Thread: PLS do NOT fix the Rryatt trail. Also reason why jedi missions are level 75 and NPC are 99.

As most of us know there are a lot of complains comming about jedi being on Kashyyk, mostly from people with no ROTW (i was one of them). When i got ROTW I went to Kashyyk and looked atRryatt trail. At that moment i knew that it is the BEST thing to happen for BH. Pre-CU and pre Rryatt trail we had to use our droids, be in Kaadara, chase jedi by land, deal with TEF....now it is just like doing NPC mission at novice BH (only you don't need to talk to spynet guy). 99% of the jedi are on Rryatt trail, many of them AFK. All you need to do is get a buddy and run through all instances, record the names and than proceed. Right now jedi are NOT leaving the Rryatt trail, making it a heaven for BHs. Go to the wookiee village and get your mark, just like Novice Bounty hunter mission. And its fault proof due to the LOS zones.Yes jedi run to LOS zones but in most cases you can wait untill they got low health and attack so they have no chance of escaping. In the rare cases when jedi actually starts whooping you LOS becomes your friend. Instead of dying you can turn LOS into your safe zone.
Now lets compare player jedi missions to NPC mission at MBH. NPCs require Arkayd droid, seeker droid, talking to spynet guy, driving to Kaadara, launching arkayd droid, waiting for results, chasing your target on the ground, high chance of failing the mission due to target being in the water etc.
Jedi missions require: weapon, ROTW, ability to get yourself to Rryatt trail, and enough points action to do /advancedcritical shot followed by deathblow.

Yes but a lot of us WANT the fuss of tracking planet to planet and chasing and stalking our marks.
If I wanted to wait in a "danger free" zone until my jedi was ready to duel me I would go GCW and not BH.

Haha this makes me laugh. First everyone complains about Jedi hidding on Kashyyk, when people figure out that its not that bad you want to chase them lol ?

I really don't care anymore about droid tracking... yes I do get fun out of chasing my mark, trying to approach unnoticed, waiting till the right time to pounce, etc... but after seeing this
Julio Torres: The planet Kashyyyk was designed for most part as an adventure planet with a directed experience for everyone to enjoy. The current plan is to keep this planet a quested story-driven planet for all of our players. There are no current plans to change the status of the Jedi there. Please keep in mind that no one can "live" in Kashyyyk -- we are not allowing houses to be built there. Everyone eventually will have to leave the planet and expose themselves to the other planets of the universe, where there is plenty of tension between Jedi and Bounty Hunters.
I have given up any hope of droids working on kash... I would be extremely pleased if they would just fix that stupid bridge

You ever read any of my posts? If so, have you read ALL my posts? What makes you think that I complain about Jedi 'hiding' on kashyyk. Ifyou read the post you're meant to be replyingto you would surely, with a little bit of common sense, realise its not the hiding I mind, good test of skill to run around and find em (or was before they started camping ryatt). What I mind is the terrain bug that means they don't have to hide at all on kash and that if I use it I would probably get devved to death in seconds because im not glowy

Where is a direct reference to you ? Pre-Rryatt trail and post-cu jedi hunting consisted of going to Dantooine, finding jedi either in private cantina or near the lair with private house next to it. Most of the hunts were becoming stand offs, jedi were rarely if ever fighting back. Right now jedi have no choice but to fight back which is good thing for me, they can no longer sit in the private house with US not being able to see them. On the trail, if jedi runs into LOS i can see him and I have HIM in disadvantage, unlike when he was in his private house and i was outside.

Here is the problem. It is not fun to have your marks standing afk always in the same spot. What is exciting in PC bounty hunting compared to NPC bounty hunting is :
- a PC mark can be anywhere and can move in a more imaginative way than a NPC ; a PC mark can be doing anything when you will find him, but in most case will not be standing doing nothing like a stupid NPC

Now ifPC marks are in the rryatt trail 99% of the timeand if they are afk, they become even less interesting than NPC marks.
So unless you play Bounty Hunter just for money or for the pleasure to make jedi lose experience,the Kashyyyk situation is not interesting. It's boring and removing a lot of the BH profession's interest. I play BH for money, to slow down jedi progress, but above all for the excitement of the hunt and the fight, and the feeling that I can behave like a real BH. Currently I'm not finding the satisfaction I used to have in this profession.

Firstly the jedi use the dueling exploit to see if you have a misison on them, then they run to LOS if you do even before you can get there. They do not go back to grinding and letting you wait for their health to go down if they KNOW you have their missions. Secondly there are only a handful of places in kashyyyk that have good xp for them. I can still find these jedi wherever they go on kashyyyk. Fix the exploits so they they dont know who I have a misison on and so they cant escape to invulnerability 10 feet away.
Even if they fix the exploit jedi will still be grinding on the trails... well they will actually move to another LOS exploit spot and it will be the new FOTM exploit grinding spot. (most likely in the myyydril caves)
98% of jedi are grinding in the trails because of the exploits. They level at no risk to themselves from PVE or BH death. The spawns are constant and fast so you have very fast xp with no risk. That is why people are finishing their tempaltes in a couple weeks without risk. That was not intended by the devs to grind to full template jedi in 2 weeks by exploiting, unfortunately almost all of the grinding jedi are doing this.

I don't know about that. In the SW books no BH wanted his mark to be Locked and loaded when he arrives, if they could they would kill them in the sleep (depicted in the movie), or while they are injured ( I saw that somewhere too), or when they are being ganked by 5 gammorean guards (Hmm sounds familiar), or when they were Gtefed by imperial nova troopers under the command of Darth Vader (I remember seeing that too). Being a BH is all about getting money and killing your mark fast, if my mark is AFK or next to the BH terminal...heck it makes me happy. I did my job fast and it was easy. But if you are not into SW logic and just want a challenge...well right now is a dark times for you, and it won't change soon.

How long does it take you to incap the jedi ? Do you run to them while being chased by spiders and wooks ? It takes me 1-7 shots to take down any jedi on the trail. Even if they DO use duel they have no time to run to LOS, i open up with root KD damage specials he is toast. This applies to 200k marks too, if you can't do them solo bring friend along. They CAN'T outheal you and surprise tactics works for me. If jedi escapes from you to the LOS...you keep him in the position of the hostage, so you are again a winner. If he logs, well he won't get any XP why would you complain ?

This post you just made goes A LONG way to shoot down all the BH's who post thread after thread saying that the LOS is a Jedi-exclusive exploit!!! If I try to tell them BH's use it too, I get called a liar, LOL... Thanks for proving that I am not!
