 6 instances to choose from. So you have to search through all those location to find your mark, unless you are lucky. A big problem is that your mark might be headed out of an instance when you are headed in, or vice versa. You are counting on your mark to be stationary. Method 3 involves searching the hotspots first and making a list of who is where. Then you go find a mission on someone in the list. The big problem here is that your mark has a plenty of time to notice you scouting and be smart and switch to another instance to grind. By the time you get back, you have to search all over again. You also are surrounded by aggroing mobs that could attack you during your fight, making the fight a lot harder. I've lost a fight without the Jedi really having to do anything. Just DB'd me when a wookie incapped me. All of this could be avoided if they just hadn't broken our profession and still allowed droids to work on Kashyyk.
Second, the point isn't about how easy or hard it is to hunt the Jedi. It's partly about wheter we should have to resort to these methods. Our profession actually gives us skills so that we don't have to wander around in search of people like other profession have to. We get droid skills that allow us to track our marks around the galaxy. SOE is kowtowing to the Jedi by not trying to fix the problem, because the problem makes Jedi happy. About 1/4 of our profession has been made worthless with the most popular Jedi spot in the galaxy. This is BS and absurd, regardless of how "easy" or "hard" this makes our profession.
Third, it's also about the part I emphasized in yellow in your post. There's no real rule saying this anywhere, but it's questionable how SOE is forcing Jedi and BH to buy this expansion. Jedi have to buy it because they get this awesome grinding opportunity, and BH are forced to buy it because all the Jedi are on Kashyyk. It's one thing to offer incentives to players for buying an expansion, such as free space travel from JTL, but it's another thing to basically screw over anyone who doesn't buy your expansion.
Finally, I'd like to point out your statement that I put in red. Do you realize you are publicly encouraging people to exploit. The LOS zones are a bug, and purposely using the bug to an unfair advantage is most definitely an exploit.

Well basically SWG is a game and I want to have fun when I play a game. Right now I'm not having fun doing my BH job.
VolvoSsixtyTsix wrote:
I don't know about that. In the SW books no BH wanted his mark to be Locked and loaded when he arrives, if they could they would kill them in the sleep (depicted in the movie), or while they are injured ( I saw that somewhere too), or when they are being ganked by 5 gammorean guards (Hmm sounds familiar), or when they were Gtefed by imperial nova troopers under the command of Darth Vader (I remember seeing that too). Being a BH is all about getting money and killing your mark fast, if my mark is AFK or next to the BH terminal...heck it makes me happy. I did my job fast and it was easy. But if you are not into SW logic and just want a challenge...well right now is a dark times for you, and it won't change soon.

fine with me
SOE has gone to greater measures to make things fair, might as well do it again with this

Eventually they will get the point that it is not as safe as they thought

To be honest, it's way more fun to use your droids, try to find the target unnoticed...etc. Kashyyk is just no fun, I rather have a jedi on Tatooine run into a house then a Ryatt Trail jedi.

Takes5 minutes to run through the instance of Rryatt trail. There are 6 instances total. Every instance will almost always have grinding jedi, record the names and back to the BH terminal you go.
